Things I liked:

This pistol is POWERFUL! Serious power for what it is. Accurate, too. I put a holographic/panoramic sight on this weapon and the accuracy is above par compared with other BB pistols I've bought.

Things I would have changed:

Longer barrel would be nice. A smaller version for younger shooters would also be nice, as this was a little too big for my daughter to hold comfortably.

What others should know:

This BB pistol is nearly perfect and is a great value for the money.

    Things I liked:

Great practice pistol. Real fun shooter.

    Things I would have changed:

Would be nice if comoensator could come off and a sturdier magazine. First one spring broke out. Bought spares though. All in all not much else to need changing.

    What others should know:

Nice heft and able to customize. I put a scope and a foregrip on mine. Kind of like John Dillinger. Real fun to shoot .

    Things I liked:

Shoots the advertised 520fps. Very accurate for a BB pistol. 3/4" groups at 6 yards with Daisy zinc-coated BBs or Hornady Black Diamonds. 1/2" groups at 6 yards with Daisy precision ground shot, shooting free-hand, unsupported. Fixed sights shoot to POA. The long barrel (about 6.25") keeps it somewhat backyard friendly. Trigger pull is long, but very smooth. 60 full-power shots per CO2. Very well-made and fun to shoot.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing.

    What others should know:

Buy some spare mags with it.

Good weight to it. Not bad for power. Comfortable grip.

    Things I would have changed:

Make it a blow back and change the magazine. The bb's fall out way to easy

    Things I liked:

The 5170 is affordable,,,The velocity is good, but accuracy is not up to standard past the 10 yard line.

    Things I would have changed:

The magazine, it's disappointing cheap plastic. The one that came with the gun would not hold BBs, the pressure clip at the top of the magazine was bad, good thing I ordered two extra magazines.A better metal magazine would be a huge improvement. Also, Windage adjustable white dot sights would be a HUGE improvement.

    What others should know:

I put this 5170 up against my PowerLine 415 at 20 yards on a small steel soup can.

The 415 way out performs the 5170 in accuracy. Adjusting the point of aim to plink a can to 20 yards and beyond.
Both with steel BBs, Gamo clear oil, and quality Umarex CO2 cartridges.,,, The 415 is near pellet like performance. The 5170,,, not so much.

The only real advantage to the 5170 is the drop out magazine, but the magazine is of inferior quality compared to Crosman or Umarex magazines.

The 5170 is still a pretty good BB CO2 pistol over all, and affordable.Makes a nice Christmas gift,,,,, But don't expect it to live up to its' red dot sight mount... BB pistols need open sights to actually see the BB path and adjust for the next shot as the CO2 runs out.

    Things I liked:

    Power, accuracy, CO2 life

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger pull force. I am hoping it loosens up some. Also, it would be nice if you could pull to the first stop and still point the gun down w/o the bb rolling out! Find a way to keep bb's from forcing their way between the spring coils when using a speed loader.

    What others should know:

For those that feel the gun is light; Put a dot scope and a laser and it feels great. I intend to do a little bullfrog "night work" around the lake this summer so I also added a decent flashlight. Do not

    Things I liked:

Other than being light weight, I love everything about this pistol. I put a red dot sight and once sighted in, the piston is a tack driver at 30 feet. I shoot freehand standing and this thing is accurate - bang on everytime. I love the high fps as well as the high shot count per CO2 cartridge,

    Things I would have changed:

The weight and shorter trigger pull.

    What others should know:

Buy it and add a red dot sight.

    Things I would have changed:

    Add some kind of sight

    What others should know:

No sight at all just point and shoot why no sight has rails so something you would have to get extra.

    What others should know:

Has removeable and replaceable mags for quick follow up shots
The extra rails allow you to add lasers and red dots and flashlights; as you wish.
    Highly Recommended!

    Things I liked:

This is my first CO2 pistol. Excellent CO2 air pistol with its hard hitting power and accuracy. I am impressed with Daisy. I like the 21 round clip. The safety is good also as it disengages the trigger completely. Really liked the accessory rails for mounting laser and other a items I may add later. As advertised I get a least 90 rounds before the power really starts to drop off.

    Things I would have changed:

Make the clip a little easier to load. Make the rear sight little more narrow to line the front sight more accurately.

    What others should know:

This is an excellent pistol in my opinion and would by another in a heart beat. Pricing is very reasonable through PyramydAir.

    What others should know:

Well priced, very powerful steel BB pistol with removable rails allowing you at add lasers and flashlights and red dots; as you wish.
Accuracy is good as the high fps allows the steel BBs to reach the target faster.
Tons of fun and highly recommended!

    Things I liked:

Surprisingly just as promised on fps and more accurate than I would have expected . I was afraid the trigger pull might be disappointing based on some reviews. I found the trigger pull was not bad at all considering It can only be shot in double action mode.

    Things I would have changed:

Adjustable rear sight would have left me absolutely nothing else to want !

    What others should know:

I really liked the fact it was smaller than I thought it looked in advertisement photos. But not small on fps . And not to small for my big ole hand either Cronyed at 533 fps on a 85-90 degrees Florida day. Only one or two shots cronyed below 517. I was almost astonished there was no exaggeration on velocity from Daisy. Hate to sound like a Geek , But it was a lot of fun to shoot being only a BB gun. Holds CO2 gas with no leaks and very, very little gas loss or hissing when new CO2 cartridge is put in. This thing seems like it has good quality to me especially for the money. I've usually got a lot of gripes when I get a new air gun. Not this Time !

    Things I liked:

Awesomely powerful for a CO2 pistol. Power translates to consistency and accuracy, but it's still just a 5 inch barrel so don't expect rifle accuracy. Very comfortable grip, clever way of hiding CO2 retention screw in the mag. Speaking of which, the mag is amazing. On my XBG and others that use stick mags the mag loses BBs when dropped. This one doesn't and is much easier to use.

    Things I would have changed:

Open rear sight is a bit wide. I would also prefer an ambi safety or at least reversible, this one's set up for leftys. Don't have any use for the quad rails, but they're easily removable.

    What others should know:

This is a steal, and would be even if it wasn't a kit. I love it, and will be keeping it for a long time.

Wow, everything. It's light, looks great, handles easily, everything is smooth, simple cartridge load, tac rails, accurate...

    Things I would have changed:

Not a thing. Nice BB gun.

    What others should know:

I put a $40 red dot on mine. Cost of the gun! But it looks great on there and shoots great. It's a very strong BB gun, hits pretty hard for a pistol. I don't kill things anymore, but this would knock down a starling with no trouble if you were inclined. Great value as well. With 10% off, you are under $40.

This gun hits hard. Ran it over my chrony in basement at 625fps! with fresh Co2. Going to take chrony outside today & re-check this reading. I did remove rail and sawed off both side mounts to clean up appearance. It still leaves the bottom mount ahead of trigger guard for soon to be laser. Bought as re-man and pyaramid air supplied a graet gun....thanks

Likes. . .size, weight, feel in hand, POWER, easy load, rails( if you're into that), above average accuracy, no blowback, 21 shot magazine.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing at this price. . .

    What others should know:

Probably one of the most POWERFUL BB pistols on the market especially in this price range. Fairly accurate per co2 getting off 60-80 decent shots per cartridge. (will shot more at reduced velocity). Price/value story is good & worth a try. I use Daisy Zinc BB's.

    Things I liked:

Power, accuracy, shots per co2, feel in hand, ease of operation. .ie clip fill, clip loading, trigger pull, fixed sights, accessory rails. Shoots very well right out of the box.

    Things I would have changed:

Make co2 loading easier with less twist effort with a more exact indication as to when properly loaded. Have had on occasion recheck co2 positioning for tightness in order to sart shooting. Seems like co2 is not fully punctured and additional tightning is needed. Hard to tell if OVER TIGHTNING is happening.

    What others should know:

This is imo one of the very best bb pistols I have shot ouf of several. For the price, it surpasses many more expensive offerings. I prefer .177 pellet pistols but this one is as close to a pellet from my experience. This is without any hesitation a buy if shopping for a decent bb pistol hands down. 5 stars. . . . Good purchase from PA. . .Excellent experience. .
