Archery Want In One Hand, Rest In the Other

Want In One Hand, Rest In the Other

In the other hand…

Settling for what?

Settling in, there are a couple different ways to settle right? Settling could mean; “Oh well I guess that’s the easiest and most attainable at this moment, I’ll get that one.” Or it could mean, You’re secure in the decision you’ve made. How often does that happen?

Maybe for you it happens more often than not, you do your research and patiently wait to make your move so you can be absolutely sure it’s the right choice. Then there was that time after hours of deliberation amongst your voices of reason, you placed the Trophy Ridge Sync MD Arrow Rest in your cart and, get this, yes, and you checked out too!

What About the Features?

Why did you choose this one in particular? I believe I overheard you saying you like the drop away arrow rests, even though they’re a little more technical with more adjustments and all around components, they produce some of the best accuracy. I sure hope all the shootists have a goal of consistent accuracy, if not what are we doing here?

A few other features you may have said under your breath, but I failed to hear, are these;

  • Laterally-adjustable arms
  • Removable full containment arm
  • Micro-adjustable windage and elevation
  • Noise-reducing laser-cut felt
  • Includes mounting hardware

On Your Feet!

The decision is made and a few days later while resting your eyes, laid back in your recliner, (we won’t say you were sleeping but you were snoring), you hear a faint knock on your side door. Even though you’ve forgotten how to simply get out of your chair, in a hurry with excitement you accomplish the quickest exit you’ve managed in a very long time and on your feet!

Just as you expected, it’s your Trophy Ridge Sync MD Arrow Rest! You rub your hands together, (of course after you’ve placed the rest on the table) then pull your PSE Uprising Compound Bow down from its designated hanging place by the back door. At that moment no other project or daily activity is more pressing than this!

You’ve Got Mail

Before you get started, you notice you have mail in your inbox, (and you say you don’t get distracted easily), hey it’s Pyramyd AIR! You know they want to say congratulations on your most recent purchase, everyone could use a congratulatory greeting sometimes! That’s when it happened, want in one hand, and rest in the other.

Isn’t that convenient? Upon opening this exciting new email, regret climbs up your throat like a bug and you’re so lost in it, you don’t even try to swallow it down. It’s the brand new Redline Guru Rest, maybe I made a mistake! I should have waited! Hey! Voice of reason, it’s time to chime in! What does the full capture fallaway Redline have to offer?

Then There Was You

  • Durable aerospace-quality internal components
  • Sealed stainless steel bearings and centerless ground axle
  • AAE-exclusive Pig Hyde for silent draws (Voice of reason, leave now!! I have to have it, it has pig hyde!!!)
  • Durable and flexible polymer launcher
  • Delayed Sear System for longer arrow support and 100% clearance
  • Internal anti-bounce back feature
  • 5X longer cycle life than competitors
  • 250,000 shots average lifespan
  • Cable driven
  • Weight: 4.2oz
  • Available for right and left- hand bows
  • Made in the USA

Now you have a decision to make, are you going to rest in your decision and settle with what you’ve got in front of you, shaking off the want that so heavily sets in your hand? After all, the Trophy Ridge Sync MD Arrow Rest is a great choice too? Or are you going to gift your old new one to your niece and fill your cyber buggy up again to get you a rest with pig hyde so even if your snoring isn’t silent your draw can be?

Whatever you do, let there be rest at least in one hand, even if there is want in the other.

    • Ian,

I guess that’s what they call innovation 😉

Sometimes life is filled with a multitude of tough decisions, aw well, we get to make them anyway.

      Thanks for talking to me!

      • While I can no longer shoot a compound or recurve bow, for years I enjoyed both.
My dad started me out early and to enjoy all aspects of the outdoors.

Except crossbow hunting, I just never got into that.

Fishing, bow hunting (both 4 legged and fish), muzzleloaders, airguns, firearms, and just sitting by the fire enjoying the evening.

And sitting on the stand in the morning watching nature greet the day.

I want to see Pyramyd AIR grow in all aspects of the outdoors.

We just need to let more people know what Pyramyd AIR has to offer the outdoorsman (and women.)

        Ian

P.S. I am sure there are many people that read the column but don’t comment.
(On the Airgun side we have MANY lurkers that read but never comment.)

I can’t say anything because I used to be one when the Airgun blog first started…

It would be interesting to see the analytics of your column over time of how many hits you get.

        • Ian,

Sounds like you had a great dad with an appreciation for the outdoors and thanks to him he passed it on to you! I love people that share the outdoors! If I were to speak to your dad, I would give him a thumbs up and tell him good job dad, good job!

I agree with you as I am sure Pyramyd AIR does as well, we absolutely need to let people know more about what they have to offer the outdoorsmen and women! Let’s set an example and do it!

          Thanks Ian!
          All the Best!
