it is rather heavy with a scope, more for sniper tactics than for free standing shooting. After about 500 rounds the trigger adjustment screw had backed out to the point the gun would not cock, I intend to apply some non setting gasket adhesive to the thread to prevent it from happening again. Difficult to get repaired, you need to do it yourself

Be prepared to do maintenance, after about 500 rounds, I had to tighten many of the screws, I don't know how often I will have to do this in the future, I would suggest that you should retighten all the screws except the trigger adjustment upon receipt, just be careful not to over tighten the metric allen screws, just remove the stock and make sure every thing is snug, DIY quality control. BE AWARE, PYRAMYD AIR/Air Venturi will not service this product and the manufacurer customer service is poor it's going to be up to you to keep it working.

Easier access to hammer spring adjustment. An extra magazine would be nice.

This rifle is amazingly accurate with almost any pellet. One hole groups with the ones it likes. The trigger is so nice and smooth. Very quiet for the power it produces. Came with a full charge. My example has been perfect out of the box. It punches way above it's price range.

Exceptional build quality for the money. The only reason it beats out my Marauder is that it's regulated. For 1/2 the price. Overall EXTREMELY NICE WAY BETTER THAN EXPECTED!!!!!!...

Should get TWO MAGAZINES.

I bought two rifles, Airacuda Max and this rifle, the Airacuda Max is a nicer looking rifle, but the Dar 22 will outshoot the Airacuda Max. I can put 5 shots from the Dar into a ragged hole from 20 yards using Crossman 14.3 gr hollow points. From the same distance the best I can do with the Airacuda is 2.5 inch groups, I tried other pellets, but the performance is disappointing. Buy the Dar 22 and be happy, well worth the $300

So far, so good. I purchased the DAR Gen 3 on a Thursday around noon and it was on my back porch by 3:00pm Friday. Super fast shipping and packed well. Upon unboxing and reviewing the manual, I cleaned the barrel, mounted a 3-12x50 AO scope as loae as I could get it and pumped the gun up using a 3 stage hand pump. It took approximately 225 pumps to fill to 3k psi from completely empty. Talk about a work out! The bbl was pretty clean out of the box as well. I already had a fair selection of pellets for my break barrel guns so after sighting in, I loaded up and started running 5 shot groups at 25 yards. Crossman Premiers shot, JSB Hades, H&N 15.89 domed and Predator Polymags all shot inside of 3/8". Gamo Redfires we're all over the place. I shot 4 10 round mags and the reg went from 3k psi to just over 1k psi with no noticeable change in poi. The trigger was/is a little creepy and it was a bit crunchy before I hit it with the air compressor and a drop of zero friction lube.

Trigger adjustment screw appears to be red loctited in and will need to be CAREFULLY heated up to be able to adjust the sear.

The rifle is QUIET for a budget PCP and velocity seems consistent with little vertical change in poi for approximately 40 shots per fill. A Chrono will verify that this week. Fit and finish is fantastic for a gum in this price point as well. Receiver and scope mount.is all metal and the cocking lever is actually butter smooth out of the box. Next real test will be with some 20-23 grain slugs and the hammer spring adjustment.

The build fit finish function and accuracy is terrific for the price!

The final few millimeters of the cocking action is gritty. This is caused by the trigger reset surface was not finished cleanly also the trigger sear should be improved at the same time. This would greatly improve the already terrific trigger group overall design and function.
