Hatsan BullBoss QE Air Rifle, Wood

I bought the 25 cal and running JSB Hades pellets after running them through a pellet sizer I have been able to take rabbits out to 154 yards.

For the price Hatsan should include the regulator. The safety reset is a pain so I made it not reset every time.

Size your pellets it takes a while but it’s worth the effort.

Wish finish on metal parts was blued like most firearms, finish comes off when wiping gun down with gun oil and white soft cloth. It is very slight but still it shouldn’t come off at all on cloth. Also wish they made it in 30 cal also. Gun would not cycle 10 round magazines completely. Sometimes it would cycle 7 rounds and then stop and I would have to manually move the mag. to the next round and then it would start cycling again. It didn’t matter which mag. I was using. Sometimes it would stop at the 6 round. Even though it was only 1 week old and under warranty I didn’t want to send it back so I was able to find and fix the problem myself.

I would have no problem buying this gun again.

Pyramid Air was awsome Ted was very helpful and friendly. Rifle is very Accurate, cheep to shoot.

Factory test the rifle and magazines before shipping it to distributors or costumer. Too heavy, too loud for the back yard, not crazy about the mounting rail for the optics. Had to buy different mounts for my scope as the weaver style would not mount securely. Not regulated.

First Rifle I received, trigger malfunctioned and jammed the action. The mags don't cycle well, try them first with out loading them to make sure they function properly and do not bind before filling or operating the rifle.

I cannot say I only got a few shots in out of two guns, that were defective, Pyramyd Air was great about the situation that was resolved immediately.

Its a beautiful looking air rifle, looks stout, wood stock, back yard friendly as far as noise and easy to operate.

The side level handle is gritty and not smooth and their is a safety level you always have to disengage before you can shoot for every shot. Its very heavy to start with and when you add a scope, a bipod, it can get as heavy as 10 pounds.

As far as, pyramyd air, they are great to order from and they will answer your call. A great company to trust with your issues over your purchase.

The gun is excellent and the service is better then excellent. Fast responses from pyramdair when I had an issue with what I ordered.

Always call to see what to expect in a box. I thought it came with a Hatsan strap for my Bullboss air rifle but it did not come with one. On YouTube the people said it did.

It's a nice looking gun, too bad I can't charge it with air.

This is the second BullBoss I got the first had a charging issue and the chin pad would not adjust. The second BullBoss is worst than the first, the probe does not fit the hole in the gun. I also notice burrs around the hole for the probe.

Purchase was made 12/31/2021 so shipment was understandably delayed a little, Return shipping label and RMA sent promptly to buyer..

Packaging could have been done with more care: shoulder sling was missing, a mysterious part was included(a tray) was included..

It seemed a lemon was shipped to this buyer: the magazine lock was defective as it did not secure the magazine, as it fell to the floor a few times when the lever was pulled back, the dark brown wood stock belonged on a .25 while my purchased Bullboss was a .22 and the barrel had scratches..

Worked perfectly out of the box. I went around the gun and all the screws were tight. So far I've only fired a couple of dozen .22 pellets getting it sighted in and breaking it in. Weather hasn't been cooperating. I also own the Flash in .22 and it is a hard hitter and I have no problems with its knockdown power. This has a little more power than the Flash and a longer barrel. After filing the air cylinder and after firing 4 or 5 shots, I then sent some pellets through a chronograph and I was getting 1007 FPS about 15 feet from the gun. As usual I'm going to try several different pellet brands and weights. I love the wood stock. But so far where I'm at now with the BullBoss, Pest and Varmits need beware!

A little wider magazine would make it easier to clean the barrel when that comes around. I'm not a fan of the safety being automatically set on after each cocking of the rifle. I'm adjusting to that. Nothing more at this point. I like the rifle.

Very accurate.

Charging handle feels very brittle. Magazine wouldnt Rotate so as to chamber the next pellet. Quite loud. Sound suppression not effective. My Gamo is far quieter.

I had to send it back. Pyramid was very gracious in accepting the return. I will save up and get an FX next.
