I now have shot 200 .35 JSB pellets through my rifle and the barrel is breaking in nicely with 1" 7 shot groups at 50yds. Stock is very light and ergonomic making the rifle very easy to point and shoot. The machining quality is MUCH better than my first Evanix rifle (AR6 unshrouded) I like the new rotating fill port cover compared to the old screw off cover. I get 7 shots starting at 818fps peaks at 832fps and then back down to 815fps and am averaging 117fpe.
Things I would have changed:Trigger is heavy from the factory but can be adjusted, I currently have mine set to approx 1.5lbs which is good for hunting. Stock needs a bit more wood at the end of the forearm for mounting a sling stud for a bipod or Evanix or some after market company needs to produce a bipod air reservoir clamp similar to the one FX makes for several of their rifles.
What others should know:The barrels on these rifle need to be cleaned before you start testing for accuracy, mine was filthy but cleaned up nicely. Next you need to shoot it to break in the barrel before you start seeing just how accurate this rifle can be. Out of the box the rifle will shoot 1.5" groups at 50 yds but by the time I had put 100 shots down the barrel I was getting 1" 7 shoot groups at 50yds and even a couple 3/4" groups. This rifle does not get 14 shots as advertised within a acceptable spread, after the 7th shot the fps drops drastically and by the 14th shot down to mid 600s. So my final word on the Rainstorm II .357 if your looking for a hard hitting multi shot rifle that will give you 7 solid accurate shots without breaking the bank and looks, carries and feels like some of the more expensive big bore rifles on the market I say this rifle is one you need to get.

Accurate, powerful, lightweight, dependable, shoulders & points better than any PCP I have tried. Under 1" 5 shots at 50yrds with Crosman Premieres and one ragged hole with JSB's. 35 to 50ftlbs, AWESOME
Things I would have changed:I don't like probes, so a foster fill. Maybe detune a bit if 50ftlbs is too much for you. I like the power, but I like a big shot count & bell curve. You can EASILY put a lighter spring in and do so.
What others should know:The gun is now my favorite rifle in .22 I have a fully tuned Rapid in .25 and I like the Rainstorm II WAY more. Shorter, lighter, a lot less money, just as accurate with the right pellets. If for any reason you are unhappy with it, Will Piatt of Saddle Mountain Gunsmith is an expert on these and turns them into a great rifle. Don't get me wrong, it's great to begin with but he adds a foster fill, improves the shroud, works the trigger, sets it for a bell curve and more shots at 35ftlbs as opposed to the 50ftlbs and steady drop in velocity it does from factory. Very affordable accurate gun. I have to say the best bang for your buck period..

Lite, compact(carbine) & accuract for a hunting rifle. I have the .25cal power house version set for hunting at 56fpe lots of knock down power with the H/N 31g baracudas, avarage of 900fps. excelent wood stock and finish, butter smooth side cock action. This is the better buy over the over rated euro guns, though they are nice just to pricey for the avarage person. This is the alternitive my opinion, you don't need pin point paper target accuracy for hunting. Having said that, this rifles accuracy at 20 yards=(one raget hole), 35 yards= (1/4"), 50 yards is down to (5/8")witch is pretty good considering i have only put 130 rounds in it so far and the groups are just getting smaller as it breaks in. Most shoting was done siting resting rifle on palm on a padded camara tripod. Groupings were 5 shot groups, and yes, i'm not the greatest shot to boot lol. Very nice rifle, you cant go wrong.
Things I would have changed:crosman quick fill conect, probes are just one more item to loose. Better baffles to tame this beast though i hear it is not backyard friendly, if noise is not a problem dont worry. Mine went straight to a tuner.
What others should know:rifle is very lite so feness is the key, no need to man handle it like heavy rifles. I wanted my .25cal to be back yard friendly so it was sent directly from PA to Will Piatt, (Saddle mountain gunsmith) to be tune to my liking. Triger job, crossman style quick conect, custom machien depinger, 3" longer custom carbon fiber shroud with custom baffles, rear vent holes. This power house is the same or slightly more qiet than the .22cal marauder i also have which is also set "hot" at 33fpe. My goal was to make it more backyard friendly not to inprove accuracy as the gun is already accurate though Will P will do his magic if it is a little off his standards as he is a world class shooter who knows his way around korean air rifles

Great design, balance and finish. The gun is quite light and as advertised, its weight with a scope is equivalent to others without, which is a big plus. The new magazine works great. It's easy to load with help of pen or similar. It accepts large pellets easily. You can also load single shots for even larger ones. The power out of the box is quite high and more than enough for the heaviest .22 pellets out there. Accuracy is acceptable for this kind of power. All holes within 1" at 25M with random ammo over 21gr.
Things I would have changed:Add a power adjuster. So much power is only useful for hunting while when target training you're wasting lots of air. And the gun is LOUD. After improving the shroud with a different and more common design, the conclusion is that the shroud is poorly built.
What others should know:If you're after a a pure neighbor friendly target puncher look for something with less power and better sound dampening. Also, it's relatively easy to mod / tune this gun yourself with help from internet, including reducing the power. At full throttle, there's lots of pumping and little shooting, so consider a scuba tank or similar. It took me about 3 rounds to order one.

Light, short, nice quality, powerful in .22 cal, tuneable, comes with 2 magazines
Things I would have changed:Detuned from factory a little for better shot count, quieter
What others should know:This rifle is powerful out of the box. Mine was putting out 50fpe with JSB monster 25 grain pellets. Downside is you get about 2 magazines max before having to refill. It is not backyard friendly, sounds like s .22LR firing. I am sending mine out to be retuned and have a cusrom exteneded shroud installed to quiet it down.

Things I would have changed:its a little louder than mrod but that can be fixed by NC gunsmith saddle mountain great work now its better than perfect
What others should know:let me tell you i gave it to will piatt couldnt be happier i also put centerpoint 3-12power by 44 tactical sidewinder with a off set bkl mount so it mounts behind the loading area a little pricey but perfect with no regrets it definetly shoulders to perfection

I get an average of 45FPE for the first 10 shots. It has become my go-to rifle for hunting. Workmanship is equal to EU guns and it is very well build. The accuracy may not be as good as an Air Arm 410, but close. I found the gun not to be as loud as people have been saying. It is less loud than my Prairie Falcon. There is a big difference when hunting with 45 FPE compared to 30 FPE. The gun shoot very flat with Kodiak pellets. Mine is in 22. This is the best PCP gun for the money out there. Gun looks great and the wood is first class and this is comparing it to AA's and Falcon rifles I also own.
Things I would have changed:Safety is a little hard to activate due to the wood inletting. I cannot seem to get the trigger adjusted as light as I would like, but it is good. I would not change anything else.
What others should know:You only really get about 20 shots of real high power per charge. Considering the power and size of the gun it does not bother me, but may limit some people. This is not a target gun where you would shoot alot of shots with few fill ups.

Super powerful, and accurate as well with the heaviest pellets. Fit and finish is excellent for this price range, and everything works smoothly. Very easy to work on and maintain. A powerhouse bargain!
Things I would have changed:Provide more clearance between shroud and barrel band. Improve the baffle system.
What others should know:This gun is POWERFUL for a .177! 28 FPE is rather easy! The stock is fragile in the grip area.

Thiis is my second review about this rifle... Finally the rifle and myself understand each other... To IMPROVE ACCURACY what I did was to remove the elements whithin the silencer and make bigger holes and reduce change in preassures on pellet travel through the silencer. The difference in accuracy is amazing!!!!! Now I have EXTREME ACCURACY with this rifle. This rifle is now PERFECT: quiet, powerfull, not heavy, accurate.... Now I do love it: This rifle is what I expected from a PCP..... Groups with JSBs and Kodiaks extra heavy are perfect with my rifle.
Things I would have changed:From factory these holes on silencer should be wide enough to avoid inaccuracy.
What others should know:Buy this rifle and a super powerfull one (AR6 or a Sumatra) and you will be ready for any kind of hunting with airguns.

Powerfull, not noisy, light, comfortable to shoot with.
Things I would have changed:Mine is accurate but nothing to do vs. Marauder. I'm still wishing the rifle to get to some sort of stabilization to improve accuracy. I do not know if this will ever happen.
What others should know:Mine consumes a lot of air by shot: If I make 20 shoots I will have to pump +- 100 times after getting to actual preassure. Much more than the Renegade, but is more powerfull than the Renegade.

I just received my Rainstorm Cal. 5.5. What I like, power, accuracy, silent, weight and comfortable lenght.
Things I would have changed:Pumping with the probe in the Rainstorm and in the S10, is not easy. You have to get to know hot to do it. It is much more dificult pumping the Rainstormand S10 than pumping the Evanix Renegade. These Evanix rifles should include the same pumping connection than the Marauder and the Discovery (male quick disconnect). This would make more happy cutomers.
What others should know:If the Renegade were more silent, Renegade would be the best rifle around. For us who noice matters, the Rainstorm is an excelent option. If noise is not your problem, then buy the Renegade ( it´s cheaper, more solid, the triger is defined, has a lot of power and is ACURATE). If you would like a silent rifle, Rainstorm is a great option. Rainstorm is almost as silent as Marauder but has much more power. I have not make enough accuracy test yet with Rainstorm, but apparently Marauder is more accurate than Rainstorm. Renegade is as accurate as Marauder but much more powerfull. As soon as I obtain convincing results about accuracy of Rainstorm, I will include the results in another review.

Light weigth, really nicely shaped grip (very comfortable) and stock, power (lots), accuracy, multy shot., action, soooo quite.
Things I would have changed:Shot 500 round, so far, and can't think of anything, wonderfull little rifle
What others should know:Mine shoots the 18gr JSB real well, 30 yards with quite a bit of wind and the holes are touching, the action will smoothen out real quick and became flawless, be carefull it will be real hard to put this rifle down :)

I had a .35 caliber version and with limited use, here is my first impression. This gun is compact, lightweight, and ergonomically fit. Although I received mine with a broken stock, I managed to put about 30+ shots through. With these shots, I was able to get groups smaller than one inch at 30 yards using JSB. I have to return the gun so I did not shoot further. I believe that once break in, this gun has the potential to be quite accurate at 50+ yards. This gun is powerful. The first 7 shots of each fill went through a 2X4 easily.
Things I would have changed:Add baffles to the shroud to make it quieter. This gun is too loud!!! What a waste to be shrouded without baffles. Since the primary purpose of this gun is for hunting, make available a swing swivel set. Use better wood so that stock won't have so much issues with cracking.
What others should know:I received mind with the stock not only cracked (a common complaints from buyers) but broken. After I placed my order, I send PA an email asking for a thorough inspection for defection, particularly cracked stock before shipping but still got mine broken. While you can return it, it is down right frustrating-especially when you drop a grand for it...
