I am a rather avid collector but my personal favorite is the 1911 replicas that are as close to there firearm counterparts as possible. This gives you a much realistic experience in training and saving a ton on ammo. When I first saw Barra's version of the 1911 tactical I just had a gut feeling it would be a well made air gun. It didn't disappoint. It's full metal construction gave it a very good weight and balance. The blowback was was crisp and responsive and gave it a nice feeling of sharp recoil like in the Swiss Arms 1911 try. It was fair when accuracy tested shooting ever so slightly up and to the right. I tested at 15 20,and 25 ft respectively . With a little sight adjustment it performed very well. If your a novice or intermediate shooter you can't go wrong with this gun either adding or starting a collection this 1911 replica fits the bill and is very modestly priced, it's really a nice pistol to own.
Things I would have changed:,Overall very little. As I did say above mine did shoot just very small deviation of high and slightly right but the was easy to remedy once you readjusted and went thru a few mags. I'm really a stickler when it comes to any loose rattling sounds but I'm really OCD about so the tolerances I'd like to see a little tighter but it would most likely no bother most people. Well it's a very good pistol and well worth the price
What others should know:Exercise extreme caution.if shooting outdoors. This is a replica and a very well made one. Law enforcement will think it is a firearm!!! So as always practice safe carrying and shooting at all times

I bought this gun in December and within a couple weeks it fell apart. The whole gun started to rattle. The iron sights fell off, the slide rattled, the attachment rail doesn’t secure attachments, the safety was loose, etc. It had amazing power and realism to it.

Awesome and Fun Gun! I love this Gun! it looks real, feels real, shoots great, just really nice! the Weight is nice, the look is great, the operation has been smooth from day1! I genuinely like this Gun! accuracy seems pretty good as well! I think the only thing I would call a con is the ability to disassemble it like the 009 (remove the slide to get to internal parts) . but then again if it never has an issue then there is no reason I guess, the 009 had an issue for me on the first cart of bb's but this one has work flawless from out of the box!

Just bought the pistol and I was impress on the detail and the build quality. The attention to detail and materials are superb. Highly recommend for shooting training as it simulate the real gun in terms of wight.

Overall well made replica, and I have eight other 1911’s. Good sights with white dots, and reasonably accurate but not the best.
Things I would have changed:Better reliability. This one failed to fire after a couple hundred rounds. Since it was out of warranty I took it apart and discovered that the grip safety wasnt engaging the transfer bar so in effect the safety was “on”. Somehow the grip spring was distorted. I adjusted the spring and now works again. FYI, I have since tried replacing the spring from a 1911 firearm. Even though they are visually very similar, dimensionally they are not, so they will not interchange. Also, this gun comes apart the same as the firearm, so YouTube has plenty of videos.
What others should know:I have had a very bad experience with the the extended service/warranty contract company. I didnt purchase it for this particular gun, but for several other purchases. Thankfully, PyraMydAir stepped up and made it right, but they shouldnt have to foot the bill for someone else. My suggestion is if you buy an extended contract you call the contract people and verify when their liabilty begins. Don’t wait until you have a claim and then have them tell you the gun has a one year manufacturer warranty when it is really only 60 days. They (the contract company) won’t change it. As I said, PyraMydAir stepped up. Thank you, James.

Most people buy blowback replicas for it's realism and function. Out of the many that I have collected through the years which mostly if not all sadly ended up just for display now. (Should've just bought the non-blowbacks...much cheaper.) Anyway, only two survived...(I can't mention the model nor the company maker here). Did I say two ? Well now it's three. This Barra 1911 is truly outstanding by design. Buy it with an extra magazine for insurance because the heart of the gun is in the magazine. The gun itself is quality built to last forever. This one is a keeper. Take it from me..just get one..you'll be glad you did. On another note...notice how Barra has only a few in there line up and if you look closely to all of them by design, you'll understand why this is and it wont be long before they'll be on a league of there own. Barra I like where your headed and I'm looking forward to see you out there more distinguished. BTW just got my 400E..and I'm still in the clouds...but that would be on another review...only this time I'll stick to the gun alone in detail. Got this product two days ago. Looks and feels real, did some target practicing so far no complains except it will deplete the CO2 faster. Blowback feature comes with that little price but I am happy to see it looks real every time I pull the trigger. Not to mention this is my first gun after taking basic firearm class and will go for this gun if I have to own one.

This gun has a very nice realistic feel to it. I appreciate the fact they put a Picatinny rail on this 1911 as well so I could put a sight on it. I showed my friend this gun and he purchased it because of how great it seemed. He was not disappointed. One of, if not the best 1911 bb gun there is.

The full blow back give a realistic feel, but does not rob the CO2 economy. Accuracy is great. I was able to hit a can consistently out to 25-30 yards.

It's like having a real 1911 on your hands, the materials have the best quality, the blowback gives you a real gun firing sensation, the only thing that I would improve its the way you reload the bbs on de magazine, but is a perfect co2 pistol.

I will start off by reccomending this product, but not for aim practice. The accuracy of this 1911 is inconsistent at best, even if you allign the iron sights perfectly every time. Another quality about this airgun that I am displeased with is the greasing. I have had to regrease the slide and barrel about twice despite not using the gun often, the factory application makes parts scratch together which wears away paint, and makes a scratching sound. It is realistic, and overall a good build quality. I would reccommend this.

The kws bb pistol is equipped with a hop up. It puts backspin on the bb so it's a little more accurate. The gun wants to twist so I have to get use a firmer grip. Everything could be more reasonable with prices. 80 would be more reasonable. This is a fun plinker. Well made. I plan to pierce and release the CO2 with the clip inside the gun to avoid the freezing cold gas getting on my hands.
