Thanksgiving Dinner
If you’re reading this the day it posts, I’m going to take a wild guess that you’re about to take a nap because your belly is fuller than it’s used to being and you don’t feel like toting it around. Am I right? Oh, your family eats a late Thanksgiving dinner! I think you should divorce your family and adopt yourself into mine because we eat at 1:00, then again at 4:00 and yes, again at 7:00. Why wait around all day to eat good food?
Traditions Continue
What does Thanksgiving look like to you? Do you sleep in and wake up to enjoy the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade while keeping a napkin handy to dab the slobber from the sides of your mouth because the house smells so good you can taste it.
Maybe you rise before the sun, then you make an hour drive to the nearest hunting spot, climb the tree with your Excalibur Micro Suppressor Extreme Crossbow and wait for either a deer to come in or your stomach decides it’s time to eat. While you climb out of your stand, you console yourself for leaving empty handed because you’re sure you’ll be back this evening.
Eat What You Kill
Do you like the traditional salt, pepper, and butter flavored turkey or do you like to spice things up? Have you ever heard of Hunt Chef seasoning? They have something for just about anything! Their motto is “Eat What You Kill” so they help spice things up so you can enjoy every harvest. What’s your normal spread or what do you think are staples to a Thanksgiving lunch, dinner, and supper? I’ll share with you mine.

Same Ole’ Same Ole’
Are you a stickler for the “Same Ole, Same Ole”? If so you can live vicariously through me as I describe more options to season some of your Thanksgiving day favorites. If you like to change things up and aren’t afraid of Aunt Louise, maybe you should give the Hunt Chef Feather Duster a try on your bird, in your dressing, mash potatoes, green beans…okay I’m getting a little carried away.
Try It Yourself First
I know it’s too late to try it this year but maybe we should get some and try it ourselves before we force it on everyone. I know you bought an extra bird because they were on sale, don’t use that one. Start small, get yourself some chicken or a turkey breast and experiment away! Don’t forget to let us know what you think.
For now, enjoy the meal and the people you have in front of you, after all remember it is Thanksgiving, a holiday for giving thanks. I’m sure we can all find several things to be thankful for; family, friends, good food, health, home, hunting, hunting, (yes I said that twice), hunting equipment, the ability to choose to stay in the recliner for the rest of the evening, and, and, and! There really is so much to be thankful for, Happy Thanksgiving fellow archers!
