    Things I liked:

Light weight for offhand shooting.Decent trigger.Good stock feel.

    Things I would have changed:

Barrel lockup poor which produced vertical string grouping when using scope. IMO gun not usable with scope mounted on receiver as variable barrel droop not correctable. This gun will be used with open sights provided as sights are mounted on barrel and move with droop. Read BB Pelletier's review, Part 3.

    What others should know:

Recoil destroyed supplied scope mounts. Likes 14.3 grain pellets like Crosman Premier or JSB Diablo Exact Jumbo Express.

    Things I liked:

Trying this again, 1st review got submitted without me clicking the submit button. This is a well made gun and I like the synthetic stock because it is durable. It was highly accurate right out of the box and little adjustment was needed on the sights. Using the fiber optic sights I sighted the gun in at 33 feet and was producing groups that would fit inside the diameter of a quarter. At 25 yards I was able to consistently hit a tin can using all types of pellets; the exception being heavy pellets; it did not like them. I believe this gun is designed for PBA ammo. The gun cocks smoothly and easily. I'm 63 years old and spent several hours at the range testing pellets. I was tired at the end, but it was good exercise. The gun is also very quiet. My Crosman 760 Pumpmaster makes more noise. The gas piston technology is a big plus on this gun.

    Things I would have changed:

Sell the gun without the scope and let the buyer decide what type of optics he/she want to use. I personally don't use scopes preferring fiber optic and dot sights.

    What others should know:

I would have rated this gun a solid 5 but didn't because it didn't achieve the stated 975 fps velocity using PBA ammo. Also, I expected higher velocities for the lead pellets. Even though I didn't see the velocities I expected this gun still has enough power for its stated purpose of small game hunting/pest control. I would rate this gun as a good buy and would recommend it for someone looking for a good hunting/pest control air rifle. Below is a summary of my test and the energies and velocities I observed: Gamo Raptor PBA Gold, 9.9 gr, 18.6 fpe @ 918.8 fps Gamo Rocket, 14.3 gr, 16.7 fpe @ 724.7 fps Gamo TS22 Long Distance, 22 gr, 16.2fpe @ 575.5 fps Gamo Diablo Match, 15.43 gr, 16.1 fpe @ 684.8 fps Beeman Silver Sting, 15.74 gr, 16.1 fpe @ 678.6 fps Crosman Premier Domed, 14.3 gr, 16.0 fpe @ 709.6 fps Crosman Premier Pointed, 14.3 gr, 15.7 fpe @ 704.2 fps RWS Hobby, 11.9 gr, 15.7 fpe @ 771.5 fps Beeman Kodiak Extra Heavy, 21.14 gr, 15.5 fpe @ 575.4 fps Predator Polymag, 16 gr, 14.2 fpe @ 631.5 fps

    Things I liked:

Nice and light. Gas piston is the only way to go for me. Cock it sit and wait hours for your shot. Can't do that with a springer.

    Things I would have changed:

That STUPID silencer. I learned that heavy pellets can TUMBLE as they leave the barrel. A 28.5 grain Eunjin blew the plastic guts right out the end. I like it better now it's louder.

    What others should know:

Front six (6) inches of gun are plastic.

    Things I liked:

It is as quiet as anticipated

    Things I would have changed:

All the weight in this gun is in the buttstock. So if you prefer a heavier gun like I do, this is not it. The front end is light just like a 5 pound gun.

    What others should know:

I added the BKL one piece mount and a UTG 4-16x40 AO Rifle Scope. Poor grouping even at 20 yards. My Stoeger X5 can group a dime size hole. Pellets fall about an inch at 30 yards and close to 6 inches at 40 yards. I bought this mainly for the gas piston, but my springer is way better.

Pretty easy cocking, hard hitting, nice quick break -in period. Quiet and that made it perfect for my close neighborhood..

    Things I would have changed:

The scope mount gave me a little trouble at first.. But the folks at PA worked with me.

    Things I liked:

It shoots nice straight from the box. Good trigger, No spring so I can leave it cocked. Has plenty of punch for possums and combined with the accuracy a real confidence builder.

    Things I would have changed:

The scope spun the reticle straight away. I changed it for a cheap and chearfull niko sterling with mil dot and all the goodies which works super well. Could be a little more comfortable where you put your trigger hand through the stock.

    What others should know:

I have not owned an airgun for some time and man they have come a long way! At 30mters I put a pellet in a carboard box then just fire 5 more at the hole to practice! Never very far away and I am still fooling with pellet types and getting back into shooting well!

    Things I liked:

Weight, Sound, Material its made out of. Good Cocking Weight. Good Trigger. Decent hunting gun. Had it only a month and bagged a dozen doves and a squirrel.

    Things I would have changed:

Open the thumb port. Hole is tough on the thumb when doing a lot of shooting. Also, I would add a better scope of your choice.

    What others should know:

Great power. Extra Quiet. Recommend the .22 caliber. Good gun for hunting birds since you alway have to point up. Not accurate with PBAs. You must sight the gun to shoot either lead or PBAs. I recommend Crosman Premiers .22 Hollowpoint.

    Things I liked:

Shoots straight out of the box but looses accuracy after about 100 shots.

    Things I would have changed:

Get a better scope for this gun, mine broke after 20 shots. Also properly secure the sound suppressor.

    What others should know:

The sound suppressor and retaining cap will fly out of this gun in about 80 shots if you don't super glue in it place. If you are looking for a good 22 air rifle, look further I would not recommend this one to anybody since scope and gun parts shouldn't break and fly off the gun when using it.

    Things I liked:

Nice and light. I liked the stock. The iron sights are good. Nice that it has the hood on the front sight.

    Things I would have changed:

The scope is a big disappointment. It should be at least AO and somewhat better quality. I immediately changed it for a scope which cost less and performs much better. The silencer makes the rifle strange looking. I should have done without it.

    What others should know:

The trigger is better that my stock Gamo Hunter but still not as good as the after market replacemnt I installed on my Gamo Hunter. It seems to be selective about what peletts it shoots well. The only pellets I have been getting consistent groups with is Gamo Match. I get much better groups with a broader range of pellets with my Gamo Hunter and RWS air rifles. Overall, it is OK but not as good as I expected. I thought that the new trigger and IGT would be an improvment worth the price; I was wrong. I would not buy another one.

    Things I liked:

Its accurate and powerful I lined up 3 hard plastic bottles up and went threw all three in one shot i had them lined up with the cap pointing away from me. the pellet kept going after going threw and launched the 3rd one about 3 ft. I have not been able to use the scope. And also it has a kick back about equivalent to a powder 22

    Things I would have changed:

the top scope mount it is removable but the third screw striped because of how soft the metal is and how tight they have it. and with that mount the scope goes back after every shot.

    What others should know:

other than that not to try too hard to get the screw out to not strip it not really, but the plastic does do this weird thing where its almost like it barely peals off i'm trying to figure out if its getting dirt off my hands or if that will go away eventually. ill update if i every figure it out. overall I really like the gun.and a friend that fires allot of powder guns said its a little hard to keep straight I did not notice it though.

Buy this rifle! I can't imagine a better gun for the price. Quiet, super accurate, nice trigger and plenty of knock down power in .22 cal. Gamo's scope isn't bad either. A little Blue loctite and she was off to the races. An absolute Tack Driver! I love this thing and the good folks at Pyramid. Great package price and great customer service. Thanks Pyramid!

    Things I liked:

Accuracy: one hole at 50yds, power: awesome for a .177.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger: if the 4G can get it right, why can't Gamo? , stock: synthetic is good but, would prefer traditional configuration (e.g.: no thumbhole).

    What others should know:

Best accuracy using heavier pellets. Get a scope that can unleash the potential (including AO). Use artillery hold and just rest the thumb against the back of the thumbhole grip and kinda 'pinch' the trigger back slowly while barely touching any other part of the stock. It'll jump like crazy but the pellets will always go through the same hole at any reasonable distance (although the hole is a little bigger out at 50yrds). Check all fastenings all the time as things come loose from recoil. My front sight fell off and I didn't notice until I got home. Can't find a parts lising on Gamo site. I've emailed them and we'll see what they can tell me about getting a replacement.

    Things I liked:

Surprisingly accurate. Six shots to sight in the fiber optics. Using iron sights for on the go tree rats. Six shots after that, six dead tree rats. Checked the barrel for play because of some reviews I have read about them being loose side to side. Gamo must have fixed this problem because mine is rock solid. I have checked the mounting bolts and will do so on a regular basis. Only have shot it 12 times so everything is cool.

    Things I would have changed:

The stock takes a little getting used to. Would have preferred the regular stock. But for $229 versus the regular stocked Whisper at $299 I can't and won't complain.

    What others should know:

Gaa piston is the only way to go. The trigger is much improved from past versions but may still replace with a GRT-4.

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

I bought this gun for my cousin, and it's got all the top features from Gamo like the built-in noise dampening and IGT gas ram to power the piston. This gun is quiet, much more than my Crosman Nitro Venom. The stock trigger is decent, and with practice, 70 yard shots isn't a problem for quarter sized targets.

    Things I would have changed:

This gun has some issues with it, and even though it's quiet and very accurate, I wouldn't recommend it for the price. After a few months of use, the scope mount and base became to fall apart. Then the barrel pivot screw that mounts the barrel to the gun body became to have side to side play. This should not happen in a gun of this price range. Pyramyd also did a review on this gun, and stated the same problems, so this is a factory defect.

    What others should know:

This gun prefers to shoot 8.44 grain JSB Exact pellets. Very accurate with this pellet and at under 2 cents a shot, it won't break the bank either. If you do get this gun, you'll eventually need to replace the scope mount base to a weaver style base and this gun deserves a scope in the 4-16x40+ AO range. The stock scope that it comes with is very clear, and paralax is set to a good distance, but at 50+ yards, things start to get fuzzy, and paralax error starts to set in. I have the 4-16x44 Leapers SWAT mounted on it, and it's a good balance.
