Great looking gun , great wood finish , fit and finish , great power , fair sights

The trigger is horrible , the stock is way to short , if the stock fits you -you will be too small and weak to cock it or pull the trigger with enough control to have a chance on hitting a large barn door .

This gun had a no fire 1 out of 4-5 shots . I talked with someone at the company to see if any of these issues would smooth out but they said no . Buy a Red Ryder with the metal lever and all of the above issues become non issues ,

The cowboy look, its sturdiness. its accuracy is above average.

Make the pumping mechanism lighter, the stock longer.

This is a gun made for a size of a 10 year old person, but few of them have enough muscle to pump it.

The lever action is mainly metal and wood but the sights and trigger are plastic. Accuracy is pretty good, smoke comes out of the barrel oil hole from each shot and the smell of smoked wood kicks in after several shots.

Wished the sights were bigger because sights on rifle are very tiny. Wanted length of rifle was longer even though this rifle was intended for young shooters. Lever is somewhat hard to cock back and I wouldn't recommend this gun to young shooters just yet since crossman just started production on these first model Marlin. better to wait for next generation Marlin for more changes suitable for young shooters.

Make sure when the lever is cocked back to original place before pressing the trigger. I didn't do that and the metal lever snapped back on my middle finger with 20lb force, I thought I sliced my finger off. The Marlin quality finish is a lot better than the Daisy Red Ryder since the Red Ryder has a plastic lever but the cocking mechanism for the Red Ryder is much easier to cock and more suitable for young shooters when Marlin requires 20lb cock force.
Get the Marlin when they make another version to fix and get the Daisy Red Ryder for your children for easier cocking mechanism.

Worth the money.

Solid feel,good constuction. metal and wood.not alot of plastic. Good old fashioned basic fun.

A little short for adults.make the stock about 3inches longer. Good size for kids though. Add a fiber optic sight in the front. Good deal though for the price.

Wish they made one adult sized to use when shooting with the kids.

Finish, good quality and value.

Lengthen stock to same size as Daisy Red Ryder.

I bought this Chinese made air rifle out of curiosity. It is a kid's rifle. The short
stock says so. The light colored wood stock and forearm are smooth and
well finished. The black finish on the metal is also smooth and appears deep.
The rear sight is elevated via steps. Allen head screws hold the gun together.

I shoot this little around at tin cans set 20 feet away. The rifle has enough
power to produce an audible 'clink' when the BB hits the can. At night, I
pick off large water bugs as they scurry along the ground. Overall, this
rifle is a short distance fun gun. The discharge sound is low and it is not
hard to cock.

I parked the little BB gun next to my Marlin 39s and 1894. Wish this rifle was
made in the U.S.A.

SOLID construction!!! I hated the plastic cocking handle on the "Red Ryder" type rifles... This thing is well put together and I'm sure will provide my Son years of use... It's not very accurate but for what it is, it's not bad...

Nothing really, I'm pretty satisfied with it overall...

It's a fun "first" gun for little ones to get acquainted with gun safety which is what I got it for... That and just fun...

I was very impressed when I received this gun, It's well made and strong. The lever action worked smooth and fires bb at a decent velocity. The stock looks like wood and feels good. I am very satisfied with the Marlin and the price is fair, reasonable. Thanks Pyramid for quick and efficient service and delivery!!
