We bought the 1866 cowboy gun for our son on his birthday. It is awesome and so fun to shot. He loves it. He is learning how to shot it safely.

This airgun is affordable for lower income families. It's accurate and seems to be well built. My son loved it and for his first gun he was able to operate it with ease.

I received this air gun as a Christmas gift and go outside everyday just to shoot it even though it's not the warmest every day I still go out there to enjoy this wonderful gun it is very accurate and very powerful the sights on it are amazing I really like the gold. If your looking for a wonderful gift go with this.

Both my kids got one for Christmas, and it's a little tough to pull back , but once my son got the hang of it, he was off and a pro! Easy to use and fun!

What's not to like about a classic "Golden Boy" style air rifle? The gun does everything its designed to do, and looks good in the process. The gun even features the octagonal barrel that the original is famous for. While I have original Golden Boys, I can say that this air rifle gets used more frequently and I have no problem passing this one around at family gatherings. The low price point makes the air rifle affordable for any air gun enthusiasts. If your on the fence about this one, take the chance and I am sure you will be pleased with this beauty from Barra.

My grandson was very excited and pleased with this purchase. Authentic look and feel, sturdy built. The only comment I can say is read the booklet, we tried multiply times to fire the weapon without reading the book, with no success. Once I read it, it was clear how to prep and fire this weapon. Old dogs do need to learn new tricks, at least read the literature prior to operation. All in all, we are very pleased with our purchase.

I bought the Barra 1866 for my son for Christmas. I am impressed with the feel and accuracy of this gun. My son is very pleased and I am sure he will be spending more time outdoors.
