    Things I liked:

Everything from the trigger to the 100 yard shots. This rifle is by far the best in every way and air rifle can be. The fact that this rifle is totaly ajusable. i mean you can ajust the trigger 5 different ways like trgger pull, sheer, pull length, 1st and 2nd stage ajustments. you can also ajust the air flow to tune feet per second (fps) and you can ajust hammer stroke and force. Tell me of another PCP rifle at this price that lets you do all of this and has a built in preasure guage to boot. This beast also comes with sling studs and a ventalated butt pad and checkered grips. Baffled and cocked floating barrel for accuracy. plus and 10 round mag and a smooth bolt action feel. Plus I am getting 950 fps at full power at 3000 psi with a 14.3 gr HP pellet. That is just over 30 ft/pounds of energy. GOODBYE RABBIT lol.

    Things I would have changed:

Maybe just have a thumb hole stock option

    What others should know:

Spend the extra and get the big package the case hold this rifle great and this way you dont forget the HAND PUMP. The scoop is very clear with 4x16x50 ao magnification. I was able to maintain a 3 inch group out at 100 yards with 10 shots. With a 5 to 10 cross wind on what felt like a 80 degree day from the pron position using that killer slig stud bipod. i use this rifle in my back yard in a congested townhouse subdivision (with proper back stop. dont want any broken windows) and non of my neibors complain. It is that quiet. Get one of these and all your other rifles will just fade away.

    Things I liked:

    I can’t hit the broad side of a barn at close range with other guns, but I can pick off a house fly at 100’ with my new Marauder and Leepers scope! If I can see it, I can hit it!! This gun performs as advertised, and I’m proud that it’s made in the USA….(please don’t tell me later the stock is US and the action is a Chi-Com special!!{Chinese}

    Things I would have changed:

1.) LOWER THE PRICE AND YOU WILL OWN THE MARKET WITH THIS GUN CROSMAN!, easy item to sell to my adult friends but hard to justify this price for a pellet gun. 2.) OFFER LIGHTER STOCK(Don't change the action!) Is a little heavy when you add a good scope....which you will need.

    What others should know:

1.) Buy the Marauder!! I looked at the Discovery (and others) to save a buck, to quiet it down, put in a good trigger and bring it "close" to Marauder,'s level, the cost is the same with much more "mickey mouse" time and effort, Marauder has it all in ONE box! 2.) Get a scuba tank and not the pump...Much faster refills....Unless you like workouts after every 30 shots, (with a stupid pump that breaks after awhile ) My tank was $200 and fitting from PA was $77, they don't include the ($25) quick disconnect on my order, I was pissed!!....so make sure they include that on yours. MyTank&set up $277,vs pump $180.....Tank(80CF) Cost $5 to recharge, Mutiple fills / fired almost 600 rounds scuba tank still shows full. My Leapers 5th Gen 6-24x50 AO Varmint Rifle Scope, scope is a little over kill but better over than under, I like it alot...You will too! I think the Gun & accessories are pricy, but its a one time cost that is justified. 500 Premier pellets cost me $8 bucks, cheep money. I shoot it in my yard in a “very quiet” neighborhood in the summer time, morning, noon, and night, no one can hear me, no police responding to gun shots, never a complaint. No need to pay membership to rifle clubs or fees to register this gun, I feel it has the power of a 22, its the only gun I own and I feel protected and very happy with it so far.

    Things I liked:

when I purchased this gun and put my hands upon it I realised I got hold of a rifle that is simply a miracle! It is beautiful, extremely accurate and, ultra quite. I owe several PCP rifles, but I consider the Marauder the something else! I am very pleased from every aspect.Try yourselves and you will comfirm what I say. you will fall in love with it!

    Things I would have changed:

I think that it should be a possibility for open sights to be fixed. In many countries scopes on airguns are prohibited, even for target shooting.

    What others should know:

If you use an air pump to fill your gun, protect it from dust, fill your gun slowly, and it will be in perfect working condition for years.

    Things I liked:

25 cal is unbelievable. I have a .177 and a 22 cal, this Marauder is the best out of the other Marauders I own. It hits so hard you will not believe the damage and it is just as quite, as the Marauder is known for. It took less then 10 shots to have hole in hole at 30 maters. I put a Leopers 3-12x44 SWAT side wheel on this, and I will be changing all my guns over to this scope. If you have not tried one...do yourself a favor, try one, for $109.95 plus $11.99 for the big wheel, best buy out there. You can range with this in one second, and it is very accurate right off the scale on the wheel.........It will split in half bottom to top, a pop can full of water, and shoot water 30 feet. I have other guns, but have had trouble with air leaks. It is Crosman all the way for me. Out of the box, and to the range, not one problem. My Sumatra leaked, and so did my Career 300 also leaked right out of the box. I love both, but a pain to get right.........and so loud.........Not with the Marauder...what a gun.......Thanks Crosman & Pyramyd....I put 500 rounds through it the first day without one not loading or going where it was supposed to. That reminds me......I need to order more pellets........................................

    Things I would have changed:

Things I would change... The rotary clip casting is not "clicking in" like my other Marauders. I called Crosman about this and there engineer is on it. Now get this......I got a person at Crosman the first ring...a person..can you believe that...I am going to call them again just to see if this was just a good day or what........The only thing I wish it had is a side lever, I have one, and they are nice....Crosman...what do you think? This 25 cal is an air hog, and perhaps a larger tank should have been used. At 3000 and 16 shots later you are down to 2000...but will hit hard and hold hole in hole down to 1200 and at 1000 your under fast...you can hear the gun wees as it shoots....your done...but 36 to 40 real good hard hits right on the money.

    What others should know:

Great stock, bi-pod or shoulder straps mounts already on the stock, best accuracy I have ever seen, and quite as a mouse shooting.....what else is there, well it will not make coffee, but it will completely destroy the cup........

    Things I liked:

Extremely accurate. Extremely quiet. Nice trigger. Great magazine. Nice price.

    Things I would have changed:

It's a big rifle. I'm 5'9 and 160 lbs. and I wish the rifle was just a bit shorter and lighter. Also, I wish the transfer port could be adjusted without taking off the stock and a tiny retaining screw.

    What others should know:

Mine is a .177 caliber. It's a great value for the money. I am amazed by the accuracy (1/2" groups at 40 yards are not uncommon). I am using cleaned and lubed CPL pellets.

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

This rifle is very accurate. I get sub 1/2" groups at 20 yards consistently with Crosman Premier pellets, and the factory settings. I think with some experimentation with the settings, it might be capable of even better accuracy. The rifle is attractively finished, better than some real firearms in the same price range. It surpassed my expectations for how quiet it is. The magazines are easy to use once you figure them out, and it's a lot nicer than hand loading individual pellets one at a time. It was nice of Crosman to include a degassing tool with the rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

The stock that came on mine is very nice looking, but asymmetrical. The fore end of the stock is not square to the action, so the sights are not level when using a stock-mounted bipod. (I used a scope leveling kit to ensure my reticle is parallel to the top of the breech.) I don't want to ship the stock off and have to wait for a replacement, so I'll just deal with it, perhaps I'll get a pivot bipod to compensate. Also, I'd prefer to have a weaver type mounting rail as opposed to the typical rimfire dovetail found on most airguns. While it is a well executed example of a typical dovetail, and adequate for the purpose, there really is no advantage to choosing it over a weaver rail, and there are a lot more scope rings and mounts available for the Weaver system. The fill nipple cap is a nice, threaded metal cap, but there appears to be no retention device. It would be nice if an O ring were included to give a little friction to prevent the fill cap from coming unscrewed inadvertently. I would also like to have seen one of the single shot breech adapters included in the package. Finally, with the relative simplicity of the "de-pinger" modifications people have been performing on these rifles, I think it would be nice to have included as standard equipment. The rifle is already very quiet, but this would be a nice touch.

    What others should know:

If you plan on adjusting the factory fill pressure, velocity, and hammer stroke/force settings, you will benefit greatly from having a Shooting Chrony. Without knowing how your adjustments affect velocity, it is almost impossible to correctly tune the rifle to a particular pellet. This isn't a shortcoming of the rifle, but it is best to just leave the factory settings alone and use Crosman Premier pellets until you get a chronograph.

    Things I liked:

Rig came with: 22 cal with Leapers 5th Gen 4-16x50AO Rifle Scope; Benjamin Discovery .22 Cal, 14.3 Grains, Hollowpoint pellets; compressed air. Tack driver. I used to have a Woodpecker problem. Not anymore. 12 for 12. Best shot a 66 yards. Target shooting off a bench rest at 25 yds gives 10 shot groups inside of a dime. Match grade trigger rocks, very crisp, no adjustment needed even though it is adjustable. Heavy, solid weapon. Not a toy. Nice solid wood stock. Blued metal. I am left handed, safety works great. Powerfull. Wrecked my Beeman $50 steel pellet trap. Blew through my full sized target; had to reinforce back with sheet metal. Baffled barrel makes gun quiet. Bolt action is smooth and tight. I am extremely pleased! Accurate. Powerful. Decent looking. I never do reviews but this gun is made in the USA and cheaper than the foreign models but has all the same benefits: Choked barrel, match grade trigger, baffled barrel, floating barrel, real wood stock, blued metal, bolt action. I am just a customer, not a shill. I know, I do sound like I am on the payroll but I am not. Just very pleased!

    Things I would have changed:

A little lighter would be nice. It is the same weight as a typical center fire rifle like my remington 700BDL. If you are used to shooting a high power rifle you will be not affected by the weight.

    What others should know:

Hard to pump. Take your time.

    Things I liked:

Accuracy, deadly for varmints (chipmunks, squirrels, etc.) here in the Northeast. Using Crosman Premier Domed 14.3 Gr, 22 cal., I can easily shoot within a quarter size at 50 yards. The Benjamin Discovery .22 Cal, 14.3 Grains, hollow point, that I also ordered as part of the package, shoot in the very same hole as the domed pellets. Very impressed. Beats the heck out of the Gamo Whisper for accuracy, ONLY because it is not hold sensitive. Me thinks the springer will be sitting in the safe for quite a while.

    Things I would have changed:

As others have mentioned, the pressure gauge should have been rotated 180 degrees. When flipping the rifle to see what pressure is left, just a pain to have to see the gauge backward. I solved this problem by removing the stock, and rotating the large coupling 180 degrees clockwise very carefully. Sorry Crosman, but all is now good here, and you should do the same. Did this void my warranty? I don't care as rifle shoots awesome.

    What others should know:

Buy it, you won't be sorry.

    Things I liked:

    22. Great gun ,shoots smooth and real quiet the adds are no joke. Ive shot a few times and missed (human error) and the animal will look around where the pellet hits but doesnt hear the shot at all! Dime size groups all day long out to 40 yrds I havent tried farther yet on targets but have had a few long 80 yrd shots and came dam close and the pellet seemed to have good power at that range using 14 grain premiers . Aslo i get about 35 good shots only thing i tinkered with was the fill i changed it to 3000 psi. Im also using the benjamin hand pump and it works great after the first long fill up after that 4-5 min pumping and your good to go . Heard stories about it being too hard im having no problem and im 170 lbs 5.10 help the review helps also pyramid air is a safe site to order from i have got 3 guns so far no problem even returned the whisper from gamo and they gave no problems.

    Things I would have changed:

Hmm Its a great rifle but if I had to say something mabe the plastic clip although I dont know what else could be used. I would also make the settings easier to understand for a every day person.

    What others should know:

A bit heavy to carry far without a sling. I thought I would tune my settings and its way more complicated than I thought but not unreasonable with some studying up.

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

It lives up to it's reputation for being quiet. The fit and finish are better than some real firearms in the same price range. Accuracy with 14.3 grain .22 Premiers is impressive. My first true 5 shot group after sighting it in at 20 yards can be covered with a dime. The gun looks beautiful. The stock is comfortable and looks great, but there is a slight issue I'll mention in a bit. The sling swivel studs are a nice addition. The little magazines work fine as well.

    Things I would have changed:

The stock itself appears to be made of some really nice wood, and it looks great, but there is one problem with it. I attached a bipod to the gun and got behind the rifle. When I looked into the scope, the reticle was about 10 degrees out of level. I had just used a 2 vial scope leveling kit to mount the scope so the reticle would be aligned with the breech block, so this was puzzling. I then put the gun in a bench rest and again, the crosshairs were not level. Upon closer examination, it appears the bottom of the stock forearm was improperly shaped during production so it slopes from left to right. This doesn't allow the bipod to mount level, and explains why the gun wouldn't sit level in the rest. It shouldn't affect offhand shooting, or shooting from sandbags, though. Also, the bipod legs can be adjusted to compensate for it. I would also have included a thin O ring on the fill nipple to give some friction to prevent the cap from unscrewing and getting lost.

    What others should know:

The air reservoir is bigger than the Discovery's, so you will be doing slightly more pumping to fill it. If you use a scope with a 40mm objective lens, medium Accushot rings will work, but the high rings will be needed for enough clearance to use flip up lens covers. You'll definitely need high rings for a 50mm scope. There are no less than 3 user adjustable controls that allow you to adjust the velocity (flow restrictor), hammer spring tension, and hammer travel. This lets you adjust the force with which the valve opens to allow for higher fill pressure, and the dwell time the valve stays open. However, it's impossible to really know what affect these adjustments are having on the gun's performance without being able to measure the velocity. I strongly recommend buying a chronograph so that you can tune your rifle for optimum performance with a given pellet choice. From the factory, my rifle seems to be optimized for the 14.3 grain Premiers. If you don't want a chronograph right away, I'd recommend buying Premiers until you get one. You'll also want to invest in some hex wrenches if you plan on making adjustments to the rifle. If it wasn't for the asymmetrical forearm on the stock, I would have given this gun a five star rating overall. It's easily the nicest air rifle I've ever had the pleasure of shooting.

    Things I would have changed:

Excellent balance, very accurate, and very smooth trigger. This thing, as an added bonus, is whisper quiet, litterally. Believe what you read about this gun, all you will hear is the "bong" of the bolt spring. A real pleasure to shoot, but I doubt the squirels that ravaged my peaches would agree.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing really. I like wood, and I would like to have seen maybe a linseed or tung oil finish on the stock, but really, how often can you be that picky about an air gun? The answer is when you can't find anything else to pick on.

First off let me say that Pyramid Air is first class all the way. The Marauder air rifle rocks, fine piece of work. The accuracy of this rifle is scary right out of the box, its light & user friendly in the deep woods, I have a little Leapers mil-dot bug buster scope mounted on mine...its a dang near perfect fit, looks sweet too. I've been shooting practice golf balls off a tee at around 60yards...then splitting the tee itself.....amazing!!! Its difficult sometimes to tell if all pellets are firing...because all I ever see at the target is one hole...haha. I'm kidding, of course all you have to do is look at the auto indexing clip to see what shot your on, its clever & I love it.

    Things I would have changed:

better gauge on the gun, too small to read accurately

    What others should know:

My first Marauder seamed great, until I got a chrony. It was shooting premiers at 800FPS, perfect. Except it was already turned all the way up. I couldn't get anymore than 800fps with 14 grain pellets (about 20 fpe). I called and got a replacement, right out of the box it was shooting premiers over 900fps. I switched to 21 grain kodiaks, and tuned it up to over 850fps (34 fpe), and still wasn't all the way up!! But that took over 5 pumps/shot, so I tuned it back to 800fps with 21 grains, awesome. 2.5-3 pumps per shot, 10 shot standard deviation as low as 2.6 fps! Perfect for hard hitting hunting.

    Things I liked:

This is my third Marauder and this one is 25 cal. I have a 22 at my home in the south and another 22 at my home in the north. I use my air rifles for primarily lawn pest and varmit control. After I go my first Marauder I sold my 6 springers as I felt there was no reason to pick them up anymore. I have shot only CP pellets, cardboard box in the 22's, and Benjamens in the 25, these shoot well in most Marauders, so why look for problems. The 25 is hard hitting and the higher muzzle energy and heavier larger pellets makes it the most humane choice for hunting and pest control.

    Things I would have changed:

I would change nothing, this rifle is like the 427 Chevy of the 1960's, a huge lot of performance for not very much money, and backed by the super Crossman service. The forearm of the stock seems a little large to me, and visually I would like it slimed down, and possibly the forearm shortened about an inch and a more conventional tip, be provided.

    What others should know:

If you are in doubt which caliber to buy, set the three pellets, side by side, the 25 is awesome. The shot count is down with the 25, so if you a target shooter only, the little guy my be your choice. The 25 is factory set up for 3000 psi, accoring to the factory tag, and thats is what I operate at. At 3000 it is a little louder than my 22's which I operate at 2200 down to 1800. My 22's are May 09, and June 09, rifles, and had no psi set tags. The 25 was the easiest rifle to sight in that I have ever owned, with 4 X 16 Centerpoint scope it took a total of 7 shoots to zero it in at 35 yards, with no bore sighting required. Since sighting it in, I have fired it 8 times, and 8 nutters have bit the dust, not a suprise as I have a string of over 30 without a miss at my house in the south, with one of the 22's. Other than lightening the trigger pull a little, I have not changed the settings on any of the three. I have added depingers to both 22's and the 25 will get one as soon as I get around to it. I get by with a hand pump, but it gets harder to pump at the upper levels and I notice a big difference between 2200 psi and 3000 psi, so if I were doing a lot of shooting I would be looking for a scuba bottle or looking for the lowest price compressor I could find, relative to a 3000 psi operating rate. I have never owned a 25 air rifle previously, but would say this, Iif I were allowed to keep only one, hands down, I keep the 25. Thanks Crossman for this reasonably priced rifle.

Well constructed rifle. Nothing flimsy. Reasonably aligned with scope (Leapers 5th Gen 2-7x32mm) right out of the box. Pre-sales help from Pyramid air was excellent.

    Things I would have changed:

Lighter and supporting a smaller scope would be good for backyard critter removal.

    What others should know:

Paper documentation is very terse with tiny type and poor figures. Luckily the web has a number of excellent videos on loading the clip and general setup. Crosman could have done better.

    Things I liked:

I have the .22 cal version. Consistent accuracy even with variable pressures. I can get 40 solid shots with very little noticeable accuracy differences at 100 yards. The feel of this rifle is high quality with excellent workmanship and fine materials. This is also a very quiet rifle, especially compared to a break barrel springer. My microphone downrange never picked up any pop from the shot, just the occasional whizzing of a pellet cutting through the air.

    Things I would have changed:

I would add removable iron sights as part of the base rifle. Other than that, it's near perfect.

    What others should know:

Overall, this rifle is certainly no toy! When the scope and bipod are added, I would strongly advise against walking around the neighborhood with this as it looks very intimidating. It should also be noted that with the right pellet, a 200 yard shot is attainable with this rifle. Although this is a challenging shot, this rifle is quite capable. My son calls it the silent sniper rifle for all these reasons.

Its a little heavy. Include a chart with averages of air pressure vs. velocity for several different pellet weights. some ballpark figures would help

    What others should know:

Check to make sure the barrel and air chamber are lined up with each other, mine must have been twisted during shipping,(common problem, easy fix) just loosen the two set screws and straighten them up. Marauder uses alot more air than discovery (more pumping, but you get more power) I get about thirty shots on one air charge, so get three clips. That way you load up with air and pellets all at the same time, works out great! one last thing, DONT SHOOT YOUR EYE OUT!

    Things I would have changed:

I cant find a single thing wrong with it.

    What others should know:

I have kept mine factory stock, the trigger is so smooth that it could spoil you for life. the gun has all the adjustments you could ever want on it, including the trigger but iv found that it is perfect right out of the box. i use a hand pump and after shooting two magazines, it takes about 10 easy pumps to get the pump up to pressure and then about 20 or 25 more pumps to get the gun back up to 3100 psi which is where i start off at. this is using 27g pellets and heavier. light pellets seem to use more air. It's a serious powerhouse and the prettiest gun iv ever owned. No small animals could walk away from it. iv shot 4 types of pellets including round ball and they all group allmost hole in hole at 30 yards and im using cheapest made in china scope i own. i say allmost cause allmost is the best of my ability. it will shoot better than you. its also very quiet. most noise it makes is from hitting the target. Its a whole new world from the springer. allmost too easy. Its the best airgun iv ever shot.
