    Things I liked:

Medium-Light weight, easy cocking, Nitro Piston, very accurate, straight hard hitting, very quiet backyard friendly . . . .just everything, including the trigger. . (.177 cal)

    Things I would have changed:

    Scope upgrade if anything.

    What others should know:

Probably one of the most complete. . .all around air rifles I have ever shot. Once understanding the trigger, it handles in a superior manner on all fronts expected of a quality air rifle. The only upgrade was a 3-9x50 scope and this thing "BLOWS" the paper out of a bullseye at 20yds +++++ & handles yard pests with ease. The gratification is overwhelming. Nothing negative from me on this one. 8gr Predator Polymags & this rifle make a very effective combination.

    Things I liked:

I posted this becouse of the all the false advertising going on in the Air gun industry. THIS RIFLE AND MOST RIFLES LIKE IT, WILL NOT MEET THE ADVERTISED VELOCITY. SELLERS WITH IN THE INDUSTRY SEEM TO SUPPORT THE DECEPTION OF THE CUSTOMER WITH THEIR LACK OF PUSHING THE INDUSTRY FOR THE TRUTH. The truth is, across a chronograph, this rifle only shoots an average of 735 FPS with a variety of commonly available lead pellets. That being said, it is really quiet. One of the better preformers in the accuracy department. And just fun to shoot.

    Things I would have changed:

INDUSTRY, QUIT LYING ABOUT THE VELOCITY. WE CAN TAKE THE TRUTH AND STILL BUY YOUR PRODUCT.

    What others should know:

Unless you order superlite pellets. You will not come close to the advertised velocity. If you want accurate velocity get a PCP. Problem then is most will not group, unless you drop the velocity.

    Things I liked:

I am not the best shot but was able to keep a 1 inch group from 30 yards. The rubber at the end of the butt is nice for some shock absorbtion and also grabs your clothing for little cocking effort. This gun is also made in America so do not let those YouTube videos tell you differently. Great gun for the money.

    Things I would have changed:

Crossman should smooth the edges of the synthetic stock. It might be me but I had to do mine as the edges were a little sharp.

    What others should know:

I would purchase the rifle that comes with the strap and the ao scope for a few more dollars. The 3-9x40 scope is nice but having the adjustable objective is nice too

    Things I liked:

Very easy and smooth cocking. Great trigger, very crisp break. I was shooting groups under a nickel right out of the box, took a little work on the scope but after that it was good.

    Things I would have changed:

The synthetic stock could use some fit and finish. The scope reticle moved inside the tube after 6 shots.

    Things I liked:

Very powerful and QUIET! I loved the weight and balance of the rifle. I really liked the styling and feel of the stock. The adjustable trigger was very good and I liked the operation of the Safety. I really liked the idea of buying American again! I desperately wanted to keep this rifle…but didn’t.

    Things I would have changed:

Accuracy was unacceptable in two different rifles I tried. The first rifle had a circular error of 4 to 6 inches at 20 yards no matter what pellets I used or how I held the rifle. The second rifle was a bit better on accuracy, 3 inches at 20 yards was the average although one time I had a group of 5 pellets within ½ inch, next time out, 5 inches same conditions, the only thing consistent with the two barrels was inconsistency. I even bought an upgraded scope to improve the accuracy which did nothing for either rifle. I used 7 different types of pellets that other reviewers used with success without any success of my own. I’m envious of other reviewers who lucked out with decent barrels, I really loved everything else about this gun, but without any type of consistent accuracy it is nothing more than a fancy club.

    What others should know:

I went with a RWS Diana 34…very simple, very accurate, right out of the box ½ inch groupings at 20 yards independent of pellet type or hold with open sights!

    Things I liked:

I have had the NP2 in the 22 cal for several months. My sons and myself have 3 of them. We really enjoy the quietness and the accuracy of the gun. It seems to really pack a lot of punch. The gun is well balanced and easy to shoot. Trigger works well. Pyramid Air is a superior dealer and they do what they say they will do. Jerry at Pyramid Air is very helpful and he will help you find the gun that's right for you at the best deal. They ship very promptly. We would recommend them as a very reliable dealer.

    Things I would have changed:

In our opinion, the factory scope that came with this gun is inferior to the gun. The gun is excellent and needs a scope upgrade. We replaced one of the scopes with a BSA airgun scope and two of them with a UTG scope from Pyramid Air and had good performance.

    Things I liked:

I definitely like the looks of the gun...I do like the fact that this particular gun was fairly clean unlike the first NP2 with the wood stock that was a disaster as soon as I opened the box...this was a few months back..so I waited until Crosman corrected some of the flaws with their highly touted NP2 that had flopped drastically...well this new black synthetic .22 NP2 was a Christmas gift & I figured I would be returning this one too...well I was wrong...once I opened the box & thoroughly examined this one for any cosmetic flaws which it has but very very minimal...I can live with it...now besides the look that I liked I like the easy cocking effort to cock the barrel....very smooth as well...I mounted a Hawke Sport 4-12 x 50 AO scope & not the garbage that comes with the package...after about a dozen JSB Exacts.22 that I shot I finally was on my target...I could not get my shots on the paper at all...when I did I decided to bring my target in from 45yds to 23 yds to sight it in!

    Things I would have changed:

Definitely the scope & as much as the trigger is better then the first NP that were out ...this trigger is still on the heavy pull side...maybe it will lighten up in time...who knows??

    What others should know:

After sighting in my scope & shooting a bit I have to say that I am very impressed with the accuracy of this gun...at 23 yds I was consistently putting pellet after pellet in the same ragged hole...this gun groups quite well & for the money it's a tough beat...I'm not comparing it to my Theoben Gas Rams but for a $200 airgun you can't go wrong...I don't know how long this gun will perform this way but for now it has finally won my approval!!!

    Things I liked:

Gun came very well packaged in double boxed. The gun is just the right weight and is very powerful. The scope mounted easily and is ok for close range use. It cocks easy and is comparable to most other break barrels. The trigger is definitely better than the plain NPs and is actually a two stage trigger.

    Things I would have changed:

The scope should be have an AO on it. The trigger pull weight needs to be reduced by a couple pounds. It is very hold sensitive and has more recoil than the plain NP that I had before I bought this NP2 and it is supposed to have less recoil and be smoother but it is not and I wish I had kept my titan NP.

    What others should know:

This is a powerful air gun and has a better trigger than the NPs but it has more recoil which makes it more hold sensitive and is not a smooth as my Titan NP is and therefore is more difficult to shoot accurately. My Titan NP was not hold or pellet sensitive and I could hit 3/4 inch groups at 50 yards all day long, this NP2 is very difficult to even get close to 2 inch groups at that range. Using Crosman 14.3 domed pellets it is only 70 fps faster than my Titan NP which is not enough difference to me to make up for the greater recoil and less accuracy. It may get better with more pellets through it as I have only put 200 through it so far. I had to tighten up the barrel pivot screw because the set screw that should keep the pivot screw tight was never tightened to secure the pivot screw.

    Things I liked:

It looks good but it doesn't have anything great that i love about this gun.

    Things I would have changed:

The barrel twists, it doesn't have very good accuracy, it is kind of heavy, and I don't like the trigger or safety on this gun.

    What others should know:

I suggest saving up and getting a non-break barrel gun to be more accurate. The website has plenty of great guns but the video seemed to be pretty misleading to this gun.

    Things I liked:

Wow I love this gun; yeah I pretty much like everything about it. This .22 Cal. Benjamin Trail NP2 is a lot of fun to shoot. In my opinion it's powerful, quiet, accurate, has a nice crisp predictable two stage trigger, a safety that I don't forget to use and a really great price at Pyramid Air with free shipping included. I like the Picatinny rail and the gun just looks and feels great. In fact it looks more than great, it looks Bada**.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing really, particularly at this price point! I had read reviews that commented on the lack of AO on the 3-9x32 scope. If I had chosen to, I could have spent more and bought the combo with the upgrade scope and AO. But I did not and I'm happy with my decision. So far most of my shooting has been at 10-15 yards and I have not found the lack of AO to be a problem. The only thing that I did address was the upper edge of the stock forend, which had sharp edges running along either side of the barrel. I simply slid a blade along the edge (taking care not to scrape the barrel) and bingo, no more sharp edge on the forend.

    What others should know:

The Benjamin Trail NP2 is accurate, particularly with JSB Exact Jumbo Heavy pellets, which my gun seems to like the best so far. After shooting about 250 rounds I am able to fairly consistently shoot 3/4 inch groups at 12 yards (my garage length). It was reassuring to see my groups get smaller over time as I got used to shooting the gun and experimented with my hold. I really like the predictable, smooth two-stage trigger. The gun has a noticeable kick, more than I had anticipated but certainly not objectionable. Its quiet enough to use in my residential neighborhood backyard without attracting unwanted attention or disturbing my neighbors. The cocking force is not insignificant, but if my memory serves me correctly, its slightly less than the Benjamin Trail NP that I had previously shot. I believe that this gun is going to be a decent hunting rifle and I'm looking forward to taking out of my back yard and into the field.

    Things I liked:

For the price the gun seems to be very well built and is as described in the power range. After about 20 shots the scope cross hairs moved and can no longer be adjusted.

    Things I would have changed:

The scope that comes with this rifle is poor quality and needs to be upgraded.

    Things I liked:

    Lighter weight. Better trigger.

    Things I would have changed:

More customizable - make it with folding stock and the barrel with a release that would allow the folded rifle to fit in a back pack. The shrouded barrel makes it no less quiet than a similar model of Benjamin without shroud. Shorten barrel to optimum velocity length.

    What others should know:

Power wise the break barrels are fun - but still toys. For the price there is no reason why a more powerful and refined gun can't be manufactured.

    Things I liked:

Lighter than my original Nitro Piston Trail gun -- which was one of my favorites and which I have also passed on to a friend for his amusement. Quite accurate, though it's hold-sensitive because of recoil, though certainly not unmanageable.

    Things I would have changed:

Slightly better trigger -- it's a little long in the pull, in spite of the adjustment potential.

    What others should know:

I'd certainly recommend this gun. I've put around 500 rounds through it so far and have been pleased with the results.

    Things I would have changed:

    What others should know:

Not a very accurate rifle. Groups all over the place no matter what pellet I tried. I also expected it to be harder hitting. Traded the rifle off after shooting it a month.

    Rating 3.03.0 3.0

    Rating 3.03.0 3.0

    Things I liked:

Good value for the money and a good rifle to begin with. Enough power for me (in urban environment), not that loud - you can use heavier pellets to decrease somehow the gun's report (its velocity was already subsonic). .22 caliber and the rifle's power is good enough for target shooting, plinking and perhaps for (small) varmint control.

    Things I would have changed:

I would sell the rifle w/o scope, or w. a decent one. Scope is junk. Discard. It has such huge parallax errors, it is making impossible to shoot consistently. Crosman's QC did not notice the very sharp edges of the plastic stock - both over and under stock. Their Cust. Service allowed me (verbal approval) to bevel the sharp stock edges w/o to lose the warranty. Stock is a little short (I am 6 Ft tall and have long arms and neck), so I had to push the scope forward to its max. in order to obtain comfortable eye relief. I purchased a Hawke Panorama 4-12x40 w. AO and Map 6A Illuminated Reticle and the consistency and accuracy improved a lot, better than I expected from a low end air rifle. I don't like the trigger, it has a too long play for my taste and it does not have a "crisp" 2nd stage triggering. Trigger is adjustable, but not to a level to make me happy.

    What others should know:

This is my 1st air rifle. (Cal. .22). Power below advertised. 20-for-20 done by Pyramyd revealed min. 767.1 and max. 796.85 FPS velocity w. RWS Hobby 11.9 Gr. pellets. This rifle is for adults, I would not purchase it for teenagers or kids - will be too hard to cock and too heavy for them, not to mention the recoil. If you upgrade the scope, make sure you double check w. Pyramyd's Cust Service (Gene Salvino - the guy which mounted and zeroed my scope is a person w. v. good experience regarding scopes and air rifles). I was not aware that are the springers are so destructive on scopes (having their recoil forward - but some backward movement too). Don't keep your eye/forehead close to the scope and hold firm, or the scope will hit you in your head(eye) when you shoot. I thought about buying a bipod, but I ended using a VERY sturdy tripod from my rotary laser level and a chair to decrease my involuntary muzzle movement. That tripod can stick into the ground and it does not move at all.

    Things I liked:

Easy to cock. the trigger is A-1.

    Things I would have changed:

would have been nice to have 30 foot lbs. of energy.

    What others should know:

The gun is very loud when you are shooting it. Your face is against the stock and you hear the piston and what-not, vibrate. The gun recoil is that of a 243 rifle because the piston is moving forward. GET A BETTER SCOPE!! The vibration will KILL the scope. People will tell you that it is more quiet than other break barrels. Don't give up on it. You will find that the gun is hard to put away, once you start shooting it. Note: to quiet the gun more, shoot a heavier pellet. The pellet that shoots best for me is 14.66 grains, made by H&N.(5.53)

Everything. . In .177. Advertised features are accurate. Effortless cocking, quiet, light weight, good trigger function, decent scope.

    Things I would have changed:

Not one thing. But will put on a Centerpoint 6-14x40 just to add to my shooting options and experience.

    What others should know:

Settle in on a pellet and this is an excellent performer. Accurate shooter from various distances. Hard hitter extreme knock down power. I use Predator Polymags & Metalmags. Also JSB 8. & 10. Exact. All around excellent choice. Give this a try. Excellent purchase from PA.

The looks, the weight is not bad, the trigger may be the best I have experienced. The scope works very well. I can usually count on this rifle to deliver the shot where I want it to go.

    Things I would have changed:

At my age reducing the weight is always a plus. I am glad mine did not come with a wooden stock. According to my scales mine weighs less than 8 pounds including the scope.

    What others should know:

I have enjoyed every minute of shooting this gun. Even when I get tired, it can be hard to put down.
