Hatsan 1x30 Red Dot Sight Reviews

I put this Red Dot on my Hatsan Velox PCP pistol, so far I am very pleased with the results, it greatly improved the accuracy over stock sights even at 10 yards. I like how fast it turns on, just one klick counter clockwise and a nice instant good size dot, much easier than my $200.00 Sig Romeo.

Good value for price.

Well designed. No parallax error at close ranges. Switches easily between red and green dot without changing zero point. Nice and low to the barrel for minimum parallax hold over problems. Seems solid and holds the 11mm dovetail well. I use it for pest control and small game with good results. Works fairly well in low light conditions.

Wish the light gathering was brighter, it is OK for low light but could be better.

Seems dependable for use on gas/spring piston rifles

I do not like the way it fits on the Diana Chaser, it hangs off of the front. I can barely reach between the site and the loading tray to get a pellet in the gun. It's kind of useless to me for this gun.

Buy it for a gun other than the Diana Chaser

a round 'dot' for the light is what I expected.

with 'dot' in the name, should the red or green indicator a dot? it is a vertical line in my scope. For a target at 25 yard, the vertical line covers a distance of 3 inches on the target. While I can zero in to the top of this 'vertical bar' light, I do feel something is wrong!

That it would actually fit a 11mm rail. This scope does not or at least mine didnt fit the crosman 2240xl.

If you have a 2240xl the. Do not get this scope. Get a trusted brand as this is clearly made in China. No way could this be made in America. If it dont fit then its junk. Not some joe here Im a USMC 2111.

Very affordable, simple to install ( I had none of the problems some of the other reviewers had), the red dot fit perfectly on my 2240 XL, nice adjustability and very bright even in the middle of the day.

Contrary to some of the negative reviews this device fits perfectly on a 11mm dovetail, don’t believe the naysayers.

This sight works perfectly on my Crosman 1322. I use the gun for squirrels at close range (20-30 ft.) And once sighted in, I have a 100% success rate.

Better quality control of shipping. Include lens caps.

Item arrived in torn and opened box with only red dot inside, no literature or lens cloth. I had to use vise grips and channel locks to remove battery cover. Not sure how this was allowed to ship. After repairing marring marks on dot adjuster and battery cap unit seems to be working ok. Adjustment screws were not backwards as some reviews have mentioned.

30 MM lens is nice size

Package arrived torn and open without the lens cloth. Also quality control seems lacking somewhere along the line. I had to use channel locks and vise grips to get battery cover off which did slightly mar the cap surface but I can live with rather than do a RMA. Include lens caps.

Would not buy again as I was really disappointed with torn and open box (without lens cloth no big deal) and a battery cap that was nearly impossible to remove. Mounting system seems good on dovetail. Hopefully adjustments on this are working as they should, Haven't tried to zero yet. I realize this is an inexpensive scope and can't expect too much but really? Limited choices for dovetail direct mount which is why I chose this.

Even on brightest setting, dot is hard to see in daylight. Will not fit on Diana Chaser if using a magazine, due to length of optic. Mounted behind chamber is the only location. Mounted as far back as possible, the optic still protrudes over the loading gate and is low enough that a magazine cannot be inserted. Can still use the Chaser loaded singly. The Hawke 1x20mm is a lot more $, at about $110, but is short enough that it does not interfere with the magazine - and has a brighter dot, lens covers, and a device to try to cut down glare (not sure how well that works yet.) The Hawke 1x20mm is also lighter. The Hawke 1x25 and 1x30 are longer and might have the same issue as the Hatsan.

I bought this for a Diana Bandit (context) : I love the zero magnification because I can use both eyes to see the whole area, I love that the red dot is small but bright even on the lowest brightness. Acquiring the target (rats) and the dot are quick. The optics are large and clear.

A more adaptable mount would be great. Mine sits at the very back of the receiver. Being on a pistol helps by giving extended eye relief. Still the Bandit is a long pistol and somewhat more amidships would make it perfect. Diana could help out here as well but that is a different review.

This sight is perfect for the job. I can see the whole area around the target even in low light I can hit the pesky varmints even on the run.

Right and left adjustment is backward but it's not a problem once you know.

Cost, adjustability, field of view

I need to set illustration to near maximum to see the dot.

Put one on my new Diana Chaser .22 and it compensates well for my old eyes. My first scope of this type. A little learning curve, but, now I'm a real fan.

I have cheap red/green scopes and the dots seem to flare under all power levels. I thought it was my old eyes i'm 70, but i thought i would try a little more expensive unit. It's not my eyes, it was the cheap scopes. This unit is very solid and well built.

Scope lens covers need to be included. Problem is a nice pair of covers almost cost the same as the scope.

If i were you i'd buy this, i think you'd be pleasantly surprised by the quality.

I love this dot sight. It works great, superb quality. The reason this dot sight Is better than any other dovetail dot sight on here, Is because Its dot starts at a very fine 3 moa. This greatly helps with precision and seeing where your hitting. The other dot sights for dovetail on here are 4 moa, 5 moa and bigger.

11mm mount would not close on grooves, tried three pistols- two crossmans and a hammerli 120. the mounts are too wide.
