    Things I liked:

I like the feel of it, the way it shoots, the way it looks, ease of sighting in, the way the sights are, even if it is just for shooting it's fun to shoot.

    Things I would have changed:

the only thing is under the forearm the edges where the barrel comes through is a little rough and could be smoothed just a little with some sandpaper but that is all and that is very minor

    What others should know:

If you want a fun gun that is very serious also this is it.

    Things I liked:

This air rifle has a hefty feel to it and is made with attention to detail and quality. It's an accurate airgun, too. It is necessary to give the barrel a good "whap" to break it loose so it can be cocked. It's a good combination of polymer and blued steel with an easily removable carry handle. Once the handle is removed it's easy to attach a scope or red dot sight or any other accessory to the picatiny rail. It's a powerful airgun with an honest 1200fps and gives an appropriate "kick" when fired. Well done Crosman.

    Things I would have changed:

I would have liked to see a multi-shot break barrel rifle as the IZH-Bakail 512MP that has an 8 shot round magazine in the butt stock that rotates to load a new pellet or BB when the break barrel is cocked. It should also come with a web sling. I see no reason why Crosman produce two models of this airgun...one with the removable carry handle and another model with a scope, but no carry handle.

    What others should know:

I recommend purchasing the model of this airgun with the removable carry handle, which will allow removing the handle and attaching your own scope so you have the best of both models.

    Things I liked:

Very realistic looking rifle. Feels just like the M16 A2. Not an expensive gun at Pyramyd with free shipping. Very powerful break barrel.

    Things I would have changed:

The Standard Crosman trigger comes with this gun. An excellent trigger would be great but this one is okay. Better accuracy may result with a better trigger. The barrel is very short. They are going for a realistic look but a longer barrel would give it more leverage for cocking and maybe more velocity. A .22 surpressed barrel like on the Trail NP would make a nice package.

    What others should know:

OMG! This thing really barks! The Trail NP is way quieter. I hope it quiets down after a while. Very powerful for less than $170. It makes the M4177 seem like a real toy. The carry handle version has the price advantage and the peep site works like the real gun with windage and elevation adjustments. Nitro Piston Technology gives a snappy charge without the spring bounce and vibration. Its very realistic looking and not very quiet, may scare the neighbors. Be careful. If you want to have a lot of fun shooting cheap ammo this one is worth considering.

    Things I liked:

This rifle has the heft and feel of a real firearm. It is fun to shoot. Despite is “MADE IN CHINA” does not have a cheap plastic like others is extremely and consistently accurate out to sixty yards. Very powerful not for youngster with out supervision of and adult. I used the H&N SPORT FIEL TARGET TROPHY GREEN 5.56 GR. pellet to break sound with good results, and for hunt I used the “GAMO RED FIRE DIAMOND SHAPED HARD POLYMER TIP 7.8 GR. also with excellent results. It is a bit hard to cock 45 lbs. cocking effort, but this is expected given the power.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing. …… make on .22 and .25 in USA factory.

    What others should know:

If you’re not a strong person, this is not for you. I've had a couple of friends that try to break and load the gun and they were not able to. Buy one of this! You won't be disappointed.

    Things I liked:

I like everything about the rifle, accurate, plenty of power. Very realistic compared to a real AR.

    Things I would have changed:

My scope reticle went haywire after less than 30 shots. The reticle turned 45 degrees in the scope housing. I called Crosman, they are shipping a new scope. Crosman has Excellent customer service ! I would recommend a Rubber butt plate, the hard plastic hurts after prolonged shooting. Also, it would be nice if Crosman offered a carry handle & front site kit for the scoped model.

    What others should know:

The rifle will leave a Mark (bruise) on your shoulder,it does have some kick. I will be installing a slip- on rubber butt pad..

    Things I liked:

Pros: Material feels like a composite, not cheap plastic. Rifle is styled nicely, full size and has quite a lot of heft to it which feels good and steady when shooting. Power is surprising, more penetration in targets than I expected, should handle small pests without issue. Wants to group, I have the horizontal dialed in on the open sights, but elevation is proving a more of a challenge, might be me or the rifle or both, I'm not sure. As noted elsewhere, it is quite hard to cock, but seems to be easing up the more I shoot. The safety is in front of the trigger, which is the best location in my opinion. So far, I'm quite enjoying this rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

Forearm: The cut through under the forearm grip where the break barrel swings down has very sharp edges. They can be uncomfortable on your forward hand, I may sand the edges a little to round them off. Front Sight Tool: The front sight tool fits in the removable magazine, but that's best used to store pellets. The buttstock is hollow, so there was plenty of room to make an insert to hold the front sight tool, that would've been a nice touch, but they didn't. They could've also put it into the pistol grip, but didn't do that either, just a suggestion not an issue. Carry Handle: The carry handle is the composite material, not metal, metal would've been better, but it works alright and the sight adjustment has positive clicks so it's not that bad. Front Sight: I'm struggling to dial in elevation, I am getting very very consistent side to side shot placement, but vertical has a wider spread than I'd like. Perhaps that is myself adjusting to the peep sight, or the rifle - most likely a combination of both. Front Rifle Sling: I tried to add my leather rifle sling (old military issue) and it would not fit through the front rifle sling slot, the slot is too wide enough but too thin. I then tried another webbing rifle sling, and again, the front rifle sling slot was too thin. Come on Crosman, reallY? The only one I could get through was a cheapo nylon webbing one with very thin webbing. Finally, the largest change I'd make... is to launch it in a .22 cal.

    What others should know:

Nice rifle, feels good to hold and shoot. Difficult to cock, so some people may have trouble. Horizontal shot to shot placement is very consistent, but I'm seeing a much larger vertical spread. My groups look like vertical lines of dots on the targets. I haven't been able to dial in the front sight consistently yet for elevation, but horizontal is dead on. More shooting as it breaks in and settles should help the vertical spread to settle down as well. If/When that happens, I'll bump up my accuracy rating. So far my shots have been at 20 and 30 yards only, nothing real far until I get the elevation dialed in.

    Things I liked:

Looks real. Nice details. I found myself trying to work the fake safety.

    Things I would have changed:

Put sights on the gun that work. The front and rear sights adjust for elevation. With both maxed out, the gun is shooting 3 inches low at 5 yards. To be right on at 20 yards, it would need to shoot 1.5 inches low at 5 yards.

    What others should know:

The trigger has a supper extra long pull. I am not rating the accuracy as I have not had enough time with the gun. I tried putting on mag pull sights. The front one fit and help a little with the elevation issue. The rear mag pull sight would not fit. The fake charging handle is in the way of it sliding on and the barrel shroud is in the way at the other end. Any way it would be the wrong height. Eye balling it, the mag pull rear sight looks lower than the stock carry handle. Bought this one as I figured I didn't need another cheap scope. I will be throwing out the sights that came with it.

    Things I liked:

That it is so realistic. An actual AR15 mag will slip into the well. Will not latch for obvious reasons. I've gotten 1/2" groups at 25yds which for me is pretty good. Using some pellets that I've had for years. This rifle while not unduly hard to cock will give a good workout. You'll have to cock it for the young ones. Even has a crack like a .22short. Like the steel piccatiny rail over the reciever. To be honest I can't find words that can 100% describe how much I love this rife.

    Things I would have changed:

The Buttstock swivel is 1 1/4". The Forearm swivel is 1" I done emailed Crosman about it. My 1 1/4" sling will work but I think it will look funky at the Forearm swivel. Not holding my breath for Crosman to fix it.

    What others should know:

Buy it. I like the cheap shooting that it allows. Can't afford to shoot real .223 right now. Saving my dimes so I can get the .45 as a companion piece.

    Things I liked:

Realism and the heft of the carbine is nice. The package however falls short as soon as you realize the iron sight carry handle is totaly plastic and the front sight configuration is not what has been advertised by the manufacturer and the dealer.

    Things I would have changed:

See the following paragraph before you consider a purchase of the Crosman MTR 77NPC.

    What others should know:

    1. The carry handle is 100 percent plastic. Expected a metal rear sight and not this set-up. 2. If you are thinking that the carbine will ship with the same front sight configuration as shown on the Crosman or Pyramyd websight, you may be sad to learn that the M4177 sight has been carried over. If you are expecting and wanting metal iron sights on your carbine you will have to reach into your pocket for additional funds. I do not appreciate these missrepresentations from the manufacturer or the dealer. Accuracy will not be attempted until a better set of sights are purchased and mounted. Why go to all the trouble of making this carbine look realistic and authentic then give us toy like plastic sights? In my opinion, poor job on the sights for an otherwise nice carbine. This is an adult airgun and worthy of a good set of metal sights so charge more for the carbine model and include a better set of quality iron sights.
