    Things I liked:

Nice looking rifle right out of the box with a medium length and weight. The rifle is not too hard to cock, shoulders pretty well and shoots surprisingly hard with good accuracy. The low price is obviously what makes this rifle so attractive. But buyer beware.

    Things I would have changed:

The two most disappointing things on this rifle are the trigger and the scope. Of course the scope can easily be changed to a Bushnell or Hawk, but the trigger is entirely a different problem. Needless to say after my experience I am not a fan of the Quattro trigger. A trigger upgrade would be a big improvement in my opinion.

    What others should know:

The trigger was very disappointing for me. The side to side movement was ridiculous and the trigger on mine totally failed after only 4 shots, so I had to send the rifle back to Pyramyd. I have to say that Pyramyd was very understanding about it. I would highly recommend the 10 for $10 when purchasing this rifle and ask the tech department to pay particular attention to the trigger mechanism.

    Things I liked:

The stock has a very nice grain and looks high end. The steel barrel and other components appear to be of very good quality. I love the trigger. The scope was difficult to get zero'd in. I took the scope off to make sure it was not the barrel. The gun was extremely accurate. I mounted the scope again and had the same problem. It was shooting 15" to the right. After adjusting about 60 clicks it finally came to a perfect alignment and now love it. It is very accurate and consistent more so than my Crosman Nitro Venom which I also love. The Hatsun is more acccurate. I use the Crosman .22 domed pellets.

    Things I would have changed:

It was very difficult to break the barrel at first. After several rounds it lightened up. However it still takes a lot more effort to cock the rifle compared to my other two air rifles which are a Gamo Whisper Fusion Pro and Crosman Nitro Venom Air Rifle. Both of these are much easier to break the barrel.

    What others should know:

For the price this gun is about the best deal out there. Price verses quality. I love this gun.

    Things I liked:

I love this .22 rifle. So far, blows right through 1/2 plywood and dead accurate at about 25 yards. I'm used to the single/multi pump .177's of the past. This is light years beyond that. The walnut stock looks great, everything about it feels quality. I like the location of the safety and that it automatically engages when you break the barrel. The scope that comes with it is sufficient, no issues. Easy to dial in and accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

Hard to cock the piston. I suppose more leverage would help. My wife is petite and would never be able to do it. It's easier if you're standing up. I've only put about 50 rounds through it so far, I hear it gets easier the more you do it.

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

Frankly, there isn't much if anything, to dislike about this .22 pel rifle whatsoever. It has actual steel rear sights (big plus) that are micro adjustable, beautiful wood stock, and the steel and bluing on this rifle is top shelf. cocking effort is medium, but very smooth. It really is quiet too. Much more quiet than my Beeman Rs2 springer .22, and by orders of magnitude more quite than my sons crosman vantage. The trigger is quite good from the manufacture, but now after many 100s of shots, i will start playing with it a bit to get it just right for me. The included scope if fine, certainly nothing to write home about, but quite adequate for most field engagements.

    Things I would have changed:

Only thing I could possibly think of would be to include sling mounts. The rifle can be just a tad weighty after a few hours out in the field. And perhaps a fully shrouded front sight, but that would take away from a feature I like about this combo. (The scope mounts higher than im used too, but it allows you the ability to look beneath the scope and use the open sights for closer targets. I like that a lot) So that is a trade off, I could go either way with front sight shroud or not.

    What others should know:

Right out of the box, this rifle is accurate. Within 20-30 shots it was deadly accurate out to 30+ yrds with the open sights. after a few hundred shots I put the included scope on. Its nothing special, but effective enough to sight in and consistently hit baby jars out to ranges of 50 yrds or so. what I found out on accident and really like, is that that scope mounts high enough, that you can actually look below it and effectively use the open sights. Which I found incredibly useful when i had the scope dialed in for distance, and a critter showed up much closer in. It hits like a freight train. I dont own a chrono, but I have to believe it is achieving right at the 800 fps its rated for with 14.66 gr pellets. I have another .22 that I cannot say the same about, after seeing what this rifle does to various material targets. Only had in field once, but starlings, pigeons, couple rats, and couple squirrels were all easily dispatched humanly. great rifle, and pyrimyd air rocks as alway

    Things I liked:

right out of the box all i can say is "wow" it was grouping dimes @ 15 yards right out of the box. i took a snap shot off-hand at a starling, probably 25 meters or so away while sighing in, and dropped it dead... perhaps a lucky shot, but even if, this gun has power to spare. i basically dislocated that blackbirds rightwing, to its left and it dropped like sack of potatoes.. its nice that blackbirds aere all around, but i cannot wait to take out some larger vermin this fall.

    Things I would have changed:

for this price, the hitting power, and flat accuracy, there is not much to dislike

    What others should know:

I have a beeman Rs2 dual cal that i like alot, but i have now bequeathed it to my son permanently. nice as that rifle is, its not even in the same category, as this hatsan 95 vortex. varmints on this property are now, more than ever on notice.

    Things I liked:

Power, accuracy and power. I was really impressed that around 40 yds it put a 14.66 grain domed pellet through a 1/2" piece on pine wood. I was shooting an apple at 40 yds with H&N Baracuda Hunter, 18.21 Hollowpoints & first 4 shots didn't even move it, thought I was missing. The 5th one blew off the side so went and looked. Had 5 holes, first 4 went right through. Took me around 200 shots to tame or learn it, now I use shooting sticks and it's right on 95% of the time. The other 5% is me just missing.

    Things I would have changed:

Maybe make the tolerances a little tighter but then it would just cost more so that might not be needed. Have an option to pick your own scope.

    What others should know:

Get a .22 powder gun bullet trap because this air gun has power. Mine likes H&N pellets the best. It doesn't seem to shoot JSB or RWS pellets to well. Seems to do best with pellets under 21ish grains. Now I go with H&N Excite Hammer, 14.66 Domed & H&N Excite Coppa-Spitzkugel, 16.05, Pointed. Copper coated pellets tend to hit harder.

    Things I liked:

Built like a tank. Hatsan does honest chrono testing with LEAD pellets! Very accurate after break in period. Very hard hitting. Thankful that it has iron sights (so many manufacturers forget to include those for some reason). Stock is beautifully made with great checkering. QUALITY QUALITY QUALITY

    Things I would have changed:

My ONE and ONLY complaint is the screw inside the trigger assembly which holds the stock to the gas chamber has a tendency to work itself loose every once in awhile. (I do not understand why Hatsan has not addressed the issue yet) I added loctite to the threads but it only slows the process of the screw coming loose. Its not such a terrible issue, when i see my groups are spreading and the gas piston begins to wiggle away from the stock, it just needs to be tightened again. It is a hassle more so than anything.

    What others should know:

I waited 2 years reading reviews on airguns before i settled on the Hatsan 95 Vortex. No one else sells air rifles with honest lead pellet chrono numbers. This rifle is dead accurate and i have shot a quarter with the iron sights at 25 yards. even at 35 yards, i really see no pellet drop. If it misses, its because i shot off the mark. This rifle shoots best holding it like you would any firearm, tight into the shoulder (the silly artillery hold really hasnt done me any good with this gun). Cocking is not so bad after the break in period which was probably less than 250 shots if i remember correctly. If after a tin of pellets you think the cocking effort is difficult, you need to spend some time in the gym. The scope works well but i am looking forward to upgrading. The craftsmanship was obvious as soon as i opened the box and the quality has spoken for itself as this beast of a gun never lets me down.

Everything! Great rifle for the money! Quality build. Very accurate with the right pellet. Mine happens to love the rws wadcutters, and with an rws one piece mount and a 4-16x40 mill dot...I'm hitting a softball at 75 yrds! ...all day. That's a great group for me! ...I love this gun.

    Things I would have changed:

Adding sling mounts would have been great! ...If that's even a complaint.

    What others should know:

Break it in, find the right pellet...and I'm sure you will love this gun too!

Wow! ..where do I begin. First off...Pyramid Air is now my go to site! After weeks of research, I ordered this bad boy on Tues. They told me it shipped Wed. It was at my door Thurs morning ( I'm not even sure how they pulled that off, lol ) Bravo! ..Pyramid Air! As far as the gun itself, I'm extremely impressed! I did not use the stock scope so I have no opinion on that. I used my 4-16x40 AOIR and a RWS lockdown 1 piece mount. After sighting in...With this set up I am hitting a one inch spin target ( from a rest ) at 45 yrds, consistently! That's crazy for a gun not even broke in and basically right out of the box ( less than 50 shots ). I thought my nitro titan in 22 ( with trigger mod ) shot well...this thing is twice the shooter!..and I expect it to only improve! My wife was willing to bet the fiber optic sights were battery operated and on, lol. They are very clear and bright. The trigger is awesome and the gun feels great!

    Things I would have changed:

Maybe add sling mounts? ...and from a sales point of view, I would include a nice $100.00 scope but charge double for the gun, lol. It would still be a great deal!!

I really like the un itself. I have yet to adjust the trigger, mainly because I don't know how. but the way it is right now Overall I am pleased as punch. Wish I had gotten a piece of wood like everyone else is crowing about. A few strichs, but no figure, but that is the luck of the draw I guess.

    Things I would have changed:

Nice piece of wood, but see abpove comment. Still pleased as punch with the gun and especially with the price. My first gun larger than .177 and I am happy.

    What others should know:

I can not believe how accurate it is RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX. I have done no real test, but all the cans are jumping and I did hang a load of medicine on my new target setup and I am hitting them quite well off hand. WHAT I AM REALLY ANGRY ABOUT is myself. I was awaken a shirt by a noise in the kitchen. It was a possum and he or she was on my counter licking a frying pan. It was also in front of my window A/C so I could not use the 10-22. I grabbed my little 1077 .177 crosman and it went Poot poot. It was out of gas. I SHOULD HAVE GRABBED the .25. If I had that possum would have been dead. The gun IS GREAT. Get one if yoiu are a newbie to larger calibers. You will have a ball. It was a little hard to co0ck the first dozen rounds, but now iy is no problem. I am now sitting up over a can of cat food trying to bait it back up for a rematch. This time with the 95/.25. Come on possum, "Make my Day"

    Things I liked:

I like this gun. I chose it 1) to try out a gas-spring without too much $, and 2) wanted the open-sight option. I am pleased with both and with the power of this gun, very good value for the money. The action is crisp in cocking and firing, has a sturdy feel. The sights were decently dialed in out of the box, and the trigger is better than most in this price range.

    Things I would have changed:

I've put a couple thousand pellets through it now - the screws holding the stock have loosened a couple of times and required re-tightening. It's medium-loud for the 'burbs, I wish it had a larger suppressor but it's not a huge deal.

    What others should know:

If you've only shot springers before (like me) you're in for a treat with the gas-spring recoil on this gun. Some commenters mention the high cocking force - it's true. It gets better after breaking in (maybe 4-500 shots or so) but it takes some effort. I'm a pretty big dude but it's a good workout for me to put an afternoon's worth of pellets through it.

    Things I liked:

I purchased the .22 gas ram rifle and like it very much. The stock is nice looking. It has been accurate right out of the box but I did pay the $10.00 for the 10 for 10 so they could check out the trigger, gas piston and make sure it will shoot properly. They indicated that on the 10 shots it was shooting between 804.42 to 957.44 using the RWS Hobby .22 cal, 11.9 Grains pellets. I was surprised how hard hitting it was.

    Things I would have changed:

    So far nothing.

    What others should know:

I have taken it right out of the box and have only shot about 50 pellets thru it and the sights has been dead on. I have not had time to set up the scope yet. People has indicated the rifle was heavy but it is not that heavy. I was told that if I wanted quality and accuracy this was the best gun to buy. I have not disappointed so far. I have not had to adjust the trigger yet, it feels like I am shooting my 22 rifle.

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

The Q-trigger (best I've ever squeezed on a pellet gun), the fiber-optic sights (a bit high out of the box, but I'll neither want nor need to install that scope), ease-of-cocking (stiffer at first, but smoother now), the evident quality & precision of the mechanism, and frankly, that it wasn't made in China. Not that there's anything wrong with that. See Ruger Yukon. I've been a .22 multi-pump advocate all along, but had been researching .22 alternatives FOR YEARS. Now I'm in love again...with this Hatsan 95!

    Things I would have changed:

I didn't care for all the ad/printing on TOP of the barrel. I prefer real wood stocks over black plastic "tactical" ones, but I don't think this "shoe polish brown" Turkish walnut is particularly attractive. It's not as gracefully shaped as I might prefer, and I'd just as soon do without the checkering all together. The rifle was heavier than I imagined (and that's without the scope), and longer. Then again I'm a small man, so YMMV. This Hatsan would benefit from sling swivel clips...yes, I know I can install those myself--and will--but it would be such a small, but much appreciated courtesy for Hatsan to throw in. I'd opt for a shorter shoulder stock and longer rubber pad. I'd offer the gun for sale WITHOUT the scope as an option.

    What others should know:

I'd put this in the same league as a .22 rimfire. It is not too loud for backyard plinking, but depending on the pellet used, going supersonic is a possibility. I have not tried any hi-velocity (read lo-weight) alloy pellets yet. The Hatsan 95 is also in the same league insofar as recoil goes.

Solid built gun. Love the open sights. Built like a TANK! Great customer sales rep!!!

    What others should know:

You will need to put some medium Lock tight on some of the screws and mounts if you added a scope. A few on the rifle and scope came loose after shooting a couple hundred rounds. This gun also takes a while to break in for accurate shooting. Very powerful rifle, so it can be tiresome after cocking it allot.

Nice looking air rifle, very powerful. The walnut stock very well finished.Cocked hard at first, but is smoothing out after a hundred rounds or so.I am amazed at the penetration of .25 caliper pellets and how accurate this rifle is.I was hitting an 8 inch steel gong at a 125 yards with most shots. My shooting buddy could not believe an air rifle could hit anything at that range. My .177 and .22 air rifles are not even in the same class as a .25 caliper.I did change out the scope to a leapers 3X9 and a solid one piece mount for it.Would highly recommend this rifle anybody who wants a powerful, accurate air rifle. Also the trigger pull on this gun is great, nice and smooth and helps a lot for accuracy. All and all a great rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

A little on the heavy side, but I guess it is that way because of it's design.

    What others should know:

At this time it seems to like most pellet weights.I like the H&N Field target trophy 19.91 grain,my rifle seems to like them, and shoots them very fast and they are accurate.I also like the vortex gas spring, shoots with almost no recoil.

    Things I liked:

Very powerful, the pellets completely get flattened and torn apart in my pellet trap. Great over all quality/fit and finish. Really happy with the walnut stock. Great accuracy, it was almost dead on with the iron sights out of box. very good accuracy with the scope.

    Things I would have changed:

The scope provided could be a lot better. the 3-9 magnification is great however without an adjustable parralax you can have some issues closer up. Aslo my scope was broken out of box, the reticle was broken. I contacted Pyramid air who referred me to Hatsan. Hatsan told me where to fill out the warranty form online. I got a response back from Hatsan the same day i filled out the form, and they had a replacement scope in the mail the first thing nest morning.

The wood stock is beautiful with nice wavy wood grain. The metal parts have a nice black coloration. The trigger is gold plated and very light and predictable. Appears to be quite accurate so far.

    Things I would have changed:

Use the same raised cheek piece stock as the Hatsan Striker 1000X that sells for less money. Sell the rifle without a scope, so I could buy a better scope without paying for a scope I do not like.

    What others should know:

The "10 for 10" test I purchased with this rifle produced an average of 632 FPS. However, on my tests with the exact same lead pellet, the best 10 shot string I got was an average of 599 FPS. All of the other 10 shot strings averaged less than 599 FPS. Even with the lower FPS, this rifle hits hard with the JSB 25.39 grain pellets.

I spent quite a while watching/reading reviews on Youtube before deciding on the Hatsan 95 Vortex and I'm not one bit disappointed in the choice!! Very well made, minimal recoil with the Vortex gas piston, very nice solid feel with the wood stock, minimal effort to cock the barrel and more accurate than I thought it would be right out of the box and it only got better after I tweaked the iron sights a bit. I'd highly recommend the Hatsan 95 Vortex combo to anyone looking for a solid air rifle in the $200.00 price range!!

    Things I would have changed:

Only 1...the scope is a decent starter and not bad once sighted but consider like I did upgrading to a better one at some point.

    What others should know:

The scope wasn't bad but after reading quite a few reviews in quite a few places, I upgraded to a Hawke Sport 3-9x40 HD AO scope with the Hawke 1 piece match mount rings. Got it sighted but haven't had a chance to put a lot of rounds in the target yet but so far, money VERY well spent on the upgrade!!
