Bear Archery Legit RTH Reviews

Almost three months into ownership of the Bear Legit and the bow began to shot very erratically. One shot was high, the next was low and all shots varied left to right. I checked the bow, and three of the four upper and lower cam module mounting screws were loose and one was missing. The upper cam module was freely moving and fell off when I pulled the one remaining screw out. I then gave the bow a good inspection and found both the upper and lower arms were cracking. THIS BOW IS JUNK!!!! Buyer beware.

Bought 2 of these packages. From the start, we've been having problems with screws coming loose, sometimes those screws completely fall off. We're spending as much time fixing issues than practising with the bows. To be fair, when it's adjusted, it's fantastic, but 20-40 shots in, the rattling starts again and sometimes you see that a screw is completely missing.

I wanted to say thank you for this bow. I have two bad shoulders and was about to give up archery until I walked into bull's eye archery. the owner set this up and had me fire 20 arrows and there was NO PAIN in my shoulder at all. this bow is amazing and a great price to

Bought the Bear Legit a little over a year ago and have had nothing but problems with it. The cam stop screws kept backing out, which with a little lock tight that small problem was fixed. Following that issue the factory cable slide cut into cables after about 100 shots to the point where it felt unsafe to shoot. After getting the cables and slide replaced I ran into the issue of the cams cutting into the cable on the shot. Replaced the cables under warranty again and as soon as I got back it started again so i sent the bow in and I have been waiting for it to get repaired for 5 weeks now. Little to say I’m not impressed with this bow and if you are looking to get into archery stay away from this bow it will cause you nothing but problems!!!!

It smells like asparagus which I absolutely love and I killed my first Turkey wit it jit.

Great Bow For the Price. I liked all the different patterns and color. Adjusting was very easy. Draw weight was easy to adjust (bolts were very tight) Draw length came perfect at 26 in so I Havent adjusted that yet. Arrow flight has been okay still doing some adjustments.

I have shot the legit for over a year now and I’m really impressed with it…I searched for awhile before I found one in Fred Bear camo and it was absolutely worth the wait. The RTH extra package was awesome as it came with everything needed for a day in the woods all the way to broadheads.

This bow is the "Michael Jordan" of user friendly bows. Bear has single handedly created a bow that you can adjust to be shot by anyone, at almost any age, with any level of experience. This bow has the ability to be shot by someone who has never shot a bow before, yet is fully capable of being the bow a seasoned hunter takes on any North American big game hunt.

I purchased this bow only two months ago and have had 2 issues occur that should not have happened this early in the life of this product. After the first month the string began to fray aggressively to the point where I had to replace it for safety’s sake. No more than 50 arrows in to the new string the cam draw length modules gave out (in the middle of hunting season for me nonetheless). All tune ups and installations to the bow were conducted by a highly reputable archery shop with decades worth of experience. I understand that this bow is geared more towards the entry level or budget friendly consumer, however I don’t thinks it is unreasonable to expect the parts of this bow to hold up for at least more than a season. The only satisfactory part of the experience thus far was the customer service readily replacing my broken parts. And to be fair the bow shot like a laser for a limited time when it was tuned up and working properly. If I had a time machine I would have just saved my money and bought a bow with higher quality materials. The money I’ve spent replacing, installing, and tuning this thing would have already bought me a better bow from the start. Ultimately, you get what you pay for.

This is the best bow I have ever owned!! It is and absolutely beautiful bow and extremely accurate. It was so easy to adjust my draw length and draw weight. It was so easy to setup and sight in. It is very light and easy to balance when shooting. My husband even loves this bow. The pictures dont do justice for this bow. The Trophy Ridge accessories are outstanding. Packaging and shipping was excellent. I am 100% satisfied with this bow and will definitely buy from them again!

Very solid bow so far. Really like how easy it is to adjust draw length and poundage. Love the old school Bear camo pattern.

Bought this bow with the Fred classic camouflage and I couldn’t be happier. It is smooth, quiet, and shoots great. The finish looks great. Absolutely love the OD green riser combined with the classic camo limbs. I’m actually completely blown away at how great of a package it is for the price point. The only upgrade I made was swapping out the peep, just because I prefer the ones without a tube. I’m 6’1” and the bow feels perfect for me, and the fact that I could adjust it and let my 10 year old shoot it, without needing to take it and put it in a bow press is fantastic. Bear sold me, I won’t be buying any other bow brand again.

Bought this as my first compound after shooting Traditional the last 12 years, expect some string and cable work to be done out of the box, get rid of the no tie peep and youll find this to be a very nice shooting bow at a great cost! If you’re looking for a bow that does not require as much tuning, get the single cam White tail legend.

I bought this bow 2 weeks ago. Out of the box the cams were out of time and screws were loose. My local bow shop corrected all the issues and tuned it. 8 shots later cams were out of time again and the peep broke. Replaced that and retuned. Every thirty or so shots the cam adjustment screws back out. No big deal, retorque them. Contacted Bear and they told me they sell a ton of bows so some issues are expected on new bows. Wow. Go to retorque the screws again before heading to the range and notice the cam is digging into the string. Guess we'll see if they stand behind their product as I just reached out to them again. Otherwise I love the bow.

I bought this bow about two weeks ago, and so far, very impressed right out of the box. the only thing i had an issue with is the peep hole for it. i personally thing the hole is too large.

I bought this bow a few months ago and so far its its been exactly what I was looking for. Last year I bought my first bow, a diamond edge sb-1, well my wife wanted to get into archery as well so I decided I'd check out some other brands to compare so I did some research and took a chance with this bow and after using it for the past few months I've concluded that the legit is a far better value then what diamond is offering. My biggest complaint with the diamond was the accessories all felt cheap, with the bear everything you get is trophy ridge and imo much better then the octane stuff. This bow is extremely smooth to draw. Isn't too loud. Is very light. Easy to tune. Comes with hat (lol) So if you are new to compound bows and like me you are contemplating whether to get one of the diamond bows or bear, id recommend the bear legit all day.

Tried several bows in this price range and some a few hundred $ more. This was what I was looking for... good fit and overall performance for the $. So far so good.

This bow is a great shooter with adjustability that allows you to grow with your bow! I am a lady bowhunter and I currently shoot 45 lbs. I'm able to up my poundage as I practice. The draw weight goes all the way from 10-70 lbs, so it's absolutely perfect for many different archers, including women and kids! The draw length is extremely adjustable as well ranging from 14-30 inches.
