    Things I liked:

Price is irresistible. Incredibly good rifle. Pyramid has alot of experience with this rifle. I have confidence in Pyramid and Air Venturi, enough to buy a refurbished rifle. I haven't received it yet hence the no accuracy rating.

    Things I would have changed:

My mind on caliber when I first ordered, canceled, reordered. Pyramid took it in stride.

    What others should know:

Read the 7 articles in the "review article latest buzz" link on the product page. Be warned, you will most likely buy one if you don't already own one.

    Things I liked:

The rifle is accurate right out of the box. There is no hype with this rifle. Every good thing you heard is true. Tunable, side lever cocking, good trigger, affordable price.

    Things I would have changed:

Only problem I have is filling it up. My DonnyFL suppressor has to be removed before filling it. Also adding a adjustable cheek riser would be nice or put it on an AR platform that would be so cool. It would be like an affordable FX IMPACT or RAW chassis.

    What others should know:

I watched alot of U tube to get reviews on rifles and have found that when ever the host thanks some sponsors it's a bias review.
I prefer guys who spend their own money and truly give an honest review. But this gun IS the real deal. It is like an affordable FX.

    Things I liked:

Combo sale: Avenger Hawk 4 x 12 optic Plano hard case Silhoutte target set 20 shots for $20 included with sale. Sighted in.

    Things I would have changed:

First rifle had pressure leak down...few calls and emails exchanged and new rifle does not leak.

    What others should know:

Used a Buckrail.com suppressor $25 made in Texas.
Excellent rifle that I think I will enjoy tuning for plinking and varmint hunting.
1700 on regulator has good power with lot of shots. Pellets and slugs both seem good in Avenger.
Various .22 pellets and .216 & .217 slugs fired well.
.218 slugs had to be punched back out with cleaning rod...so chamber is tight.
Even Crossman 14.3 hollowpoints hit hard out of this rifle.
    Perfect mushrooms were recovered.
    Well pleased.

I use an SCBA tank and can see tethering at range a great option since rifle is capable of 300 BAR capacity.
A fill gives plenty of shots though if regulator pressure is not set high.
Arrived with a 2700 setting. About 60 shots from 4300 fill.
Around 100+ at lower 1600psi regulator setting.
Still tuning hammer spring and regulator settings.

    Things I liked:

Very Light Very Accurate Very Adjustable Noise level is for the most part backyard friendly.

    Things I would have changed:

Flimsy stock material. Needs mag holders like their Bullpup. Magazines and magazine well size is too short for longer pellets, also this makes it slightly more difficult to shoot slugs using the single shot tray with my old overworked fingers.

    Things I liked:

I like just about everything about this gun ! I have 4 Weihrauch Springers and have been shooting some since 1977. My Beeman R1 is worth about $800. This AV Avenger .25 is more than twice as powerful, it's more accurate, and cost 1/2 as much! I have one target shot at 25 yards that has 5 3 shot groups on it. All the groups have at least two shots touching, and there are two groups that have two pellets thru the same hole. All groups were under 3/8"! I bought the gun to hunt pests with and am looking forward to a trip to Florida to see My Bro and shoot as many Iguanas as humanely possible in a week. I mounted a Czech Made 2-6X scope on the gun which weighs 8 oz. and is more than enough for this gun. The gun weighs 6 lbs. 12 oz. set up with Scope and Sling. All I have done to my gun is clean the barrel! Will be working on tuning it soon.

    Things I would have changed:

I would like to see some other variations of the Wood Stock. I shot one with a Wood stock before I bought mine and it was a little heavy for my taste. All the wood stocks are the exact same color and have absolutely no visible grain structure at all. Also I would like to see Air Venturi publish an "Instruction Booklet" on how to tune the gun for various levels and how to go about doing it properly. There is lots of info on You Tube but I feel the "real instructions" should come from the company.

    What others should know:

I had been looking at lots of PCP Airguns before I bought this one, a few shots with a friends gun sold me. If you are interested in a PCP Airgun you can't go wrong with one of these. especially for $350 !!! Better hurry before Pyramyd Air figures out they are worth more !

    Things I liked:

Side lever bolt is ultra cool; dual regulator and trigger adjustments are outrageous; the accuracy is phenomenal; I get 40 shots from a 3500 psi charge before pressure begins to fade. I ordered the wood stock. I hardly even aim anymore, just point, pull and stuff falls!!

    Things I would have changed:

Make it available with a wood stock.

    What others should know:

Most fun you'll have for the $$. I don't even aim anymore, just pull the trigger and stuff falls down.

    Things I liked:

the charging bar, the regulator, the power, the trigger, the accuracy are all top notch. it shoots VERY small hole at 15 yds. haven't put many rds. thru it but it will surely amaze me. i didn't think the chinese could produce this quality in a pcp but they did!!!

    Things I would have changed:

    nuttin

    What others should know:

i filled it to 200 bar and reg set at 1800 psi and i think it's near the sweet spot for 15.89 gr. pills with hammer spring in 1 1/2 turns in (very stiff to turn). it's definately a medium noise maker. the gun came at 8:30 tonite and the boss said knock it off at 10:00 so i didn't have a chance shoot many but 5 shots to zero and 5 shots in a very very small hole and chuckled all the way to living room from the garage. my stormrider, 2 hatsan flash qes, and this avenger have sworn me off break barrels for good

    Things I liked:

Bought the .22 cal version in 2020. Read some extensive reviews before purchasing, and followed their guidance on how to proceed with pressures and settings and pellet choices. After 2 years I can say only the best accolades about this air gun. Mounted a Hawke 3-9x scope, sighted it in, and it has been unfailingly accurate: 1 ragged hole @ 25 yards with JSB Exact 18.13 g pellets. I use a hand pump to power it, a relatively inexpensive item bought on Amazon, quite a workout to pump it up, but effective: from zero, 100 strokes to 2,000 psi, 120 to 2,500, and 155 to 3,000. The best part - it holds a charge - indefinitely! I pumped it up to 3,000 psi in April, 2022, went to my summer home and left it in the safe, returned in December 2022, still at 3,000 psi! I set the regulator at 2,000 psi and get over 50 shots before the reservoir drops to near 2,000 and I need to pump it up again. I chronographed it when I first bought it, regulator set to 1800 psi, average 850 fps.

    Things I would have changed:

The magazine is very fussy, if using longer pellets they need to be seated very carefully or the magazine won't advance. Damaged skirts on the pellets have the same effect. Stock is hollow and noisy, I followed advice from an owner who suggested using spray foam blown into it to deaden the noise, it works!

    What others should know:

Far and away the most accurate and dependable air gun I've ever owned, and for the $, the buy of the century! I have several .22 rimfire target rifles that cost 10X as much and don't shoot any better at 25 yards.

    Things I liked:

The Avenger Is the absolute best at this price level. Great Accuracy

    Things I would have changed:

The Stock is too light and needs a mm or two of additional material thickness. This would really improve the feel and balance. While doing this.. may as well as put a couple mag holders like the Bullpup version.

    What others should know:

With the discount was $311 to my door.

    Things I liked:

Accuracy power of the Air Venturi Avenger

    Things I would have changed:

I paid for the 10-for-$10 test but still received an air rifle that has a leak and what I think I would have done defiantly would be to have bought a new rifle Instead of buying a refurbished rifle. I would have also bought 2 Air Venturi Avenger rifles one in .25 cal again and one in .22 cal. It doesn't do any good to report to pyramyd air (March 28, 2022) that you have a slow leak but I still think the 10 for $10 test is good for the chronograph test.

    What others should know:

I ordered this Refurbished Air Venturi Avenger PCP Air Rifle .25 caliber back in March 22, 2022 it has a slow leak about 75 psi per day but I love this rifle and would buy it again but a new one instead of refurbished. So far I have shot 3 tins of 27.8gr Benjamin 200 pellets, 1 tin of 24.70gr Vortex Strike 200 pellets, 1-1/2 tin of 35.8gr Seneca Hunting pellets Domed 100 pellets, 1/2 tin of 43.2gr Seneca Hunting pellets Pointed 83 pellets, 2 tins of 26.24gr H&N Crow Magnum 200 pellets, 1/4 of 26gr FX Hybrid Slugs 100 pellets, so I have shot over 1,200 .25 cal pellets with this rifle and the best pellets for accuracy that I have shot would be the 27.8gr Benjamin pellets and the best hard but somewhat accurate pellets if you weight them first would be Seneca Hunting pellets these will go thru 1 inch of yellow pine and 1-1/4 inch of eastern red cider.

    Things I liked:

I bought an Avenger 2 years ago from Pyramyd. Very nice rifle. But my son in law saw it, now it's his. But I saw the ad from Pyramyd about Cerakoting. I got to thinking. And they offer tuning. My first Avenger made 39 FPE at 735 fps. The new, after the power tune made 49, at 828. I turned up the hammer spring, now it gets 58.8 at 887! At 50 yards it still gets 3/4 inch 20 shot groups. The Cerakoting is a ceramic coating, It looks perfect. I am in awe of this rifle! I think I'll retire my Neutron Star. It's rather loud, so I also bought the Donny FL suppressor, the small one, the Sumo. Sounds like a Red Rider BB gun. The Sumo also fits my Neutron Star.

    Things I would have changed:

How do you improve a near perfect rifle?

    What others should know:

One really fine rifle, straight from the box or tuned. Pyramyd offers three different tunes. Cerakoting comes in about 8 different colors. They can coat anything on this rifle. I had the stock colored dark gray and the fill cap, and both rails colored copper. It's even beautiful! I'm handicapped and weight is an issue. I was going to buy it with the wood stock. But that adds near one pound to the rifle. So the plastic stock can be made to order.

    Things I liked:

The tuning, power adjustment features, light weight and option to use a magazine. It has a good low noise level and an accessible trigger. Overall great value, if your even thinking of getting one just do it, you won't regret it. Hey I ordered both, a wood 22 & plastic 177, love them both.

    Things I would have changed:

A little better trigger and ability to de-tune more. With everything at lowest settings still at 900 fps with standard weight pellets & 860 fps with heavy pellets (.177 cal) I will look for a lighter hammer spring for this.

    What others should know:

Some people beef about the plastic stock...hey, you ordered a lighter plastic stock, that's what you got, I think it's very acceptable as is. Some people also mentioned the bolt being slightly misaligned as it closes the breech they must have corrected this or its a random issue as both my 177 & 22 do not have this issue

    Things I liked:

I picked mine in .22 cal up about a year ago now, and its extremely well made for being an entry level PCP. This is the second PCP I've ever owned, my first being a Diana Stormrider Gen 2 in .22 cal, and this gun is worlds ahead of the Stormrider in my opinion. The gun is most comfortable within 80 yards, but 100 yard shots are possible. My pellets of choice are the JSB Jumbo Heavy Diablo 18 grain pellets, however I hope to try out some slugs here soon. I've found that the 18 grain JSB pellets, along with the regulator set between 1600-1800 psi really allows the gun to harmonize and settle in. At 50 yards I'm getting 1-1/2" 10 shot groups, with some fliers here and there, and at 80 yards I'm getting around a max of 3" 10 shot groups. Overall for an entry level gun, you cant get much better than this. Well done Air Venturi!

    Things I would have changed:

Only gripes are the rail for optics, and the side lever cocking handle. I prefer a solid piece of picatinny rail, however the mounting system on the Avenger does just fine. The cocking lever is decent quality for what the gun is and works well, but it isn't an FX. However that's perfectly fine! As this is an entry level gun.

    What others should know:

For a 350 dollar airgun, you cant get much better than this!

    Things I liked:

Light weight. easy to load magazines, easy to cycle the bolt for loading. Sub moa accuracy with cheap Crosman CPUM 10.5g pellets at 915fps and 19.5 fpe.

    Things I would have changed:

Quality control has much improved over the earlier Gen 1s. My Gen 2 in 177 is about two years old so I would expect that the latest Gen 2’s are even better. The older Gen 1’s were awful. I had two and had to return both. Some of the problems included bent bolt probe, no breech lead whatsoever and cocking handle bent due to very difficult cocking. Beware of any Gen 1’s being sold as used or refurbs. That being said my Gen 2 does not have any mechanical issues, EXCEPT issues with magazines. In 177 the internal plastic parts are very small and fragile When I purchased mine, I also bought 2 extra mags and the regulator. One of the mags jammed consistently on shot seven. What I would improve is to make the mags sturdier by making them 7 shot with larger internals or making the circular pellet carrier out of metal

This is the most accurate air rifle I have ever shot sure the fx or some other expensive brands might be mor accurate but for the money you can't beat it. Some people complained about the stock being hollow but I like it and it reduces the weight and I can control my aim better. I bought the 22 cal. I am going to get one in 25 cal.
