WARNING: This is the most pellet-hungry rifle you can buy. I own several springers and gas piston rifles with magazines. This is the one rifle that eats 20 plus pellets a day. I have the .22 caliber version of this rifle. I'm 70 years old. Every morning I practice shooting this rifle. I'll add the .25 caliber to my collection of rifles soon. If you are looking for a fun rifle to shoot, this is the one to buy.
Things I would have changed:Absolutely nothing.
What others should know:This is an accurate firing rifle.

}I liked the air gun it grouped very well at 30 yds. unfortunately the group was way 6" off center target and I ran out of adjustment on both the scope and the rifle sightsI sent it back. Pyramyd was very helpful and sent a return authorization the while I was on the phone with them. They are a great company to work with

The grip is very ergonomic and comfortable. It is a really light weight gun and easy to manage.
Things I would have changed:Way too much plastic!! The barrel is covered in it. The safety is plastic, the sights are plastic, the rail is plastic, and the stock is plastic (Truly less of an issue than everything else). Although it is a fairly light and has an easy cocking process, I question the overall long term quality of the product. I really feel like if I mess up and drop it the wrong way, the sights will snap right off or the plastic cover on the barrel will crack. I wish it was just a metal barrel with metal sights.
What others should know:It is truly a 4+ on the loudness scale. Mine cannot really be used in the back yard without drawing some attention and I live on one full acre. If someone was walking by, they would definitely hear it and look. For 89 dollars (got it on sale), it is worth a buy. Just be careful with it.

the price, the weight, ease of cocking. I bought a Zada at the same time, love it, and everything about it. In a .25. it is astonishingly accurate out to impressive distances, and really has a lot of WHACK! Have knocked two groundhogs in my garden already, and one big rabbit. None even wiggled after being shot.
Things I would have changed:The windage sight simply wouldn't adjust far enough to the right to ever center it. Didn't see any way to fix it, so I put a red dot on it. Shoots very accurate, powerful, trigger is satisfactory, it was more than i expected for the price point, being on sale. Just figured it as a plinker for my grandson to learn with. (I have lots of plinkers in my collection).
What others should know:I had pretty much the same rifle in a nitro piston, and liked it, but the piston crapped out within a year. liked it so much, that was one of the reasons I bought the air tact in a springer. Never have had problems with any springer. I have like 30 air rifles in all grades. Have been air gunning since 1967, and have done Crosman repair for a number of years for pumpers and Co2's. Turning 79 this month, so I don't do much repair work any more. A neighbor bought an airtact, after i got mine, from pyramid.. It had bad trigger issues, and the windage sight also wouldn't adjust correctly, and he returned it and bought something else. At the time I got the airtact, I also got a Zada, and THAT one is perfect in every way. I like everything about it. Actually, i tried to get him to get one instead of the airtact.BTW, The scopes that come with any air gun these days are only good for spotting. You are lucky to get 25 shots til they start spraying pellets all over and won't hold adjustment. TNX

I like the weight, makes it easier to carry. Also not such a beast to cock. Fairly accurate for a spring gun, that's coming from a guy who has hardly any time with them.
Things I would have changed:Trigger needs some work. Way to much creep to the lock. Knock 10 bucks off and keep the scope.
What others should know:Pyramyd air shipped fast and their customer service is top notch IMHO. I'm not that good yet with springers but I still managed frequent 1" group at 20 yards. Saving for a Diana or one of the other German guns.

Things I would have changed:The scope is basically worthless. The crosshairs are not even close to 90 degrees. Just chuck it when it comes. Needs a better rail. The plastic loosens up and will not hold the mounts tight.

I found my rifle to be very accurate, shooting a very tight group at 18 yards once I had the sights set. It's fairly light, easier than expected to cock, and has pretty good power. The scope it came with is good enough for a 25 yard gun.
Things I would have changed:An adjustable cheek riser would help when using a scope, although, for me, the cheek riser is perfect for the iron sights. One thing I'd change on all Hatsan guns is eliminating the pic/ dovetail combo rail. Many picatinny and weaver rings won't seat over the dovetail rail.
What others should know:Yes, there's a lot of plastic, and it only comes with a 4x32 scope. Don't expect a $300 gun for $90. With H&N Barracuda.25 cal, 30.89gr pellets, my 5 shot average velocity was 515 fps, giving 18 fpe. It's a good gun for what it is.

Fantastic rifle for the money. Rails are plastic, but this is easily remedied by installing a nice riser mount. Once sighted in with my Pinty scope, I'm dropping nice quarter sized groups at 30+ yards.
Things I would have changed:Include a metal picatinny rail vs the plastic rail mount. However, I understand that this (easily remedied) setback is a cost cutting measure.
What others should know:The picatinny rail is plastic. Not the best by far. My scope held zero for the first 50+ rounds, the the plastic rail reared it's head. Constant retightening. I added a metal picatinny riser (Monstrum Low Profile Picatinny Riser Mount (0.5" H x 5.7" L), for Scopes and Optics https://a.co/d/6U9w8WH), locked it down hard, and all is well. Nice tight groups with advertised velocity. I own numerous break barrels and for the money, this is an excellent choice. Just be prepared to add a few $$ to overcome it's plastic picatinny rail. Well worth the money after a $9 picatinny riser. A solid 177 shooter. I own a Hatsan .30, Benjamin .22, and a Walther .25. I purchased this rifle to complete my break barrels collection and I am very happy with my purchase!

I liked that it was a Christmas present. It is powerful and reasonably accurate. If you want a functional inexpensive air rifle, this one will work. I did not mount the included scope on the rifle.
Things I would have changed:I would like a lighter trigger. Don’t include the scope and reduce the price, the scope is not very good.
What others should know:I could not zero the open sights using only the adjustable rear sight. With the sight adjusted all the way to the right the rifle shot 2 inches to the left. I was going to return the rifle, but noticed the front sight blade was held in place with a screw. I removed the screw and drifted the blade to the left and replaced the screw. Then I could zero the rifle.
The rifle is powerful, so it also has a stout recoil. Consistent accuracy requires using the artillery hold.
If you want want an elegant break barrel, spend more money. If you want a functional inexpensive air rifle, without a scope, this is a good choice.

I bought this rifle for my younger brother as a gift, When I received it which was quick shipping from them thanks. I decide to break it in so i checked the rifle out for straight barrel, the seals and the sights that makes a bad pellet rifle every thing looked great. Now the pellet shooting this was the break in of the barrel and how straight this shoots. From the very start and the adjusting the iron sights and finding the right pellet right on the target, And keeps getting better. I also like the stock feels great and right holding it. My brother loves it, i also like it. Its a great rifle. I also placed a large red dot which my brother loves right on target also.

Lightweight. Safety auto engages on re-cocking. Accurate within range, lets say, out to 30-35 yards, using lighter weight pellets as the heavier grains seem to make the pellet curve beyond the 35 yds., other wise this is one simple, hard hitting, and I will say so far very reliable. Well built. All pellets smashed through half-inch plywood at 25yds. plus the cardboard and the 8x8 paper. Very nice for an inexpensive springer. I purchased 12 diff brand pellets various weights, set up a target at 15yds, 25yds, 35yds and took aim at 50yds. Whammo!! Slam can be heard from 50yds away. Gotta love that. Zeroed at 50yds, my kin took repeated shots all within the 2inch soup can sized bullseye. I will say, the recoil, kick back whatever, you will know a pellet has launched. I found holding down the rifle just in front of the scope helped to stabilize the shot. All in all, just don't think one can go wrong with this Hatsan, well worth the $$ for what it will provide. Fun!
Things I would have changed:As others have stated, the trigger. It really needs improvement. A smoother trigger would make this a deadly shooter, though as I work more with the gun I can get a 'Feel' of its action. But it still needs attention. All else seems fine. As per the scope, yeah, its nothing to write about but I will say this, it has held up better then some other big-name brands.
What others should know:Other then the trigger, I find it to be a well suitable mid-range heavy hitter.
Full disclosure I did not purchase from P.A., I would have but a local sporting goods outlet had it on sale so I couldn't resist. Was originally after the twenty-two, thought stepping up for a WTHeck fun gun, got all and then some from what was expected. Good job Hatsan.

The ergonomics on the rifle are very pleasant. Decent tension on the cocking aspect. The iron sites are spot on.
