Overall, this M3 is built tough....Imagine carrying this thing on a battlefield every day and night....It is very built and sturdy as are the magazines....No jams as, good quality, BB's flow perfect....Make sure the CO2 plug is seated tight, donot over tighten, to pierce both cartridges....
Things I would have changed:Nothing....It is perfect the way it is....
What others should know:This is a heavy gun so younger shooters may have a problem holding and controlling it...No rails to mount extras sch as red dot, lights or scope... The M3 is not made for any additions...All you need is the gun, spare mags, oil, CO2 and you ready to go....Remember, as with all firearms including air guns, accuracy comes with practice, practice and more practice... The M3 is not made to be accurate...It's made for full automatic fun....Also, remember to lubricate....My rule of thumb is with all my collection, "if it moves, oil it"....

Things I would have changed:The trigger guard edge is very sharp and not comfortable to the hand, it should been a little thicker with rounded edges. It is a stamped sheet metal gun so you have to accept sharp edges.
What others should know:Gun is hard to sight in and you really have to crank in the magazine plug to get both co2's to pierce, almost needs to be torqued. Also it is not easy to get the bb's to stagger stack right in the magazine

I like the weight and feel and look of the gun. Very nice even if you just use it as a wall hanger in your Man Cave. I will shoot mine and enjoy it. Some how I ordered two of them but I will keep both. I also have an extra mag for them and will order another..
Things I would have changed:I did unscrew the barrel and the real barrel inside seems to be made of a polimer plastic. It seems to me for the price of this thing it should be made of a metal. Also for the price it should come with a leather sling. Although I read where a M1 carbine sling will work and it also looks like a SKS dog collar sling will work. But for the price.. come on include one with the gun.
What others should know:Its pricey but buy one if you can and enjoy it as a wall hanger or a shooter or both.

Things I would have changed:Remove piece of sharp metal from front of stock under barrel.
What others should know:The gun feels and looks like the real gun weighing in at about 12 pounds. I adapted a bipod on it,so it makes it easy for target shooting.

Just got my M3 about a week ago. This is the 1st weather allowed me to shoot. Wow!!! Fun is the word. I only put two clips through it today. but what fun. I can see having a lot more fun come spring. I just took the CO2 out and noticed only one pierced. I don't know if it were the top or bottom, because I just let them fall out in my hand. One had a good hole in it the other only a dent. I oiled the threads with some RWS, and I will try shooting it tomorrow when I have more time. I did draw down until the threads did not seem to turn anymore. I did not apply any more force after that. Don't want to damage any seals.
Things I would have changed:Nothing if my CO2 piercing mishap was just a fluke and does not happen again tomorrow. If not, there is still plenty of time to send the gun, or clip back for a replacement.
What others should know:Overall, I love it. I am also giving it a five star for accuracy. Not that it has a close spread, but because it is way better than what I was expecting.

It looks, feels, and operates just like in the videos. Very nice. 4 stars only because of the mag issues below.
Things I would have changed:The magazine feed slot. It's very much like the MP40 magazine issue when loading.
What others should know:Like others have stated. There can be and will be a feed issue if you don't stack the BBs properly. As with the MP40 you must alternate the BBs so they double stack no gaps. I would think that since the thompson M1A1 came after the MP40 and has no issues feeding. This M3 would have been performed just as good as the thompson. And not like the earlier MP40. The mag takes 2 co2s like the others.
But there is another issue so far. Only one out of the 2 got pierced so far
If you purchased the MP40 and are content. This M3 will be fine. I'm content. But that Thompson though, that's my baby right there.

I own the M1 Carbine (Wood) and Thompson from the series, both very much impressed me. I own real M1 Carbines, and again, the legend bb model impressed me. The Grease gun, again... feels sturdy. I've never handled the real thing, but it feels as if it may in my imagination and being familiar with other weapons in the period. Very nicely detailed. Fun to shoot. For me, it's mostly a wall hanger. I first got the Thompson for a wall hanger , and a 1911 that had close to real markings . Real replicas from decommissioned parts are very expensive. I had a disabled wwII m1 carbine for a hanger, but when the legend came out, put that real one back together, and hung the legend. I have a decommissioned Garand as a hanger, all bad parts, and disabled in many ways. So really , with the "Winchester" co2 m14 that was out a while ago, I have all the wall hangers I wanted for my man cave.
Things I would have changed:the other two legends models I own, never jammed. This one jams a bunch, have to take out the mag , reinsert and cycle the bolt and all is good. No tough jam to clear. Seems the bb just isn't feeding well. Site are not regulated well- nor is is a flat shooter, but hey, it's a bb gun with a smooth bore. The selector switch, is a bit tough on the finger nail to change.
What others should know:As with any of these with blow back , it eats CO2 cartridges.
Not accurate per say, but with CO2, full auto, and smooth bore, don't expect it to be.
Heavy. And not a toy.
I did buy spare mags, haven't tried them yet to see if they are more reliable feeding than the one that came with it.

Well, I finally got the M3 Grease gun after a long… long, wait. I really like it although it is a beast weighing about 7.67lbs., without the full CO2 cartridges. It has a nice black finish and the controls work great. I previously bought 2 extra clips because they were available before the BB gun was not. Although the clips do hold 60 BBs one has to do some manipulating of the BBs lined up in the clip to make all 60 BBs to fit. To me is not worth the time it takes to align the BBs (the BBs are staggered like the MP-40 clip) I am happy with the count of 53 to 55 BBs to fit. I have done three clips and each clip produced 5 reloads each before the CO2 was done. The metal gauge shell of the M3 frame is quite thick, so it could probably be used as a hammer, it is of vary sturdy construction. The barrel does unscrew which is connivant for cleaning the Barrel. The wire (steel bar) stock is easy to deploy by a simple button and can be removed easily. Clip release is easy with a large button l
Things I would have changed:The screw in CO2 plug is not made of a machined steel but rather a long piece of what appears a “white-metal” (not steel) metal. They are about twice as long as the other Legends’ guns. I do not know why this decision was made but it works. I would like the Umarex Legends’ company the make a STG 44 the Sturmgewehr assault rifle, what an addition to the collection would that Be!
What others should know:The Co2 cartridge install was kind of tricky the first time. I was very careful not to force the first couple of times. I used a 100% silicone oil to lubricate the treads. I did it a couple of times without any CO2 cartridges. Just screw them in by hand, taking cate that they are following the threads. So, screw in carefully. I did it about 4 times carefully first be hand until it stopped then I used the 6mm hex wrench all the way down till it stopped. The short wrench that comes with the gun will be insufficient, With my other Legends Gins I purchased a couple 7.5 “ long 6mm wrenches for more leverage. I needed them for this Gun, when I did the first CO2 load, I needed to use a vice (shop towel to protect the clip) to unscrew the plug. You are going to have to really screw those down to puncture both CO2 cartridges. It did get easer the second time.

I've always thought the M3 Grease Gun was one of the coolest looking submachine guns. I was late to the pre-order party, so had to wait a couple extra weeks. It looks great, feels great, and shoots great. Now I just need them to make a Legends Sterling SMG.
Things I would have changed:Everything's good so far. Feels very solid.
What others should know:On my first time out, I was able to get 120 shots before the CO2 gave out. Turns out, I only got one of the CO2's punctured. I guess I would have made 4 magazines out of the two CO2's if they had both pierced. Make sure to give it a little extra twist when you put the CO2's in. Oh, by the way, my results were in rather cold weather... it was starting to snow.
Also, remember, if you're only going to shoot a magazine or two, you can use a single CO2 along with an empty one. I suggest putting the empty in first.
Pay attention to how the BB's are sitting in the magazine. They should be staggered neatly. Otherwise you're going to lose a little capacity. Most I could get was actually 59 BB's in the magazine. I will say, it's one of the easier loading magazines.
There's no cocking lever, you insert your finger into the bolt and pull it back. Don't worry, it moves quite easily.

Just got this yesterday after a 14-month wait (not PA's fault) and couldn't be happier! It really looks and feels the part--the replication is stunning. Functioning is 100% both semi and full auto, accuracy is quite good, and it shoots where the sights look. What's not to like? BTW, it is not necessary to load two CO2 cartridges; like the MP40 and M1A1 Thompson, it runs just fine on one. Power is not reduced, you just get half the number of shots, is all. (More on this below.) This is a GREAT gun and well worth the money.
Things I would have changed:As the late great prophet Tom Petty sang, "The waiting is the hardest part." About the only "change" I can think of to suggest would be to offer it in a "well-worn/patina" Parkerized finish, as the MP40 was offered at one point, but the satin black finish is VERY attractive and well done. BTW, the proper sling for this gun is the common M1 Carbine sling, so if you have one of those on hand, you're good to go.
What others should know:1. Magazines do not interchange with the Umarex M1A1 Thompson.
2. The site specs say the rear sight is adjustable for elevation. If true, I've yet to discover how. Doesn't really matter, as it shoots VERY close to where it looks as-is. NOTE: The front sight blade is thin and fragile-looking, so be careful with it. (If you do happen to break it off, it doesn't look too difficult to affix a replacement of some sort.)
3. The site specs say the mag holds 30 BBs. I got 52 into it easily and suspect it might actually hold 60.
4. Site specs say about 120 shots per fill. The mag takes two CO2 cartridges but like the MP40 and M1A1, the gun runs just fine on one (put an empty in the other slot as a filler). I got 104 shots (2x52) out of ONE cartridge so I suspect a "full fill" will go 200 shots or more. Note that with one cartridge, power is not reduced, just the number of shots. The gun stopped running full-auto near the end of the cart but I was able to get off the last 6 or 8 shots semi.

IT FINALLY ARRIVED! I had suggested that this be added to the "Legends" line-up about 3 years ago. (Obviously, Pyramyd listened. THANK YOU!!) Pyramyd offered preordering back in Oct 2021 and I jumped on the opportunity. I recieved it today, and am 100% satisfied with the wait and item! It is all of what one would expect, and more. In my chrono testing, it performed as spec'd out, and I had no issues with it at all. Accuracy is pretty good at 25ft (2 inch pattern), but I'm pretty sure that's the shooter's fault. Not the manufacturer. I used 4 "Full" mags (60 rds) on semi before performance drop is noticed, and just over 3 1/2 mags on all full auto. I could probably get more out of full auto if I let the co2 cartridges defrost a bit between bursts. Thanks Pyramyd for working with Umarex on this. It was well worth the wait.
Things I would have changed:Eyelets for the sling could be screwed on like the originals instead of spot welded. (TRIVIAL.)
What others should know:Although this fine piece is advertised as am "M3", it is actually a replica of an "M3A1". The M3 had a charging handle on the right side, and the ejection port door was smaller. This version as the M3A1 has the larger ejection port door and does not have the charging handle carried over from the original M3. Not a complaint on my part by any means. I'll keep it and enjoy it just as it is. Just a FYI for all.

It's a hefty sturdy replica that feel amazing in the hands the weight is very nice as well..
Things I would have changed:The thing it's missing "FOR ME" is the function of Field Striping.. I want the Field Striping Ability... I haven't put this thing the test yet . But I'm sure it will perform well..
What others should know:I haven't used this thing yet but it feels amazing in the hands and it the replica that I've always wanted.. Im really Hoping that they replicate the TEC-9 and the Mac-11 with it's Full capabilities that's what will be amazing to me..
