*150 shots on a charge is the recommended max. You may find that you can shoot as many as 150 shots, but anything more than that could result in your bolt getting stuck. Colder temperatures will reduce the number of shots you can get from the battery. If you continue to shoot after the battery has lost a significant amount of power, the bolt may get stuck.
**You can also buy an optional 9.6V battery pack but we don't recommend it unless you shoot your gun only in very cold weather (-16 deg. C or +3.2 deg. F).

5 of 5 Evanix Speed PCP Air Rifle, Ambi Thumbhole Stock Reviews
I have the .22 caliber version. This is my 4th Evanix. All bought refurbished with discount and 10 for 10 testing. The stock is very nice, better than my Windy City. The air cylinder and walnut stock give it a nice, traditional look. The accuracy is very good. Shot a ringneck dove this morning at 45 yards. The automatic action. Hard to go back to side lever cocking. The magazines are well made and easy to load. Rarely jams.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe trigger is much like shooting a digital camera - not instantaneous. There is no slack in the trigger, more like a light switch. I spend most of the time reloading :)
What Others Should KnowThe large capacity magazine does not fit! Ball bearing is up too high.
Need a center punch or something to push pellets while loading magazine.
I only use BKL 11mm to Weaver adapters and Burris Signature rings with inserts (a fantastic system for air gunners to correct barrel droop) and Leopold fixed power scopes (6X on this rifle).
I had the .25 cal version. The wood stock looks and feels great. The stock is also quite light and is easily removed via a single hex screw. Powerful- .25 cal version was shooting at an average of 49 FPE. Fun to shoot (when its working)
Things I Would Have ChangedThe premium magazine doesn't sit flush in the breech and is prone to jamming if not perfectly centered. The rifle often requires dry firing in order to remove an empty magazine as the pellet probe often was in the forward position after I was done shooting. The gun is prone to false shots / skipping pellets. Access to the battery is tedious and requires a large screwdriver The battery cables get crumpled due to the tight fit Qality Control is not very good: The barrel was extremely dirty when I unboxed it. Missing a couple of screws. The gun is very loud, even with the built in baffles.
What Others Should KnowThis is a finicky gun. When it shoots well, it's a blast. Unfortunately, mine would routinely jam as the magazine would shift off center pinning the pellet probe against the magazine. The fix required dissasembly the breach to reset the bolt which could lead to even more problems if not performed properly.
Very accurate, good fit and finish, nice wood.
Things I Would Have ChangedNeed outlet for external charging instead of having to remove butt pad. Wire connectors not good, need a better system of connection. Gun slow cycles in cold temps. Even the recommended 9.6 volt battery did not change this. Gun is definately not backyard friendly, loud in my opinion. Gun is also pellet fussy and kodiacs caused mine to lock up. In addition had a tendency to doubletap (two shots fired with one pull of the trigger.
What Others Should KnowShoots JSB Kings Kings (.25) great. Be careful if removing stock as you will have to thread the battery wires back out through the stock. Barrel needs to be cleaned about every 400 rounds.
The power, and accuracy is amazing on this gun. Both in semi-auto and full auto mode out to 100yards. Mine is .25 caliber. I have shot 1500 pellets without any issues. The gun is reliable+not pellet fussy. Not to mention built solid with good quality. Out of all my other pcp airguns. This one is my favorite. I liked it so much that I bought two of them and can't wait for my .25 Max bullpup too..
Things I Would Have ChangedI wish Evanix made a 15, or a 20 shot magazine..

I purchased a refurbished .25 version and I love it. Used a Gamo spring piston for years for varmit control. Wish I'd gone to a PCP years ago. Accurate and easy to use. Only shot 80 rounds so far but have had no problems with magazines, double taps, or miss fires. The trigger pull is different but no problems adapting to it. If any thing, the trigger system reduces my chances of a flier. Seriously thinking of buying a .22 version as well. Did some searching for other brands of semi-automatics PCP air rifles. No doubt Evanix and Pyramydair gives the best value for the money.
Things I Would Have ChangedAdd a sling swivel.
