    Things I liked:

The solid feel and high quality German workmanship. The shorter length. Good mount and nice AO zoom scope. I paid up for this gun to get the better scope. Glad I did. The 4 power would not have made me happy. Good trigger pull. General feeling of quality in the piece. Rock solid. Check out my customer photos for a clearer view of the guns' features.

    Things I would have changed:

As another reviewer stated .. the checkering is too sharp edged. It needs to be softened. It can and will cut your skin. That's my only criticism. If the gun could be lightened without sacrificing quality and accuracy that would be great. It is pretty heavy for smaller individuals. (Hold an 8 lb. gallon of milk out in front of you for a few minutes to see what I mean.)

    What others should know:

This is an excellent, no apologies, starter gun. I've read many reviews on the internet and this Model 34 is always highly regarded. My gun sighted in initially within about 25 shots at 14 yards, grouping nicely with RWS Superdomes. The Superdomes (8.3 gr.) penetrated a 1 inch thick soft cover book to a depth of about 3/8 inch. Long distance shooting tests will have to wait for better weather. Seems plenty powerful for my varmint killing and tin can plinking needs. Ten minutes after I finished the initial sighting in, I knocked a big fat squirrel off my bird feeder from about 30 feet. Superdome, 1 shot. This gun is pretty stiff to cock. Not for a small kid or petite ladies. The shorter barrel, though nicer to handle (in my view), gives you less leverage when cocking. The muzzle weight provides a nice grip which helps. Overall this seems to be a very nice gun. This my first "quality" air gun and I'm quite confident that I made the right choice. I plan to stick with 8 to 10 grain pellets. My basic "go to" pellet will be the 8.80 gr. round nose H&N. I want all the accuracy that this gun promises. All but the most picky shooters will probably really like this model. Love it for what it is, not what it could be. I'm looking forward to many years of enjoyment while learning to shoot it well.

    smooth trigger,solid feel.dead on accurate,powerful

    Things I would have changed:

    nothing

    What others should know:

Like most other reveiwers said it is heavy. I might have been lucky but I mounted my scope and shot it at a twenty yard target 50 shots and didnt have to touch the scope it was dead on accurate at 20 yards shooting RWS 8.3 super domes. This is my first springer and am very happy with my purchase. And there is four less rabbits in my yard after just a week of purchase.

    Things I liked:

It took me a few of yearsof cheap air guns but I finally gave in and bought a RWS for the first time, now i wish I would have bought one years ago. This is the rifle to have, 1/2 inch groups at 40 yards with Crosman Premier HP and with RWS Superdome. The gun is not to loud, and the weight is good with me. I have only put a 100 shots through it so break in is still a ways off .

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing, I got what I paid for and and more.

    What others should know:

Get some lock tight for the end cap and the screws under the muzzle

    Things I liked:

German quality.Rifle has a solid feel even when cocking.Great trigger, right out of the box.

    Things I would have changed:

Checkering is a little sharpe-is this splitting hairs or what !

    What others should know:

Wish I had bought this rifle before I got my Beeman or Gamo. This thing blows them both out of the water! After it arrived I mounted the scope mount with Loctite Blue and let it sit overnight.Today I mounted the scope and sighted it in.From 10 yards measured, using a bench rest with RWS Superdomes it took 9 rounds to zero in.And then !!!!!!! using a different aiming spot on the target the next 5 rounds went into one hole the size of a pencil eraser! And this was with only 9 prior shots thru the gun, what's it going to do when it gets broken in ?Now I know why people brag on their German made RWS's.As I said before, wish I had bought the RWS first, then there wouldn't be a Gamo or Beeman gathering dust in my bedroom corner. If you are undecided at all trust me you will not regret owning this rifle.

    Things I liked:

Superb RWS (German) quality. Fit and finish is excellent, tight tolerances are impressive and exacting. 99.5% metal on this rifle. All weather high quality synthetic stock has a very nice feel. Muzzle break feels so nice when cocking, and shorter barrel makes handling easier, and seems to help accuracy (pellet exits barrel before recoil affects it). Excellent trigger. Didnt try this scope, but it seems very nice. Lockdown mount from RWS is included-has 4 screws and never budged (also 2 stop pins that fit the rifle perfectly.) Scope rail is also great. Loudness is medium at first, but really settles down to a quiet discharge after about a tin of pellets. A little proper lubrication also helps. Functions smoothly with not too much recoil-and dead accurate out of the box!

    Things I would have changed:

The rifle is quite heavy due to muzzle break and scope, but this is also a sign of the high quality and surely helps accuracy. Feels close to ten pounds when you have it all together. Advertised weight must be without scope & muzzle break-which is heavy and metal. Im a pretty skinny vegan tho, so might be fine for some. For me it was best kneeling or with a rest, but after using it awhile it made me stronger and got easier (I did exercises with this thing to get up to the task .) Had holes for rear sight, but no place for front sight, should you want to add one later (this deserves a good scope though anyway.) I would like to have had the option-though buying sights separately were pretty expensive from RWS/Umarex USA. Also, butt pad is hard/thin plastic. I also wish this were available in .22 cal. Spring was dry and a little crunchy initially (typical RWS) but it was sipmple to apply a little lube ( I used a little moly and lithium grease mix) to spring without disassembly. I also applied a few drops of pure silicone oil through transfer port into compression chamber-no problem. [get the RWS maintenence kit-highly recommended for superior tools and lubes.]

    What others should know:

I wish Umarex/RWS would offer a medium power springer (600-800fps) which was lighter (under 7 lbs), with a good or adjustable (pull weight) trigger. This would make it bearable with a scope on it, shooting freehand. Currently they have the schutze (youth model), but I hear the power is in the low to mid 500's and the trigger is a bit heavy (5-6lbs direct trigger). Still I may have to try this schutze. RWS should also offer a model with a suppressor, like the Gamo whisper. RWS has the best warranty of all airguns-Lifetime Limited Warranty-and there is a reason: they make superbly engineered products that will last generations if properly cared for. It occurs to me that the muzzle break on this model could easily be modified to be an airgun-appropriate-only noise suppressor by someone who knows what they are doing. Sounds like a fun project. And, of course, Pyramyd Air has fast and excellent customer service and policies.

    Things I liked:

Precisely built.Tight and accurate-no barrel droop. Also no plastic barrel shrouds or other such nonsense.Deadly accurate, and has all the power one would need for taking small game, eliminating pests or just fun shooting even past 50 yards. The black synthetic stock on the panther series is good looking, solid and tough.

    Things I would have changed:

The package is a little heavy-a lighter barrel weight/cocking handle would help this.

    What others should know:

After disassembly, lube and break-in period this gun is something that will serve for decades without concern. For those familiar with piston airgun service, this is one of the easiest guns to work on that I know of.Absolutely untouchable for a gun that costs less than $300 U.S.

    Things I liked:

Fit and finish of the rifle are outstanding. Scope is very accurate and responsive to small adjustments. Accuracy of this rifle is very good; much better than my RWS Model 34 Diana.

    Things I would have changed:

Weight. I thought that with the synthetic stock the rifle would be lighter than it actually is. With scope, it weighs in at 10 pounds.

    What others should know:

Good value for the money and lots of backyard shooting fun.

    Things I liked:

Das air rifle !!! Weight and the infinite adjusting of the trigger and trigger feel and the shorter barell look with the muzzle break. The way it performs for the prices is comparable to my TX200 MK3. Same hole shots infact 9 out of 10 at ten meters is a testament for an awesome rifle like this is one. Shooting on a standing stance is more cntrolable than my other high price rifles. The craftmanship of this rifle is worth more than what they charge for the it. Get one and compare it to any Gamo rifle and you be the judge. Challenge any springer after break in and you will understand why this is such a nicer option.

    Things I would have changed:

Need a rubber butt pad and a better scope mount. The quality /finish on the scope base is not up to par on this gun at all.

    What others should know:

Looks like an assualt rifle with picatinny rail and all black is a plus. Get a better scope with 4-16X40 or 50 or 56 AO with either 1 inch tube or the better yet 30mm with the lowest possible Weaver style mounting and match it with the UTG picatinny rail droop compensator (get the one for the 48 with less compensation 17" at 20 yards, that works better coz the 34 one is too much due to the shorter barrel). Break in on the gun is at 1000 shot at least and from there everything smooths out. Trigger is so adjustable it gets dangerously light so be carefull. The plastic trigger is no big deal as it feels like the metal as it releases so dont even worry about that. Replace it to metal if you like. This rifle fires so predictable that you will not need to tune it, tune it if you have extra $$$ but about 1000 shots later and it all settles nice and gets more accurate. Hold sensitive you might ask? Find the way you want to hold it and zero it from there and it will hold same hole shots. The weight of the nose is not as bad as the regular RWS34. This is more balanced than the others. Pellets I shoot Crossman premiers in a brown box light and heavy it likes them both. The cocking is heavy at first but settles to a much lighter after break in. I will do a blog on this gun for sure.

    Things I liked:

Everything about this rifle is wonderful. It says professional on the barrel and that is exactly what is looks and performs like, professional equipment. I up graded from a Beeman RS3 to this, made in Germany quality RWS product, due to a conversation with a representative at Pyramyd Air. When I heard lifetime warranty and that Pyramyd Air has the fewest complaints/problems with RWS products in comparison to all other rifles Pyramyd Air sells, I was convinced that RWS was the way to go. Some of the best advise I have ever been given and taken. It has been many years since I've been able to get this much for my dollar. Thanks Pyramyd Air!

    Things I would have changed:

Upgraded/Higher powered scope as a package option.

    What others should know:

Sound dampener screws and screw end cap loosen after a few shots. Nothing seal tight won't fix I am sure. Takes a few rounds to break in. I went through about 1000 pellets till I was able to be pretty consistent with 1/2" CTC groupings with Beeman Match pellets. I have not had the need to use the Leapers Scope Mount Base I purchased along with the rifle. No droop problems shooting at up to 30 yards.

    Things I liked:

As expected RWS German quality throughout - I just received my model 1.5 weeks ago. It only took about 25 minutes and 30-40 pellets to have this rifle sited for 100% accuracy. You do not have to worry about scope drop on this model, its good to go. Lastly you really have to break this rifle in, the first couple of sessions you feel as if you might damage the rifle while cocking it.

    Things I would have changed:

The only thing I did not like is the black plastic piece that is at the breach end of the barrel. I noticed it does wiggle loose due to the recoil.

    What others should know:

Great rifle - RWS quality as usual

    Things I liked:

Fit and Finish, Quality of Stock and Scope and steel mechanism. Rifle can be cocked in a vehicle due to compact carbine length, when hunting by vehicle. Great rifle-woth the price!

    Things I would have changed:

At this price point, would prefer metal trigger and simpler, more sturdy scope mount. Recommend milspec railing by Leapers. Front Barrel weight allen screws kept loosening, throwing off accuracy. Had to locktite them with scope screws, but scope itself is great!

    What others should know:

This weapons is so awesome, when we use it in Iraq for bird control, other Soldiers here thought it was a sniper rifle. Get one now, but get the leapers milspec one piece mount.
