Things I liked:

I really like the reticle. I use this for hunting and my casual attempt at field target. The 6-24 will focus down to 10 yards. The 8-24 will only focus down to 15 yards.

Things I would have changed:

I like it just fine like it is.

What others should know:

You will learn a lot in field target that applies directly to hunting.

Things I liked:

Solid construction, turrets turn crisply with positive clicks without play. Clear optics and very good focus the entire range of magnification. Flip open lens covers are convenient.

Things I would have changed:

Better quality control. I got a lemon. Even before mounting, a tap at either end will result in an audible ringing sound inside as if a spring is loose at one end. Tried it on anyway, it zeroed quickly, can put 3 shots out of 5 using Gamo Swarm Magnum with .22 H&N Hornets into the same hole at 25 yards. I could've lived with that noise if the scope stayed zeroed, but it didn't. After 10-15 shots, the zero will shift unpredictably in both windage and elevation. Rezeroed it gave excellent results again, then the same errors repeat after a dozen shots, making it totally unreliable. Tried zeroed 4 times before confirmed it to be non-dependable and unusable considering the price. So I returned it.

What others should know:

Solid construction, quite heavy for the size, small button on bottom of tube under windage and elevation turrets making it unsuitable for the Diana Bullseye ZR (Zero Recoil) mount without drastic shimming or suitable inserts to raise the scope for enough clearance at the bottom.

Affordable Optic that is well worth the price

After mounting on a brand new 22arc, I chronographed the factory 75g loads, entered the data in a ballistic program. With a good 100 yd zero. I was able to dial the settings and make first round hits starting at 350, every 50 yds out to 700 on BC ipsc targets, then finishing at 725 on a full size ipsc. Almost no wind, but the dialing was certainly true, with very clear glass. I have several higher grade Athlon scopes, but this one performed well above my expectations.

    GET ONE!!...

this particular athlon scope is by far the best Scope that I have in my arsenal and I say that gratefully. Considering, I have vortex majority, athlon provides a nice clear view at 50mm takes you out to the distance and beyond I'm very satisfied with the performance, I have it installed on my 308. cal. I will be buying another athlon, for the price range, for what it can do and I strongly urge you to read the manual and the beginners Scopes guide. So, you will understand how to fully optimize and use the scope to his full potential I am still learning but I'm a happy doing so. great quality hardcore material.

Excellent quality glass without a giant price tag.

The clarity of the glass is immaculate. It works exactly as it should. It holds zero and the clicks are crisp and audible. The clicks could stand to be slightly crisper, but that honestly is not picking. It's an amazing product and when you factor in the price it's a no brainer. I'm not going to be one of those people trying to compare it to Leupold, Zeiss, or Nightforce because frankly that is ridiculous. Those are for people with giant disposable income or the most elite shooters with factory sponsorships. For everyday people, avid hunters, or even moderate LRPS shooters, this is more than worhty.

    Not bad for the money!

It’s definitely better than expected for the price. Athlon does a great job getting products to their customers!

    Another Great Product

Athlon has quickly become my go to scope for my hunting rifles. I was instantly impressed with the clarity of this glass. I have another brand of scope that cost twice what this one did and the Athlon is hands down brighter and clearer. Athlon has also stepped up their game with the turrets. I had some earlier models that the turrets did not have a good tactile click or sound. They have solved that issue. F

    good optic

I have owned one for over a year on a 6.5cm, bought a second for 22lr for 200-300yd matches. so far has proven excellent for the small targets up to 200yd.

    Great scope for the price.

Will change review after 1st trip out if I'm dissappinted. If not edited, good buy.

Good optic, perfect for rimfire or short to medium range rifles.

Solid feeling and great tactile adjustments. Little dark and small eyebox at 24 power, but this is to be expected at this price range. Overall satisfied.

    Quality, Affordable Glass

Going into this purchase, I wasn't expecting much. Buying a high quality FFP Mil optic you usually have to spend a good amount of money. I bought this on sale but would absolutely recommend it at MSRP. This optic proved to be a great piece at a great price point. I have had almost nothing bad to say about Athlon so far. The glass is crystal clear, even at 600+ yards. Definitely a great entry level optic. My one complaint is the throw lever on the magnification ring. I enjoy the functionality of it, but it sits in the path of the bolt handle. I won't be using the throw lever, but I will continue to use this optic for years to come. Two thumbs up.

    Verified Purchase

    Things I liked:

There is nothing to not like about this scope. I have three of them.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing

    What others should know:

You get more scope for the money than any other scope at twice the price.

    My favorite glass

I'm on my 3rd Athlon scope now, I am a true believer and convert from Leopold, Sig, and Vortex. For the money, you cant find a better scope. Very well manufactured, with clear glass, and crisp reticle.

    Amazing optic for the money!

This scope has all the features of more expensive high end optics. But the price tag doesn’t reflect that difference. Zero stop, hard click turrets, first focal plane, great reticle and glass. I’m glad I gave this brand a chance, as I’m going to be getting more of these. I’d say that this is a perfect starting point for more precision shooting, or a training rifle. Less cost with the same features as high end optics gets more shooters into the shooting sports or competitive world. This would be a great scope varmint hunting scope or target scope for longer range.

    Great glass

Money paid for the quality I got. Put it on my 7 mm rem mag and it works great.

Second Athlon scope, very happy with it!

Excellent price, especially thru Expertvoice, optics and features really are nicely dialed in, really hard to beat.

    NRL22

I purchased this scope for my NRL22 base class rifle. Ergonomics are outstanding,Tracks flawlessly and glass is good. 18-24 power you will notice a drop in clarity in color and detail but it is definitely the nicest option in the price range. You will have to spend a good amount more to get anything better.

    Affordable long distance fun

I’ve got a lot a different scopes and this one lands itself in a nice category. Low cost and long distance at the same time. Adjustable turrets all the things a shooter needs to fine tune each shot. The glass is good and comparable to like brands at higher costs. This scope would be choice for a guy looking to step up to long distance shooting without braking the bank. He scope will work good on a bolt gun or an ar.

    Great Scope

Great scope. priced right does everything I need. Has a zero stop. Mounted on a cz MTR 22 rifle. I shoot out to 200 yards very easily.

  • Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    GOOD SCOPE

Using on a 22 rifle that I wish to stretch out the distance on. Optics are clear and it sits very well on top of my Savage 22 LR. Will look at having another in the future. Have several Athlon scopes and so far they have not disappointed in clarity or quality.
