Great addition to your Barnett crossbow. Very easy to install, although I would recommend installing the ratchet mechanism before installing the spool to prevent accidental pinching of the string by the ratchet's hand. Also, when stowing the hooks after cocking the crossbow ensure you do NOT wind the string tight or it will get pinched between the stock and the guide rollers which will eventually compromise the string, always leave a bit of slack in the string when stowing to prevent this. The only negative is the amount of sound the crank makes when pulling the bowstring back. But, you probably will have the bow already cocked before you get set in your stand or blind so this shouldn't really be an issue.

I ordered this for my Whitetail 2 crossbow. Assembly was pretty easy and it works well. I recommend this for any treestand hunter.

It works well as a cocking device, but once you have it cocked the handle is always in the way so you have to unscrew it and put it somewhere .

My initial impression was that there were a lot of little parts, but it logically all went together without any real difficulty. Getting the factor-installed filler plugs out to be able to start installing the CCD ended up being tougher than the installation.

North Dakota only allows people with upper extremity disabilities to hunt with a crossbow. Unfortunately my disabilities preclude me from cocking a crossbow however the crank cocking device made cocking my Ghost 385 a breeze. The fifth time I crank cocked it I put a bolt through a nice fat whitetail doe. She dropped like a sack of potatoes.

It makes cranking the crossbow so much easier when you have multiple layers of clothes on. When I practice in my backyard during warm weather, using the rope was fairly easy. But, having the crank when the temperatures drop is wonderful.
