    Was this a defective return?

Clearly this was a return and not brand new. Inside box was worn where pistol had been removed and reinserted. No plastic bag on the pistol. Dafety was locked in place and could not not be moved with any effort. Kept working it and working it by hand until it budged. Still cannot be done with one thumb. Called and got return authorization and was informed I would be evaluated for repair. Very annoyed that I bought new and will have a defective unit that had to be repaired.

    Awesome!

Works great and a lot of fun. I own a 9mm P226 MK-25 and this is great to just plunk around my backyard with when I can't get to the range.

Great Purchase - worth every penny

Its solid, reliable and accurate, just like it's real counterpart. It is built exact so it is great for practicing holster drills, sight acquisition and other training scenarios. If shoots great and embeds in plywood up to about 25 feet on a full cartridge. The magazines make reloading easy, and overall operation of this gun is simple and smooth.

    SEAL of approval

I first fired a P220 in the mid-1980s and the quality and performance of that gun made it a certain favourite for the armed services the world over, as proved by the wide adoption of its derivatives. This air pistol, although suffering from the binary pellet/gas mechais, still provide a high standard of performance from an air pistol replica. of particular merit are details like the threaded barrel which accepts a suppressor, or i f so inlined you can retro-fit a compensator and go all John Wick with it. The decoking/safety lever is a neat tough, which actually performs both functions well. This pistol sits well in the hands and needs no grips or sleeve to fill you hand and improve stability. The weight of the gun is such that even with a longer metal suppressor it remains well balanced and acquisition is unaffected. Although, the ability to swap-out the front and rear risghts would help when shooting with a 'tube' fitted. The )226 uses the earliest of the magazone formats; twin 8-round rotary mags, which although effective, have been gretly improved in the P320 and M17. I may not feel able to award full marks when comparing this against the others in thsi stable, but on its worst day the P226 out-performs its action-air competitors. Anyway, is there anything cooler than the 'boxy' profile of the original black Sig? I think not.

    It's the real deal, only

It's the real deal, only it shoots .177 pellets. Same feel, same heft, accurate and a good trigger both single and double action. Great way to stay current. Fun, too!

    Like the looks and feel

Like the looks and feel of the pistol. Also like the 16 shot magazine except 20 would be better. However, only get about 50 decent shots per gas cartridge versus the Crossman's 60+. It shot about 2-3 inches low at first although it seems better now but need to be able to adjust the elevation of the sights. Should be able to turn off the slide action to use gas for better purpose.

    Things I liked:

When I bought my first Generation P226 Co2 pistol the advertised FPS for this model was 450 or 480? I know for a fact it wasn't 380 fps because I wouldn't have bought it. But even on Sig's website it says 380 FPS now. Did they actually knock down the FPS???!!! Mine hits hard using H&N hollow points.

    Things I would have changed:

Tighten the slide from the factory (I did this myself) Would have preferred the chamber cut out in the slide for the ultimate replica experience. I'm very disappointed that the FPS in these current production models have been reduced to down to 380 FPS.

    What others should know:

A HUGE disappointment that Sig reduced the FPS from 450 down to 380.

    I bought 2 of these

I bought 2 of these at the same time, one shoots perfectly and would highly recommend. The second is not so good, shoots only about half of the pellets from each clip? No mater which of the 4 clips it is. Also this one came with a slightly damaged rear site. This is a great training gun if you get “the good one”.

    Crap

I received this sig sauar p226 , I got it for the wife to play with, the gun looks great it heavy and all metal and looks well built,I put the co2 in then loaded the plastic cartridge with pellets then put it in the gun, well it wouldn't seat in , so after a gave it a good wop with my hand it went in ,so I fired one shot and it had plenty of power I tried it again and it was Jamed,it didn't reset for the next shot,so I managed to get the thing out and moved it a little bit popped it back in , gave it a wop and shot it ,then it was Jamed again ,after a YouTube video,I took it apart, the co2 thing was setting about a good eight to three sixteenth to far in ,, the barrel was loose,,and the thing where the hammer sits was broke so it doesn't reset itself,in my opinion the gun is well built crap and plainly a waste of money

    Fun.

Lots of fun. It allows me to shot at home and a lot cheaper than going to a range, especially with the price of ammo now. I feel it is like a more realistic form of dry firing and will allow me to keep up my proficiency.

    Great quality

Love the feel. Have a P220 as well as a P365, and the quality is outstanding accuracy is decent but may need a sight tweeking . Time will tell.

    Just like the real thing

Impressed with the feel almost as real as can be. I have not had any misfire issues at all. Wish it was able to take apart to clean it better

    Good pistol - works great.

Good pistol - works great. Love it's identical to the 9mm version in size, weight, trigger pull. BIG drawback - fixed sights! My pistol shoots about 8 inches below fixed sights at 25 feet. NOT GOOD! Sig Sauer - correct this issue by changing the rear sight to be ADJUSTABLE for windage AND elevation like the 9mm!! I have corrected this flaw on my pistol by adding a laser sight to the rail and dialing that in for accuracy. I would have given this rating 5 stars if the pistol had an adjustable rear sight.

    Pros cons

Great gun. Shoots true and straight and accidental experience it does hurt if your hit. Now thank gosh it was a pellet gun for training the little one and not a real one but that’s what training is for. It good weight and real feel and coil. Loading is different as it’s not a real drop magizine. But other wise great. Down falls. Obiviously the mag is not a mag. The ejector port isn’t real it’s sealed and personal issue I don’t like the when the saftey is engaged it clicks the hammer forward. I’m just not a fan of that too many issues can go wrong but great gun good feel and weight and shoots true. Good training tool
