Its a big and beautiful rifle and easy to cock, steady and powerful. Once the sight is adjusted is very accurate.
Things I would have changed:Include a better scope and add a sling
What others should know:Not for kids. If you really like air rifles this is a must have in your collection.

Stock is MUCH nicer than my Benjamin Titan. Fit and finish is great, trigger is very nice for a factory job. (Google the quattro trigger and learn how and what screws to adjust and the trigger will be set for you.) Vortex piston is great, not much recoil to think of. I thought I would hate the slower speed of the .25 but I actually prefer it now after a few hunts. Just think of being hit with a ping pong ball (.177) versus a brick (.25)..... Accuracy is ok, however im still learning the gun, (Im not a pellet gun expert). It prefers a strong hold on the pistol grip, while lightly holding the front of the stock. I have hit small birds at 25 yards, but that is not consistent. I think with more practice it will be more than enough accuracy for small game at reasonable ranges.
Things I would have changed:The two piece mounts that came with it didnt seem very nice. I purchased a one piece scope mount to help lock down the scope. The rifle doesnt have much of a kick, but it is possibly enough to move the scope a bit while shooting. Factory scope isnt great but I would try it first to see if its for you. Maybe add some Loc-Tite to the small allen screw which attaches the muzzle device. It wants to loosen due to recoil.
What others should know:Keep in mind that this air gun (In .25 caliber) is not as powerful as a PCP gun, it just doesnt have the same FPS as those. Most of the .25 ammo out there is designed for PCP guns. So, terminal ballistics on small game will differ a bit. I recently shot a squirrel at around 15 yards, the pellet entered its neck and went diagonally through the chest... and did not exit (Using Crow Magnum Hollow Points). It literally knocked it out of the tree and was dead before it hit the ground. Kinda like a .45 acp, big and slow. Do buy several different pellet weights and brands, mine prefers the crow magnums but I did try H&N 19 grain, H&N Super heavy (31 grain), and JSB Diablo 25 grain. Only the Super Heavies did not perform well, the H&N 19 grain and the JSB's did ok. All in all, this is a great pellet gun and the .25 caliber is a serious pellet for hunting. I highly recommend it if you want a .25 caliber but dont want to break the bank.

Overall look, fit and finish. Real Walnut stock. Very Accurate and very affordable.
Things I would have changed:Not much, possibly a better scope but then the price would go up.

Cant beat fit and finish. Very nice looking gun . Walnut stock is beautiful , very nice trigger and adjustable pull. Just got it and fired about 50 rounds through it , lots of power coming out of the vortex piston!! Seems pretty accurate right out of the box, but will know better once I put on the hawke scope I bought with the gun!! So far very happy with my purchase .
Things I would have changed:Gun is a little heavy to carry all day in the field! A sling would be nice. But not so bad., can live with that..
What others should know:For the price it seems like a good deal so far, will have to figure out the best pellet for this gun. Have a good back stop for this gun , like I said it's has good power!!

A good looking rifle that is powerful and accurate. Really liked the placement of the safety. Hard cocking but that is what that gives the rifle such good power.
Things I would have changed:Drop the scope, which is totally useless. This is why I gave just 4 stars for accuracy a new scope made it a real tack driver.
What others should know:Buy a good scope from the start do not even take the time to mount the included scope!

The vortex is a whole new shooting experience. No spring rattle, and you don't have to use the military hold. Using a bipod at 15 yards, i have been shooting (20 rounds at a time) at a 1" dot, I have been able to put 3-5 shots thru the same hole, and consistently keep all 20 shot inside the dots black edge. Using Crosman super match (7.9g), or Crosman wadcutters (7.4g) my Hatsan 95 vortex .177 cal is the most accurate Air Rifle I could ever ask for. Using either of those pellets it becomes a tackdriver.
Things I would have changed:It needs to be lighter. Hatsan's bundled scope is unusable.
What others should know:First shoot about 50 rounds thru it, Then zero your scope, and enjoy a great shooting experience.

I Like the Vortex Gas Spring very smooth and quiet no sound of a metal spring rattling. The Quattro Trigger is super nice and the stock is absolutely beautiful.Accurate right out of the box.
Things I would have changed:A better scope and a metal trigger guard.
What others should know:This is a adult air rifle not for children.

Beautiful stock, very powerful, nice adjustable trigger, low recoil, very accurate, smooth cycle, easy cocking... etc. Mine is .22 cal. I can get dime size hole with ten shots from about 10 yards. I did not try to go any further than 10 yards yet. I'm using Crosman Premier Ultra Magnum pellets.
Things I would have changed:Better scope, but the scope that comes with this rifle is not too bad.
What others should know:1. You really need to clean the barrel.
2. Artillery hold is very important with this rifle.

Solid, heavy.....feels like my 06.
Things I would have changed:Trigger allen screws immovable. So tight I dare not force incase of breakage. Stock by front of receiver has a touched up flaw. Not bad enough to return it. A little disappointed overall. But I guess its just an airgun.

It's consistency from shot to shot.
Things I would have changed:I'd make it easier to cock for smaller shooters.
What others should know:It's heavier than most, and the scope that comes with it is nothing to write home about. Once I put a SWAT scope on mine, I could hit quarter-sized targets at 50yds consistently.

Gun is accurate out of the box and the adjustable trigger works well. The scope is not the very best but it isn't bad and the wood stock is high quality and nicely finished. I like the safety arrangement that automatically goes on safe when the gun is cocked and the gas piston is so much better than the spring piston guns. Little or no recoil and the silencer seems to work pretty good. The gun is deadly and it is helping to get my pest problem under control. All in all a pretty good buy.
Things I would have changed:The gun is a little heavy and there is no provision for a sling. Lighten the gun and provide sling mounts would be the two things I recommend.
What others should know:The instruction manual is pretty sparse it just barely gives you enough information on just the basic operation of the gun. Nothing on how to clean or maintain the gun how to oil or lubricate it this is a big disappointment when you have not had a lot of experience with air guns.

Just received the Hatsan 95 .22 cal today. This will be my second Hatsan air rifle (have the 125 cameo in .25 cal and love it). Out of the box I immediately went out and shot bottles with Polymag Predators and Premiere Hollow Points off the on board iron sights. Gun is perfect size and weight. Ripped up three large heavy plastic liquid filled bottles lined up. Pellets went through all three at thirty yards and didn't stop there. Cocking is not hard and gun is amazingly quiet. I mounted a Hawke panorama ev tonight, looking forward to zeroing this baby and taking it with me camping this weekend.
Things I would have changed:Don't know yet. Stay tuned.
What others should know:For me Hatsan is relatively undiscovered gold. Incredible quality for amazingly inexpensive price point. As I've mentioned in other reviews, I love accurate power that doesn't need to be recharged by ungainly equipment. Especially because I like to hike deep into woods or other terrain where pumps and scuba tanks are not practical. This gun was under $200 which is crazy. I will report progress as I explore the 95. But check out the Hatsan line-up before prices catch up to quality. Might be the most power in a nitro piston whatever the price. More to follow...

I LOVE this air rifle. I was considering the 125 Sniper in .25 caliber but glad I bought the 95 Vortex first. This rifle is accurate out of the box with the sights. Will shoot a couple hundred rounds through it before scoping it. I plan to put a 4 x 16 x 40 AO in place of the included scope. Will update from there. Beautiful gun! Bluing exceptional for an air rifle. Smooth shots and cocking.
Things I would have changed:I can't find a thing I'd change other than maybe a set of sling mounts added to it for carrying afield. Offer this rifle without the scope and mounts as an option.
What others should know:Definitely not a kids gun, this IS a powerful weapon. Not for male or female without some upper body strength. Cocking is very smooth and positive but, takes about 35 lbs of presser to cock. Trigger is smoother than some of my regular rifles. Ordered this from Pyramid Air about 10 p.m. Wednesday night and got it Saturday around noontime. NO complaints on rifle or PA. Will order again soon. Probably a Hatsan 95 Vortex in .25! Defiantly a Hatsan and defiantly from Pyramid Air!

I bought the Hatsan 95 vortex .22 and man this is a nice air rifle. I was impressed that it was blowing clean threw my half inch plywood backstop with authority at 45 yards. But what really impressed the heck out of me was when I taped a penny to the plywood and with a Gamo magnum pointed head 15.43 gr pellet at 20 yards it blew clean threw the penny and continued on threw the 1/2 inch plywood, you gotta be kidding me,this is an airgun! The scope is not the best but I have had no problems with it except that I needed to buy new scope rings. I bought a set of expensive Millett rings and no problems. I'm waiting on my JSB pellets to arrive, but found the Crosman HP to be very accurate. This airgun gives an old guy like me a way to have fun before hunting season starts and long after it ends.. A few years ago they gave me 30 days to live with cancer and five years later I'm living life and having a blast with this new Hatsan 95 Vortex .22. WOOHOO I'm a kid again bring on the Rabbits.
Things I would have changed:Not a thing other than the scope rings, the scope is fine and if it dies i will replace it with an up grade. the trigger is perfect..
What others should know:This gun is heavy and if you decide to go with it make sure you buy it from PyramidAir. This gun is way more gun than what you will be paying for, a great deal 5 stars all the way.

Same great Model 95, except with Vortex Gas Spring. Lighter, smoother cocking, less recoil movement vs. Springer version. Gas Ram is adjustable. More power = > cocking effort.
Things I would have changed:Drop the scope, improve open sights (they are too bulky). Be able to purchase metal trigger guard and metal muzzle brakes.
What others should know:I love the Hatsan 95 in either Springer or Gas Ram. Great value > Great looking gun.
Sometimes these things need to be tweaked, it pays to have some mechanical ability. Parts are hard to come by as Hatsan has only been shipping them to the USA for about 1.5 years.

Upon opening the box and getting a first look, my first thought was...quality! And power, it was all there. Also, I liked its simplicity of operation with the auto safety, which my Gamo does not have. I should also mention accuracy; out of the box the open sights were dead on at 60 yards.
Things I would have changed:The front trigger guard screw hole had been stripped out at the factory and then shipped. This is unsettling and causes me to wonder what else I might find wrong, yet, not a big enough issue to downgrade the 3 categories rating of 5 stars. A picatinny scope rail would be better than the current setup. Hatsan should create the industry option of the customer being able to buy a rifle without a mediocre scope; although this scope does excel over Gamo's scopes, but then most anything else would. I was surprised at the clarity and the long eye relief, which I would guestimate at least 5 inches. Sadly, no AO.
What others should know:This is really a sharp looking air rifle; detailing is nice. Pellets fit snugly in place. Cocking system is very tight, without any slack, and about a 35 pound pull. Bluing is first rate as is the walnut wood grain. Before Locktiteing the screws I fired 3 rounds towards the pond and discovered that it is a flat shooter with Crosman 7.9 hp out to at least 60 yards. It seems to shoot harder than my Gamo Big Cat Nitro Piston. Except for the stripped out screw hole I am more than pleased about my purchase. Otherwise, it has the look and feel of good build quality and durabilty and worthy of passing on to one of my sons. I did the 10 for 10 and Pyramid Air recorded a high of 977+ fps and a low of 952+ using Beeman Lazer 7.1 grain. As you can tell this is simply a quick, out of the box, first 15 minutes, opinion. I hope to update this review from time to time with specifics.

The power, I was very satisfied with the power of this gun.
Things I would have changed:quality control, weight and length, mine weighed 8.2 pounds!
What others should know:After about 70 shots one of the 3 pins that hold the barrel in place right behind the rear scope mount worked it's way loose also the iron sights would not adjust down far enough for my liking. The gun was heavier and longer than I expected. I sent it back with no problems. Really good customer service.

I liked being the first person in the states to get to order this baby in the .22 cal. Been waiting impatiently for it to come on the market because I heard some rumors it was coming out and I snagged one day of the release. So far so good, think its a huge upgrade from all the Crosman pellet rifles I have owned. Hits hard as hell cant wait to put my Hammers scope on it and take some long shots.
Things I would have changed:The trigger is wobbly and loose and vibrates pretty hard after a shot. Also the NP Crosman line is a bit more fun to shoot than Vortex.
What others should know:Buy it but the trigger was a bit of a fail. makes noise when you run with the rifle which is a huge problem if your trying to do some varmint hunting.

I have purchased 7 Hatsan 95's in all the calibers. For myself and friends. This is the first Vortex. I was wondering what could make the 95 better. The Vortex gas spring! The Walnut stock is beautiful. The metal work is the best yet. The Vortex is soooooo smooth!
Things I would have changed:I would still like a metal trigger guard. I would also like to see a metal muzzle break / cocking handle with a removable sight.
What others should know:I just received this today and it chronographs at 820 with a Crosman Premier HP 14.3 grain .22 caliber. I will scope it tomorrow with a BKL offset mount and a 4x Hawke scope. I will post the results.

Great accuracy in .25. The knockdown power is great too. Goes right through metal my .177 Nitro Venom won't even dent. Beautiful stock, also. Nice open sights.
Things I would have changed:I would modify the safety. When you push the safety off to fire, it makes an audible click. I would also make the trigger guard metal.
What others should know:In illinois, the .25 caliber is the only version they can ship to you. I recommend replacing the included rings with a set of utg medium quick detach rings. The included scope is decent. It holds a zero well. Order it before the price goes up. Great gun in .25.
