Great value, gun grouping right out of the box, had it zeroed with less than ten shots. Put three in the same hole with H&N slugs at 60 yards. Like it pretty good , my only .25 cal.
Things I would have changed:Wish they made a lefty. Magazines are extremely tight and that could be an issue for someone like my grown son that has strength and dexterity issues and I was hoping this might be a good fit for him considering its much lighter than my Marauder.

.25 avenger first 100 shots all over dont know why even with donny moderator but after that its drilling a hole shooting on backyard very quiet with a 40$ moderator this shoots better than my .22 marauder with expensive barrel now i love this toy 2200 on reg 2 1/2 back from max on spring jsb 25.39 just making one hole with no flyer so far 300 shots on it got 5 mags hook up on scuba bottle for all day long shooting got the refurb too cant beat the price on value of the gun everything flowing smoothly so far thanks pyramyd air very good deal
Things I would have changed:Big air bottle for plinkers like me lighter trigger with no first stage for me
What others should know:This is a hunting plinking gun for those who like power and accuracy what i look for very happy shooting same hole 30 yards backyard easy to make it quietall you hear is when you hit the target

Price of Course. 10 rounds instead of the 8 my .25 Seneca Eagle Claw has. Side lever. Light Weight, and don't have to worry about scratching stock - Much lighter than my Seneca- The Seneca is a bit too heavy for me to freehand shoot with with much accuracy- the Avenger seems much easier- Very Very Accurate, even though I'm a horrible shot. The shot count.
Things I would have changed:The Pellet Probe- make it more aligned with pellet chamber. Hardier seal rings for it. Maybe 2 Barrel Bands. More Sound dampening, although it is much quieter than my Seneca .25 a Bit Better Gauges External Hammer Spring Adjustment like the Seneca Eagle Claw has- great feature, no allen wrench needed on that gun! A Lanyard for the pressure Release Screw hole- I expect I'll lose the tiny rubber plug n a few more hours of shooting-
What others should know:Only had 2 days now- Very Very Accurate. Dropped Reg Down to 1900 approx. (Hard to be precise with small gauge) and hammer spring only 1/4 turn as i was trying to get below 900 fps for plinking and shot count, but didn't succeed at reg @ 1900- Getting around 925 fps average, with deviation of 4 so far, but I've only shot it twice now- once at stock reg, and once @ new 1900 reg. Things I've notice so far = Lever Probe not very smooth at all, and have to push lever hard sometimes, and you can feel something catching- probably the probe seals? Maybe this will break in with time- i don't know, but i've had pellets only go partially in, and i felt like it was gonna break the lever, so i stopped- but then the magazine jams, and very hard to get magazine out- i think maybe the pellets don';t always feed straight, and probe deforms them a bit? Trigger seems fairly ok- might have to adjust it a little- It's holding air so far- More later

The Avenger has potential for accuracy and power. However, I had a problem with an erratic POI change. When it was shooting to POI, the accuracy was excellent. The POI shifts were unpredictable and wide. Sometimes I would keep shooting and not readjust and the POI would shift back to the original POI. This happened with three different scopes. The POI would shift between cold and hot weather. The only pellet that was accurate in my test was the Crossman 14.3 grains. When not shifting, they were excellent. Accuracy from other pellets including my stock of H&N pellets were not acceptable. My suspicion it had something to do with the fit of the barrel and shroud. I was reluctant to start working and experimenting on a new air rifle. The barrel was cleaned. Customer service was excellent in their efforts to help solve this issue but nothing worked.
Things I would have changed:I would like to see it transformed into a $2000 air rifle and still be charged only $350 but this is not possible. The Avenger must be accepted for what it is. Accuracy is my priority and overall it failed me on that.
What others should know:The Avenger has been shipped back to Pyramyd Air for an exchange. They received it Friday. I will be updating this review when the new Avenger arrives and after my testing.

After several months of debating the pros and cons of moving into PCPs, I finally ordered the Air Venturi Avenger rifle. I got the rifle unboxed and started modifying it with a bipod and a scope. I set up a blank poster board with an "X" in the middle about the size of a nickel with hopes that I could, at least, catch the first hit so that I could start zeroing in the scope. The first shot was dead center in the middle of the "X". I have a magic rifle!!!! Now, if I just had scratch and sniff pellets that smell like cordite when you shoot them.....hmmmmm.
Things I would have changed:Nothing. Great entry level PCP
What others should know:Ask the folks at Pyramyd before you buy. I must have moved four or five different PCP rifles into and out of my wish list before I finally purchased. The research on customer comments were a great help but it was the input from the folks at Pyramyd that drove the decision to buy this rifle. I glad I took their advise and guidance.

Accuracy, number of shots per full, ability to fine tune. Very smooth action. Not too loud.
Things I would have changed:The trigger is ok, but could use improvement. The magazine is its weakness. My first two quit working within two days. Tech support sent two new replacements. One of them failed on my first attempt to load. Spring attachment is the issue.
What others should know:My .177 is a tack driver. You should really have a compressor to fill. IMHO

Lightweight. Biathlon style side lever. I'm not too sure about the accuracy yet because of other issues and inclement weather.
Things I would have changed:Our expert technicians inspect, repair, test and re-inspect each and every open-box and refurbished airgun, airsoft gun and airgunning accessory here to ensure it leaves our warehouse fully functional. The statement on your website is a lie. As soon as I took the gun out of the box I was not able to open the bolt easily. When I pulled it back with a little extra force I saw that there are o-rings were already cut! They really should have a baffle system included. I'd be very curious to know what exactly was the item that needed refurbishing. I could see the screw marks on the scope rail so I know it's been used. Both manometers were at 2500 PSI and I wonder if the regulator leaks the main tank will go to the regulator pressure after a while.
What others should know:I think I would buy a service contract. It shouldn't be necessary and probably be an expense for shipping and I usually take care of my own guns with a tear down and replace o-rings and remove burrs from the manufacturing process myself. I like the side lever and the lightweight and the high fill pressure but I might just send this thing back for a total refund if I see that it's leaking and I will know that tomorrow because I'm going to let it sit for two days. I checked the manometer yesterday after filling it all the way to 4350 PSI and I took a couple shots and brought it to 4,000 even and when I looked at it this afternoon it looked like it was 150 psi lower and if it's lower again tomorrow it's going back!
If you claim that expert technicians check things and check them again how could you possibly not notice that the probe o-rings are damaged and the probe would barely move?!@&$

This rifle is a bargain gem! The regulator ups the performance enormously and the 300 bar fill is quite amazing. Even with factory settings, I get 8 magazines worth of good clean shots: 80 shots on a fill from my 22 caliber. Good clean shots that go into a 1" dot at 50 yards, and often several in the same hole. It seemed hard to believe, but the chronograph and the targets do not lie. And it can reach out to 100 or 120 yards if I do my part. I have had no problems with it, unlike some others I have had, and best of all, the ground squirrel population on my property is shrinking rapidly. I do recommend buying at least 8 mags to obviate the need to fill mags in the field.
Things I would have changed:It's a little embarrassing to even ask for upgrades on this value, but an adjustable cheekpiece would be agreeable, and maybe a storage compartment in the buttstock to hold magazines. I may machine the stock to hold mags. Need room for at least 8!
What others should know:A little heavy for off-hand shooting by the time you get it scoped. Mine likes Crosman Premier HP 14 grains and Air Arms Diabolo Field Heavy 18 grains. Pellets lighter than 14 grains go supersonic and CRACK, even with the suppressor. And yes, the DonnyFL suppressor and its extended adapter DO make the rifle shoot noticeably tighter groups.

Plenty of shots and power per fill. Lever cocking is smooth. The gun cycles flawless. A 10, A+. I like it so much I bought the .177, .22, and .25 cal. Light weight also. I love these guns :)

Things I like: 1. It is a PCP AirGun (PreCharged Pneumatic AirGun. 2. It is very inexpensive. 3. It is accurate 4. It appears to be well made.
Things I would have changed:Things I would Change: 1. I would like to see a couple more inches on the barrel and shroud so a moderator (silencer) could be screwed on without interfering with the quick-connect refill nozzle. As it is now, you need to buy an adaptor for a moderator or unscrew the moderator to fill it. 2. I wish the factory had sent the stock Avenger with the regulator adjusted down a tad bit more (maybe 2400psi or 2500psi vs. the 2900psi that is set from the factory), because the maximum fill pressure is 4300 psi and shooting .25 Caliber, 26 gr. pellets gives you about four (8 round) magazines before the trigger regulator pressure hits the 2900psi mark. After that the pellets start dropping (at a 50 yard target). I have seen a few videos with people mentioning the Avenger shoots much more efficiently (while maintaining accuracy) at around 2400psi to 2500psi set on the trigger regulator. 3. I wish they held even more air (so hauling a compressor out in the woods would not be necessary).
What others should know:This is my second air rifle. I own a Gamo Viper .177 cal (1,000fps, break barrel, a single shot loader). Because the Avenger should be stored with about 1,000psi, you can always leave a mag in the breech and possibly use for home self defense or at least discourage unwanted intruders in your home. (The .25 cal. is a better deterrent than the .177). If the Avenger were available in a higher caliber, (.30 cal or .35 cal.), I would buy one in a heartbeat! I am very satisfied however with the .25 cal and the 3x9x32 Leaper Bug Buster scope on it (normally had for under $100). It is hitting a one inch bullseye at 50 yards 7 out of 8 shots using Benjamin .25 Cal 27.8 gr domed pellets. (The only pellets I could find at the time of purchasing my gun and the only pellets I have shot so far. (200 pellets per tin and I am only on my second tin). Other pellets now available but in limited quantities.
My neighbors, (twin college boys) shot 3 mags each yesterday and now want one!

Air venturi's Avenger in 25 caliber is one fine air rifle. I set my regulator to 2400 psi and I'm getting good shot counts, outstanding accuracy and plenty of power. I am not a great shot but I can repeatedly put pellets through the same hole. I needed more power than my 22 caliber PCP for raccoon hunting and this rifle fits the bill in a big way

I bought a Hatsan Flash .25 cal 2 years ago thinking it was the best I could get for around $300. I wanted something with a little more power, so I bought a Seneca Eagle Claw, but it was so heavy and I couldn't cock the lever. Sent it back. Then I tried the Benjamin Marauder with the bolt action in the rear, couldn't cock it either. Sent it back. So I wrote Pyramyd Air and asked what else was available with a bolt action that was also light weight. The fellow said try the AV Avenger. Should have bought one in the first place. This is one sweet rifle. I just got it today and have shot maybe 60 shots through it. Refilled once, Great lever action, great trigger, overall great rifle. More powerful than my Flash, and adjustable. I don't know if I'll mess with what works so well.
Things I would have changed:I've only had it a short time and I don't know if I'd change anything.
What others should know:If you're looking for an expensive "starter" rifle look no further. I balked at first because it's a chinese product, but it seems as well made as my Flash. I sent two rifles back and had no issues with Pyramyd.

I like that it is regulated and that I can turn it down to 1200psi. I have the .22. The cocking lever is much better than a bolt. I have shot about 400 crosman domes and it is accurate. When I see a fly land on my target and am able to nail it from 30 yards. Lucky shot but very fun. Light weight. Single shot tray. The Picatinny Rail on the bottom of the stock. The feel with my scope attached is really good. Price!!
Things I would have changed:Im not a big fan of the composite scope rail.

Many features for its price range. Very accurate. 1/4 in 25 yds. 1/2 in at 50 yards. 1 1/2 at 100 yards mainly because I could not see target very good at that distance. Can easily hand pump to 3500 psi . Has UTG 3-9 mil dot scope, Donny FL adapter and Sumo suppressor. Very quiet and accurate with this setup.
Things I would have changed:Nothing
What others should know:.177 JSB Exact heavy Diablo 10.34 were the most accurate with H&N Baracuda match 10.65 gr. A close second. Tried some gamo magnum energy 7.56 gr. But they were all over the target so much so I thought something came loose. Went back to Jsb,s and H & N,s and all was OK Again. Regulator set between 1800-2000psi. This is my first pcp so I can only imagine how accurate the more expensive guns are.

The side action is very convenient, and the dual gauges makes adjusting easy!
Things I would have changed:-I would like the action to be a little smoother, and the magazine fit is rather tight. -Its definitely louder than my marauder, I would try to quiet it down a bit.
What others should know:There are a couple things that could be better, yes. But at a lower price point the consistent accuracy from the avenger more than makes up for its shortcomings.
