SIG Sauer MCX Gen2 Reviews

This is a great little gun. It is fun to shoot and easy to load and operate. The PCP conversion gives many shots. This is not a hard-hitting pellet rifle therefore not suitable for hunting or long-range target shooting.

The PCP conversion is too long. This gun is designed to be CO2 but they should have a version (.177) that is designed for HPA tanks like the SIG Sauer MCX Virtus PCP (only in .22).

The PCP conversion adds 3.5 INCHES to the Length of Pull!! This can be a problem for young shooters. It still works if the butplate is removed and the tank rests on the shoulder but that teaches bad form. If this is a problem for you, I suggest getting the SIG Sauer MCX Virtus PCP in .22.

checked screws and tightened any that were loose,!sprayed a little lube and it shot perfectly at 50'. This is a blast to shoot for anyone. Great price too..... Get yours today!

Everything, it’s comfortable, feels real, I have had NO PROBLEMS. And I’m a beginner, I shoot it almost everyday.

This is an excellent starter rifle gun, it’s sure lasting me and I shoot almost daily, I love this gun, it actually has me looking for similar SIG rifles, great pellet gun.

I like the feel and weight, so far it doing the job.

Pcp, semiautomatic! So fun, plenty of power for long range 20 to 30 yard plinking. Just a joy to shoot. 240 shot on one fill! Simply outstanding gun!!

Maybe add a complete buttstock to cover the bottle.

Such a great practice tool, fell in love with it after shooting it a couple of times. I decided to dress it up a little and added a couple of aftermarket items to fit my current needs.

Trigger pull, rather Hvy BUT it is due to the feed of the gun witch seems to be attached to the trigger pull and used to index the belt fed mag!

Had mine about 3 weeks now put over 500 rounds through it, first CO2 ran dry gun would not function, until I banged the buttstock on the ground which dislodged what the malfunction was... If your looking for accuracy, look elsewhere, tried 5 different kinds of pellets best I'm getting is a 1 inch group at 15yds...

The MCX is going to be a fun toy for the back yard as it is intended. Instructions or manual non existent. Short list of steps on how to load pellets for the mag were useless. Paying this much for a pellet gun should not require the users so go to Utube for instructions....that were not correct...

Just got it and fired 210 rounds (one tank fill) without any problems using the pcp down to 1000psi. Quite accurate at 25 yards. Used Gamo Hunter pellets and Excite wadcutters. I fire using the iron sights and had to take off the butstock to aim properly; still enjoyed it but would prefer to have a butstock that worked. I did get a VEVOR PCP Air Compressor, Auto-stop Powered by DC 12V Car or Home AC 110V/220V, 4500Psi/30Mpa/300Bar w/Built-in Water/Oil Adapter & Cooling Fan for Paintball, Scuba, Air Rifle.

The butstock should be altered to allow aiming with the iron sights.

So far, I give it a 9.5 out of 10.

Have not had an opportunity to shoot it yet, but the presentation is great. It feels great and is very realistic to the actual firearm.

I purchased this air rifle for the kids when we went shooting. They had a blast shooting at the targets. We never had a problem with the gun jamming . It was also very easy to center the site. Great product! Highly recommend it. It was fun to shoot.

I had to try it, I know after all the problems from the gen ones had given the trust was low but I couldnt resist to see if they got it right. And its been smooth shooting the trigger is done right what ever they did they made this a fun plinker finally its worth the purchase so far.

Love the realistic feel and look of the gun. Its super powerful and accurate as well. Good fun for everyone to shoot and learn gun safety as well.

This gun is just plain fun! The trigger is fantastic. Don't buy this gun for pest control, I don't think it's intended for that. Buy this gun for shooting at reactive targets or for training purposes and just enjoy shooting it. It works really well with a single 12g CO2 in an adaptor and you can get a full magazine worth of good shots. You can get 3 mags with the Umarex 2-12g adaptor. I put a Sig red dot on mine and it lines up perfectly with the iron sights and makes it a lot easier for my not so young eyes to see. It also looks very cool.

I wish there was room in the stock for a CO2 saver when using the 88gram cartridge but that's a minor thing.

Yes the PCP version would be more practical to shoot but I like the looks of it in the CO2 version and I have it displayed in my office.
