Description
Wave goodbye to scuba tanks and handpumps forever with a compressor built to go anywhere you can—the Air Venturi Nomad II.
Boasting big features in a small package, the Nomad II is a compact compressor that can be powered from any 110 or 220V outlet. But don’t feel the need to stay put! If you have a car, you have a fill source, as the Nomad can also operate from a 12V car battery—a real lifesaver for PCP gunners filling up at the range or in the field. No matter where your airgunning takes you, the Nomad II will keep you aired up and ready to shoot.
If that wasn't enough, the Nomad II has built in LED lighting on the bottom of the unit, so even when light is fading, your air supply never will. And with the addition of the built in power supply and the included travel bag, the Nomad II is easily the most portable air compressor on the market.
Whether filling a PCP airgun from empty or just topping off, the Nomad II fills quickly and efficiently. When tested, our Nomad II was able to fill a 250cc cylinder from 0 psi to 3000 psi in as little as 9 minutes. The adjustable, automatic shut-off allows you to set the compressor to the exact fill pressure of your gun (up to 4500 psi) and the unit stops when that pressure is reached.
The Nomad II lets PCP airgunners break free of stationary fill sources forever! Become your own mobile air powerhouse with the Air Venturi Nomad II Compressor.

Very reliable up to about 300 Bar. Mine lasted 17 months, properly maintained.
Things I Would Have ChangedMaintenance does nothing to improve lifespan.
What Others Should KnowNo better than cheaper products
Aesthetics, looks good with a painted carbon fiber look
Things I Would Have ChangedItem didn't last as long as it should for the price. Used for just over a year, adding silicon oil as needed and only filling my maurader and FX Impact, no tanks, and always allowing a cool down period.
What Others Should KnowAt just over the one year mark, I noticed the pump taking longer to fill my Maurader and FX Impact, a few weeks later the pump would not get above 500 psi. Warranty is only good for one year, so at the 14 month mark I'm just out.
Engineered to keep it running and safe. User maintenance procedures easy to follow. Runs pretty quiet and fills fast.
Things I Would Have Changednon I can identify at this time.
What Others Should KnowIt monitors its stress levels. Mine has not had to shutdown over one hour of use. Expensive but you get what you pay for.
I have waited to write this review in hopes I could shed some light to those who wonder about the nomads longevity. Thus far, with 60 fills on my 2 prods, usually back to back fills, I have had no issues. Fill times have remained the same, and load meter has not gone above 24. The package it was shipped in was amazingly stout with plastic straps and thick waffle cardboard sides. Was very happily surprised about that. Upon receiving the nomad I read through the instructions thoroughly and also referenced YouTube videos that were very helpful in learning the machine and maintenance procedures. First thing, I had read another customer doing, was perform the lubrication maintenance process to insure the system well lubed and operating smoothly, and used the Hill silicone oil recommended. I have also kept track of fills so I can be sure to add silicone per so many fill and purge the system as stated in the manual. This has made shooting so much more fun and effortless. Absolutely love it!!
Things I Would Have ChangedPrice could be a bit cheaper
What Others Should KnowIf you follow the manual and take care of it, it will take care of you. I believe maintenance and care as with everything is key
I do not have to use the Hand Pump! :)
Things I Would Have Changed?
What Others Should KnowThe operation is pretty easy.
Great at first. I bought it to pump up the Avenger I purchased with it. Worked beautifully first three times. Hooked it up. Opened vent. Turned on compressor closed the valve and nothing. Guage won't even budge. I'll be personally returning it as I live near by Keep you posted how this goes.
Things I Would Have ChangedLast a little longer
This Compressor is just what I needed. I Have the Challenger Pro .30 Cal. and an Ataman M2R .25 Cal. and pumping them is a Chore, Especially when you are Going up to 4500 psi. Takes just 9:00 minutes to fill the Challenger Pro from 2000 to 4500 psi. I Hope it Holds up, $800.00 is Not Cheap.
Things I Would Have ChangedLonger fill hose and fill the empty Bottle with Silicon oil that the Compressor comes with.
What Others Should KnowIf you have a Gun that holds More than 3000 PSI. Like the ones that hold up to 4500 PSI, You will Appreciate this Compressor. ALWAYS REMEMBER to bleed the Air from the Compressor Before you Start it back up Under Pressure, Very Important or YOU WILL Burn the circuit Board.
So far, works as promised. I filled an AirForce Talon from 1000 PSI to 2500 PSI in 13 minutes. And that was at my mountain home at 10,000 ft in elevation. Unit is quiet and simple to use.
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing i'd change.
What Others Should KnowWay better than a hand pump or a shop compressor booster (had one of those, didn't work as well)
I like that you can hook this to your car battery, I have been going to the range 5 days a week for the last 3 months and I pump my air guns up 3 to 4 times every time I go and it has not let me down yet the range has power so I have not had to use the battery hook up yet
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing
What Others Should KnowI dont l let my gun get past 170 bar before I fill it up, most of the time I fill it up around 180 bar 4 to 5 minutes, I fill it up to 250 bar
