if you are a reenactor (like me) it is easy to get it firing off co2 by taking out the spring in the clip. just don't lose the screw

A solid five stars, The first thing you will notice is its realistic feel, just a solid, well balanced chunk of metal. Easy to hold, easy to aim (with the front sight painted ), and surprising accuracy for a smooth bore.

Nothing

Make sure to add a drop or two of oil to all the pivot points of the toggle and maybe three well spaced drops on both inside tracks were the toggle slides, then work the action maybe twenty times to work the oil in, you can always wipe the excess off. A few drops of oil where the mag slides the BBs up and a drop on your CO2 and at least 500 shots later its been working like a charm. My only complaint is that it will go through CO2 rather fast, but it’s a small price to pay for a gun this realistic and fun to shoot.

Size, weight and feel in the hand is very realistic. Blowback is forceful and lends nicely to the realism. The gun also field strips easily for cleaning and maintenance. Overall, construction is well done and fit and finish are first rate. I would recommend this gun to all collectors and enthusiasts.

The grips look nice, but they could be of better quality. Sight picture could be better as well. I get about 3 magazines per C02, so gas consumption is a little on the excessive side. Needless to say, a more efficient gas system should be incorporated.

My first outing with this gun I installed a C02 cartridge, and after a few shots, C02 began to leak out. I immediately tightened the C02 a little more and the leak stopped. I guess that I initially did not tighten the C02 enough. I will be more careful in the future. A drop of silicone oil on the C02 cartridge before installation will go a long way as well.

Looks, quality of build. Like the nice cardbox form fitting box.

Changes would probably increase price point. Adjustable rear sght and heavier grips.

This is a review for the 2nd pistol I got. After several hundred rounds the first pistol jammed up. In retrospect I think it was due to me trying to shoot on low co2. The toggle locked and I could not remove the magazine. Pyramid Air sent me a new gun, for probably my error. For normal shooting in cooler rooms or weather figure just 2 clips, 42 shots of shooting and then change co2 . The thing is addictive to shoot and a lot of fun.

Amazing resemblance with the original. Attention to the detail.

Brown grips is a must.

A litle underpowered

I love the realistic action and the accuracy of this pistol. It's very impressive to hold in your hand and it feels just like the original P08 Luger. It's hard to set it down once you start shooting it. I just became a believer in BB guns again.

EVERYTHING !!! IT HAS THE LOOK FEEL BALANCE AND ACTION OF THE REAL THING. IT EVEN BREAKS DOWN THE CORRECT WAY...THE TRIGGER MECHANISM AND THE MAGAZINE (SIZE WEIGHT, AND SHAPE) NICE!!

THE ONLY THINGS I'D CHANGE IS TO UP THE MUZZLE VELOCITY, AND MAKE THE GRIP A LITTLE MORE SOLID (THEY FEEL HOLLOW, LIGHT WEIGHT AND CHEAP) THE REAL THING WAS MADE WITH PRECISION AND WITH ONLY THE BEST MATERIALS......

Great weight and feel

BBs stick in barrel once air gets low, must be cleared with a cleaning rod. Most guns they just roll out barrel if air is gone.

Unique gun, must have for any collection.

The P08 is a lot of fun to shoot. At 15 feet I hit some bulls eye and over all I was getting good groups. At 30 feet, with wind gust up to 15 miles an hour, I was not getting as good of groups and had to hold two inches high to hit in the black on the target. I get 42 shoots out of my co2 before I change. I might get more, but I don't want to push it to where I have a bb in the barrel. It is easy to load the bb's and I had to learn how to put the co2 in the clip. I found you must tighten it as tight as you can for it to work right.

I wish the offered a holster with this Luger.

The realistic reproduction of this classic pistol is GREAT!! The blow back action makes the feel very realistic. the all metal construction also adds to the realistic feel. For a BB smooth bore it is quite accurate.

Perhaps wood grain/wood color grips would enhance this already great pistol.

It would be great if BB size lead balls were available to minimize the ricochet problems that steel BBs present.

Great gun to shoot, good blowback, looks awesome, nice weight and balance.

Worked great for 4 months then all of a sudden started dumping the whole CO2 cartridge as soon as inserted. Sights are awful. Pyramyd just told me to call Umarex.

This is a great gun but don't be surprised if it craps out on you. Beware if you bought it in Canada not worth sending it back. You have a paperweight.

Very realistic feel and weight. The blow back makes it seem the real deal.

I would finish it in gun blue and paint the grips brown. I removed the grips which only required the removal of 2 screws and painted them myself to make it look more realistic.

Looks and feel of a real Luger. Highly accurate and rarely jams!The fat trigger assists in minimizing your finger from moving during firing.

Nothing

Always tighten the CO2 cartridge when the magazine is inside the handle. The handle is so narrow that the magazine won't seat correctly if the CO2 is not completely within it and parallel.

The box that it came in. The form fitting Styrofoam is very nice compared to the plastic display cases that you have to cut open. Build quality and material seem very good . The thing is addictive to shoot. On my indoor range seems very accurate. I believe it is more accurate then my non blow back Makarov .

modify the loading port so you could lock the follower in place. The grips seem flimsy compared to the rest of the pistol.

Unless you receive a lemon, be prepared to have a lot of fun shooting this pistol. I have kept away from blow back pistols because of the extra CO2 consumption, but with this thing and the great single action trigger, it is small price to pay. I am getting about 45 shots out of a bottle.

As close as you can get to the 9mm, and $100s of not $1000s cheaper! If I do my part, 5 shots covered by a nickel at 7m(w/ fresh CO2)

Seems like others have had QC issues, but mine functions flawlessly!

I tore it down (watch for the little washer on the right hand side of the action pivot) and lubed it well before 1st shots. be sure to use pellgun oil or similar on tip of CO2 cartridge before insertion. Loved this so much I just ordered a Legends "broomhandle" Mauser!

the gun shoots well and hits the target most of time when you get it tuned in.

Crap pot metal, this will be the 3rd one im getting had to return 2 back to P.A. thank god they are a great company. They send a fed ex man right to the door to pick up the broken gun.

honestly i really do like this gun for how realistic is but like i said this will be the 3rd one i have had to get from here so i will leave it up to you guy. The real down side is were is counts the parts are cheap pot metal

The authenticity and the action. The size and weight seems to be a about correct For other Luger's that I have handled In the past.The accuracy and trigger pull are much better than the sights would have indicated.

Not a thing

If you don't want to spend the money for a real German Luger or one of the 22 caliber replicas this thing is a blast. I bought it for my wife and she really enjoys it and doesn't let me shoot it because she always has it. She will let me shoot it on request, sometimes. John Kennedy

Does look and function like a real luger.

Needs to be more reliable.I had problems with feeding and the triggering mechanisim not actuating the co2 cartridge. Hence it would not fire.

I had problems with the gun I recieved and sent it back and exchanged it for something different. I think Umarex needs to work out some "bugs".

I'm a retired NYS gunsmith with twenty years experience. This is one of fourteen assorted replica firearms I've purchased from Pyramyd Air and like all the others the quality, the price, the realism, and the attention to detail is exceptional.
