    Things I would have changed:

the velocity if it was higher the price could be too which is good for the company

    Things I liked:

I was pleasently surprised by this rifle. I was in need of something to fill my backyard sniping niche. And this little rifle gets it done in a BIG way. It quietly has dispensed of 20+ starlings in just 2 short weeks. I would consider taking this out into the field next fall for some squirrel hunting.

    What others should know:

This rifle does need to be broken in before it reaches it potential. You will have to try different pellets and let the rifle tell you what it likes. You will need to find out what the "Artillery hold" is.

    Things I liked:

this air rifle rocks i took 4 cotton tail rabbits with single shots to the head at about 30 yrds accuracy is just phenomenal i took another rabbit lung shot at 50 yrds and it punched clean through. this is a fine pellet gun

    Things I would have changed:

trigger pull is a little to much and would b hard for younger people to pull. i would think trigger break should b at about 2 lbs

    What others should know:

for the price this is the best

    Things I liked:

The walnut stock is beautiful and ergonomic. The gun fits like a glove; it is very comfortable and it is a dream to shoot with open sights. The butt-pad is soft and grippy. It's not too loud. This gun shoots and feels like a gun that would cost two to three times more.

    Things I would have changed:

I would definitely change the flimsy plastic sights. In achieving the low price of this gun, this is the corner that Crosman cut. This is the only negative.

    What others should know:

The sights are functional and you can shoot accurately with them. However, the rear sight is prone to creep and requires periodic re-zeroing. If anything brushes against or bumps either sight, be prepared to re-zero. Clean the barrel out and tighten all exterior screws as soon as you get this rifle. Be sure to use a Hoppes bore-snake cleaning kit and not a cleaning rod. Cleaning rods can damage the crown of the barrel and greatly diminish the rifle's accuracy. Also, it may be prudent to put blue lock-tite on the hardware. Otherwise it is a good idea to tighten the exterior screws about every 200 shots. I fired 500 shots of 10.5 gr. Crosman Premiere Super Magnums in the first week of owning this gun. It seemed to be broken in within the first 100 shots. Shooting from a standing off-hand position, I was able to get golf-ball-sized groups at 20 yards with the open sights. Don't expect to get great accuracy when scoping a break-barrel rifle of any make or model. Due to the mechanical configuration of these rifles, there will be appreciable misalignment between barrel and spring cylinder (where scope is mounted) from shot-to-shot. Open sights are more fun to shoot anyway so man up and do it like your forefathers did it. Scopes are for sissies.*grin* I'm joking, of course. But seriously, give the open sights a chance. Being able to shoot open sights well is very rewarding. This is a great rifle. Buy it and enjoy it.

    Things I liked:

Pyramyd Air's Customer Service is Excellent! But this is supposed to be about the gun so... The gun is well made. Fit and finish are good. Operation is very good.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger break point is very hard to detect. I have not yet played with the trigger adjustment, but I suspect this issue is with the sear and not the trigger travel. This issue makes it even more important to ensure you are sighted on your target before you apply ANY pressure to the trigger. (Basic gun safety anyway...)

    What others should know:

The recoil on this gun makes it necessary to have a scope stop on any scope mount used with it. Since I did not have the scope stop mounts I could not get the scope zeroed in. (Mounts with a scope stop are on the way.) Once I took off the scope I was able to zero in the stock sites very quickly. The fiber optics green front and red back are nice. I have to say the gun is as accurate as I am at this point. Being new to pellet guns and shooting Olympic 10M rifles targets at about 33 yards (prone or kneeling) I am hitting the black portion of the target more often than not. Can't wait to the scope on it and see how I can do. Also I have only shot Crossman Wadcutters and think the results are good in this gun. https://www.pyramydair.com/product/crosman-competition-177-cal-7-4-grains-wadcutter-1250ct?p=557

It shoots well. I bought a remanufactured one and have been pleasantly surprised by how well it is built, how good it shoots and has better than average accuracy.

    What others should know:

I feel like I got my moneys worth perhaps even a little better than that.

super fast service, adjustable trigger pull great, zero it in after only 8 shots, holds a 3cm.grouping. no joke..at 35 yrds. i use gamo max ammo.i recomend It for this air rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

A little on the heavy side but It helps with the support.

    What others should know:

Always use the ammo suggested buy the manufacture, and I will be using Pyrmyd for all my spring air needs you guys are great..

it is very light and really powerful and almost no recoil for the power it puts out .its also crazy accurate even with out a scope

    Things I would have changed:

    make cocking a little easier

    What others should know:

its a great deal and it takes any type of pellet

    Things I liked:

Long range accuracy (a 2inch group at 75yards), wood quality (you can really see the quality after sanding), sights (they are good for hunting if you stretch the spring under the knob), power plant ( no buzz, no vibration, smooth, has lasted me 3500 shots). The stock is comfortable.

    Things I would have changed:

The short range accuracy isn't very good (1inch at 20 yards). The trigger gaurd needs to be metal. the gun is a little heavy (the shadow express is too light so it jumps around when it shoots, better to be too heavy that too light)

    What others should know:

If you want to lower cocking effort even further or want to make it smoother, put tape (or sand) on the platform inside the stock that the cocking roller sits on. It likes heavy pellets (they also ensure the spring doesn't wear down) like the gamo rocket, premier magnum and beeman crow magnums.

    Things I liked:

Good power. Great weight and feel. Gun has a plain, classic look. The fiber-optic sights are definitely a plus.

    Things I would have changed:

The rear ironsight is a little flimsy. Be VERY careful, don't rest the gun on it's side with the windage wheel contacting the ground/table/whatever. Don't knock into or bump the sights, you really need to handle the gun gently. Factory lubrication is a bit messy and sparse. Plastic trigger gaurd is really not a problem since it's not at all flimsy. Wood and metal burrs and shavings were common. Takes a little touching up. The windage and elevation wheels are not too precise but they get the job done. Remember it's a $90 gun. Don't bother with the scope combo, and if you have no other choice dont bother mounting the scope other than for looks. The stop pin on the rear ring didn't even line up with the hole in the receiver for mine.

    What others should know:

This gun fills it's role. A budget, Chinese-made spring rifle for a little more than some pump-pneumatics. It's a good first springer to get used to springers and their recoil, develop your shooting hold (loose hold with follow-through, resting your palm under the gun's balancing point on the wood forearm). You just need to realize it's not going to perform stellar out of the box. You should clean the bore, at least run dry patches through. (Breech to muzzle). CHECK the stock screws often, out of the box mine very quite loose. Also, TRY DIFFERENT PELLETS. Usually the heavier ones 9-10grains+ work better in the 1000fps+ rifles. Don't bother with the velocity craze B.S. Expect the gun to wear IN, not wear out (hopefully). Trigger is pretty bad out-of-box but with time it gets better. It really makes you develop a steady hand (or at least try to :) )

    Things I liked:

The stock feels good in the hand and the power is great. the accuracy is pretty good, at 25 yards i was getting a 3/4 (three quarter) inch group. i could not believe the 3/4 in group, amazing. for bird hunting, target shooting, and pest control this gun is the best. THIS GUN EQUALS BIRD AND VERMIN HELL. : )

    Things I would have changed:

the plastic sights seem a little flimsy but i have had no trouble, and the trigger pull is not so fun but it hasn't cost me a bird YET. DON'T PUT A SCOPE ON HERE. i got horrible accuracy with the little 4x32 i used. uuukkk the cocking effort is a little hard to.

    What others should know:

This gun is good for a moderately good shooter and is fun, cheap, accurate, and last's a good long time. i bought mine about 4 years ago and it skill kills sqirrels and sparrows. ITS A GREAT GUN!

    Things I liked:

optic sights, wood stock (but I added a clear coat of lacquer to protect it)

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger is too hard to pull and I don't like the two stage design

    What others should know:

PBA Raptors and Gamo Rockets work best in my Quest but the PBA's are too expensive and too loud.

    Things I liked:

Wood Stock is well made and is of a good design. May be the best value when considering quality, performance and price available in the market place.

    Things I would have changed:

Stippling or checkering on pistol grip.

    What others should know:

Very oily and greasy. Severe deiseling and erratic performance for the first 120 plus firing cycles. I would buy it again, and I will be buying another soon.

    Things I liked:

See my review of the Phantom 1000, it is the same gun but with a plastic stock. For some reason the quality control was better on the quest than the phantom and I like the wood stock much better.

    Things I would have changed:

    See my phantom review.

    What others should know:

Sights are crap and don't get the combo, the scope is no good. Buy a leapers 3-9x32 or center point 3-9x40 instead.

    Things I liked:

The gun is so comfortable to hold, and doesn't really feel that heavy. I like the wood stock design. I got my Quest very accurate now. If I do my part, it gets dime sized groups. Fiber optic sights are a big help. The Quest is very very easy to cock too.

    Things I would have changed:

The rear sight is pretty flimsy plastic. But if you get it just right, it will be very accurate. I could not get mine to group well with a scope at all.

    What others should know:

Make sure to keep the screws tight! Very important!
