Things I liked: Wow, nice looking gun. This one will make your buddies week in the knees. The SS in .22 I received was perfect both metal and wood. The Center Point scope of course is top notch although the lighted cross hair is something I will probably never use it is sorta cool. The mil-dots however are a very nice touch.
Out of the box velocities as follows. Beeman H&N Match, 887 fps. Beeman Crow Mag 783 fps, Crossman Competition 875 fps and the Lead Free Benjamin pellets that came with the gun came out at a whopping 1163 fps. These were all 10 shot averages. I am impressed at how tight velocities actually were. 6 fps was the max spread in all 10 shot test groups with the exception of the Lead Free Benjamin where the 10 shot spread was over 100 fps. At this point I am still evaluating accuracy but it looks like the heavy Beeman Crow Mags are the only pellet I have tried that will group consistently. The lead Free (1163 fps) pellets should be saved for shooting the next elephant you see but please wait until he's about three yards out or you might miss him. Bottom line is the Lead Frees go fast but shoot poorly so try the heavy pellets and you should do okay!
Things I would have changed: Hands down "Auto Safety" In my opinion all guns should have an Auto Safety and I would have used a better trigger.
The Trigger, Hum? Anybody have a winch or a sturdy come-along? Come-on Benji, for this nice of a gun the trigger is fundamentally WRONG! None the less I did manage to accomplish .45" groups at 35 feet using the heavy Crow Mag pellets. It takes a little getting used to but you can make it shoot right out of the box. Trouble is that after 300 shots my right index finger looks like it belongs to the Incredible Hulk. Oh well things could be worse. The good thing is that a local Air-gun dealer has a machined aluminum match quality trigger he will install and adjust to break clean at less than 3 pounds for under $50. This is the same trigger used to upgrade the Gamo Shadow platform, which by the way now shoots .25" groups at 35 feet all day long. I think the Silver Streak has potential with heavy pellets so I will make that investment soon. The (4) on my overall rateing is for the trigger, otherwise I would have maked all 5's.
What others should know:Remount the scope and use a low strength Thread Locker on all screws. Make sure the scope stop pin is snuggly in the hole provided and use Thread Locker on that also. This Gun shoots hard so know what's down range. This gun is also very loud when using the lightweight lead free pellets but don't worry about that so much because the elephant will be getting all the attention. I will touch bases again on accuracy after my SS broke in and cleaned. I'm at about 400 shots now and she's settling down nicely. Bullseye.
This gun is a heavy weight but I'm okay with that as I believe the added weight makes any gun more stable for bench shooting. The SS is also heavy to cock. I never did see the spec but it has to be over 40 pounds but hey, I can do one armed left handed pushups now so there is always a bright side don't you think? This is a nice gun for the money and I don't regret the purchase at all.

Things I liked:Great Gun, Easy Parallax adjustment for scope, globe in the front barrel to protect the front sight, thumb hole.
Things I would have changed:Balance the rifle better (a lot of the weight is in the barrel), cocking effort is a little extreme, the stock had a nick in it, Creepy trigger, doesn't have fiber optic sights but a piece of metal.
What others should know:Doesn't seem to shoot as fast as claimed, I also bought a Mendoza RM 2800, I recommend this rifle just as much. And this DID NOT shoot through 1' plywood for me I don't know what the others are talking about .

Things I liked:I bought this in 22cal from PYRAMYDAIR. Very good company to do business with. The following I'm reporting is the average fps of a five shot string, thru an ALPHA CHRONY, also purchased thru PYRAMYDAIR. RWS HOBBY 11.9--932.1FPS, BEE SILVER BEAR 12.65--946.8FPS, BEE LAZER 13.36--908.7FPS, HN DIABOLO SPORT 13.74--907.1FPS, BEE TROPHY 14.0--897.6FPS, CHP 14.3--871.1FPS, RWS SUPER DOME 14.5--885.8FPS, BEE SILVER ACE 15.24--806.5FPS, HN SILOUETTE 16.36--821.5FPS, PRED POLY TIP 16.5--810.2FPS, BEE CROW MAG 18.20--773.6FPS, HN CUDA HVY MATCH 21.14--682.5FPS. The wood and metal, fit and finish is by far the best I've seen on any chinese springer. I can get dime size groups at ten meters from CHPs.
Things I would have changed:The trigger, very heavy. I'll get a GRT trigger later.
What others should know:Check all the screws..I just checked mine today and found the forward trigger guard screw is stripped. I dont think this screw holds the action to the stock. No big deal LOL. This is a big gun. Shoot it palm up under the forestock, then let it rock and roll.

Things I liked:This gun is VERY powerful and very accurate. I typically shoot 15.4 grain Gammo hunters out of them chronographed at an average 840fps. It is not very picky with pellets and I find the best performance from heavy pellets with soft skirts.
My shooting technique needs improvement so the best I can shoot off bench is .5 ctc inches at 20 yards in a 10 shot grouping. However there have many reviews on the net that this gun can perform much better.
Cocking effort is fairly easy and initially dry but this will clear up after 500+ rounds.
The scope that it arrived with is top notch as well.
Things I would have changed:The gun is incredibly long and heavy. It requires a 52inch scoped rifle case and most of the weight is in the front by the barrel. I would shorten the barrel so that the gun will balance and handle better in the field. This is less of a problem shooting off the bench. The gun came with a few nicks in the bluing and stock, as most chinese made guns do. The trigger is long, hard and creepy. It has not changed much after breakin.
What others should know:This gun is a great value if you are looking for a very powerful/accurate hunting rifle. However it is very hard for me to shoot anything distant off hand due to the balance and weight of the gun.

Things I liked:Very unique body design to accommodate for both lefty and regular gunner. The gun is designed to fit perfectly for those who are between 5 feet 6 inches to 6 feet in height, either skinny or moderately built. The Center Pointe scope mounted perfectly for the proper eyesight level, holding form, and provides excellent viewing needs for the accuracy needed shots.
The gun doesn't require the 200 shots breaking in period. After about 40 rounds of 0.22 Beeman Crow Magnum, the grouping goes from 2 inches, to a 0.25", to a hole-in-hole accuracy at 10 yards (30 feet), up to 20 yards (60 feet). It's still in its first 500 rounds break in, and hopefully, by the 500th shoot, the accuracy will suddenly improve beyond the 25 yards (75 feet) and beyond for all pellets.
The spring doesn't kick like a mule, similar to the hand guns or real sniper rifle, so, holding it lightly to increase the comfort is everything. Even my wife (a size 5 gal, with a 5'8" height) can hold the gun and fire with great comfort. The gun is indeed heavy for those who don't have a lot of upper body strength, but for moderately built individuals can hold that gun with ease without long term discomfort. I run around with it for hours, and only feel a tad tired from all the cocking.
Things I would have changed:A silencer or the spring and nozzle would be nice. Shooting it in an urban environment at 06:30 hour or after 19:00 hour can be hair raising for the local neighbor. It's as loud as my Spyder paintball gun with CO2 (around 87 decible). Slap your hand hard, and that's how loud it is, even with the heaviest 0.22 caliber pellet, like the Beeman Kodiak.
What others should know:For those who haven't use a springer before, just make a note for yourself to be careful on the first few shots. Rather than taking super accurate shots, heed the words of those who use it before you. Hold it tightly against your shoulder to fire a few rounds, so you can adjust to the kick-back strength of the spring. My wife jumped when she held the gun and shot it for the first time, not knowing how much of a recoil it had. Well, a bump on the cheek indicated to her that she need to held that gun just a tad tighter towards her body, and against her shoulder. If you're weak, or if the gun feels heavy, best to invest in a good bipod, or use your camera tripod and modify it to support your gun. Breathing it incorrectly without support can cause you to miss your target by 2 inches.
The accuracy is something to brag about, after the initial break in of 50 rounds. After 25 grounds, the accuracy increased from a 2" grouping to a 0.15" grouping using the JSP Predator and Beeman Crow Magnum. Passing the 50 round, the accuracy increases from 0.15" to pretty much hole-in-hole.
If you're planning to do any target shooting or pest control, keep the target in range of 20 yards (60 feet). Anything greater than 60 feet within the 500 initial rounds of the gun's life, the accuracy is poor. You have to continually compensate for each type of pellet due to air friction, which in terms brings down the velocity, and arcing starting to occur as the distant increases to the target.
If you're expecting the velocity to reach 1100fps every time for the 0.22" caliber, forget it. I had mobile chronos everywhere every time I shoot. At the best conditions using light pellets will max your velocity at 1020fps. At the worst conditions, your velocity drops to 700fps. Don't be discouraged though. The damage inflicted by the pellet from the gun is phenomenal. Using a Crow Magnum pellet, you will blow a nickle size hole into the body of a large size pigeon at 60 feet mark. You will not see a the deep penetrator pellet any where in the animal's body after impact, like the Predator. I'll report in when I bag the pesky gophers that had been terrorizing my yards for the past few years.
If you're target practicing, be aware that the blunt pellet will penetrate through two of the 1/2 inch cloth drawer/dresser panels at 30 yards (60 feet). It will create a hole in your tree trunk (especially the palm tree) about 1/2 deep. It will put a nice dent in your mortar wall if no protection is used for the wall. It will damage the power transformer on top of the telephone poles if you shoot at it (I didn't do it...). It will kill you, your pets, or anything that stands in front of it within 10 feet if you don't handle the gun properly.
Check the gun for any loose screw. Trust me, it's all loose! Tighten them up before you fire your first shot. When you cock it for the first few hundred rounds, you have to slap it (strike the largest tip end of the barrel just before the front sight) to dislodge the barrel from the forearm wooden housing. Mine was stuck on the first initial load. I had to slapped it at least 5 times to dislodge the barrel housing from the wooden body. After 40 shot, and light slap will do the trick.
The scope is quite accurate. Read the blog about zeroing the scope, and you'll understand it as you play with the scope. You don't need a shimmy to increase or decrease the scope's range, but you may need to if you're unlucky. Mind mounted and zeroed within 10 minutes, after 20 hots. The only pet peeve I have is the locking ring. You can tighten those lock rings down until you turn black and blue, but after 6 shots, the rings are loose. The cross hair is still at the same setting, and the accuracy remains, but the setting can be changed by accident since the lock rings are loosen from the firing.
Hope this info is of help. I just pray that users typed more detail report so others can get the full info before purchasing any thing. This gun is my choice of arsenal for pest control. May be some small game later in the fall, during migration season.

Things I liked:i have reached around the break in period on my 22cal. this gun is a beast its the first and last springer iv owed and will ever need. i had no trouble sighting it in at first it floted but around 100 rounds it started shootin harder faster and more accrute. itc awsome.
Things I would have changed:the trigger pulls tricky but ones u shoot it u get a good feel for it.
What others should know:this gun is worth the money and wait. i will put it up aganist a 17hmr at 50yards for nockdown and accurecy. buy one and u wont regret it.,

Things I liked:[.22 cal] The Centerpoint scope is far better than others i've seen included with purchase. I sighted this in with JSB predator pellets at 40 yards with excellent accuracy. On it's virgin run this morning, got a first shot drop on a cottontail at ~ 60 yards. Excellent power. "moderate" is a slight understament - it's in the hard category but worth the velocity.
Things I would have changed:I would definetly have Crossman re-design the break/cocking mechanism of the barrel. it's too tight- requires a slap down on the barrel to disengage the lock. If you don't crank it down to 'full cock", the trigger won't engage. NEEDS BREAKING IN.
What others should know:Gas spring not available.

Things I liked:Lets start off with Pyramid Air!! These guys/gals ROCK!! The gun is fantastic in many ways. The looks of the gun is nothing short of pure amazement! It looks like serious business! Besides a couple of VERY small scuffs on the underside of the forearm the gun was in excellent shape right out of the box. The scope is magnificent in many ways. 4-16x40AO illuminated reticle and a gun of this caliber under $500? Way to go Crosman/Benjamin Sheridan for making it, and way to go Pyramid Air for getting it to us in perfect condition.
Things I would have changed:I would only gripe about the trigger. It is a little tough at first, but you do get used to it after a while.
What others should know:I waited until I shot 400 shots through my .22 cal version before I wrote anything about it because I wanted to give my honest opinion about the gun after the break in period. Believe me I wanted to write this 2 weeks ago!! The power is phenomenal, and the accuracy is pretty darn good. I bought mine specifically for hunting purposes, so I sighted my scope in with predator pellets. These things RIP through this gun and never fall short of expectations. It is a little cumbersome to lug around the woods with, but it is my go to "hunter" now. The scope is crystal clear and once it's zeroed in; It's ON! Take the time to do the right things with your scope because it WILL make all the difference in the world. Check out this article by Tom Gaylord http://www.pyramydair.com/scope-shift-barrel-drop.shtml to insure your complete success with this gun. I have 4 springers now and this is a true pleasure to own and operate. Pyramid Airs team is beyond phenomenal!!

Things I liked:This gun is .....amazing!! very well handling, adjustable trigger and the red/green illumination scope. With 1500fps you can shot very long ranges.
Things I would have changed:the standard sight isn't very well. A fiber optic sight would be nice....
What others should know:it's a quite heavy gun! If you like to shot over 15 minutes or so, you better shot with bi-pods or something like this. depending on your build....
If you like to shot on a target you better do this over 15 yards with this velocity. I mostly shot from 50 yards on bottles or tins. If you use pellets under 8.0 grains you loose a lot of your accuracy but the gun sounds nearly like a real rifle.
I would recommend the "crow magnum", the "Hyper-Velocity Lead Free Field Pellets (Type 3 - Long Range)", or the "Beeman .177 Silver Arrow".
With this gun, you have a well product for a well price!!!!
The worst: bird/pest hunting (biger animals anyway) is illegal in swiss :-(

Things I liked:Solid feel. Good looker. My buddy just bought it and he asked me to sight the gun in. I did but I told him he really needs to break it in first... anyway, there are much better options fo the money, but if you feel like this is the one, go for it. One inch group at 30 yards shouldn't be a problem. Just stay subsonic, learn the firing behavior, use right techniques, play with different pellets but stick with the most accurate, pick a strong good quality scope, and go from there.
Things I would have changed:Trigger.
What others should know:This one vibrates and hold sensitive gun. Takes a lot to shoot it well.
Someone said he is the Navy firearm instructor? Obviously that person don't have a clue how to shoot a spring piston air gun accurately. Most of firearm techniques DO NOT work here. Do a research on that subject,sir... Oh, forget about sand bags! Only firearms and PCP air guns can really benefit from that. Tom Gaylord wrote more than enough here about spring piston guns and what it takes to be accurate with them.

Things I liked:Powerful, lots of knockdown power in 22. Excellent fit and finish. The thumbhole stock is an advantage (at least for me). The scope is top notch, maybe even too good for an airgun, if that's possible. Quite accurate right out of the box... this beginner shot 1.5 inch groups at 30 yards in no time flat. With a little more practice, pellet experimentation and a new scope mount (see below), I'm certain that groups under 1 inch will be easy to accomplish.
Things I would have changed:Without a doubt, it needs an adjustable scope mount. Rifle was still shooting a few inches high with the elevation knob cranked to the max "down" position. Had to shim the front of the scope to get things on target. MAKE SURE you check all the screws on the scope mount and gun for tightness before firing... just about all of them on my gun were loose.
What others should know:At just under 50 inches long and around 10 pounds, this is a BIG gun, there's nothing "compact" about it. Take that into account if you're smaller in size or like to go on long walking trips through the woods. The scope mount is the weak link in this package. Test it out first, but be prepared for the very real possibility that you'll want or need to upgrade to an adjustable mount. Overall though, I'm very pleased with this rifle. Considering that the scope by itself runs about $70 retail, the price point on this package is outstanding. I'd say it's on a par with rifles costing twice as much.

Things I liked:The power of the on the pellet, the feel of the gun, the scope. However this is the secnd break barrel i've owned, I thought If i bought a more expensive break barrel i would see improved accuracy, not ture, every shot is not that same, yeah it's close, but i can get a lot closer with my 60 dollar co2 pellet gun repeater. I was very dissapointed with it's accuracy. And for the record I'm a Navy shooting instructor, and I know how to shoot. I tested the gun laying down in a prone position with the gun resting on a sand bag.
Things I would have changed:Accuracy!

Things I liked:I reviewed this already and this is a follow up after 300 or so shots. Hole in hole accuracy at 20 yards. Look and feel. For an airgun, this is very good. Here are pictures of a penny shot at 20 yards with type 3 hyper velocity pellets, and some pictures of the rifle.

Things I would have changed:Like I said before, for some reason I can't get the scope zeroed in. It is as low as it goes, but the shot is still below the reticle and the elevation setting can't be lowered anymore, and neither can the scope. So i just aim 1/4 inch higher and it works great.

Things I liked:It looks as good as any cartridge firearm. Very powerful for a .177. Scope was dead-on at 20 ards right out of the box. Best air rifle I've ever owned.
Things I would have changed:Very little! Rifle is HEAVY, but this is an adult air rifle, definitely not a youth gun. Also very loud for an air rifle. Mine sounds like a .22 mag when fired. Hopefully it will quiet down some with more use.
What others should know:Power level close to rimfire cartridge. Use due caution & know where your shot will go before shooting.

Things I liked:Power, look, feel, scope, Awesomeness
Things I would have changed:Weight, little heavy but hey you can just work out more and get used to it.
What others should know:Make sure you get right pellets for it, some will cause it to, well sound like a .22 rifle. I case you don't want to upset the neighbors use a little heavier pellets. My choice is the Hyper-Velocity Lead Free Field Pellets (Type 3 - Long Range). They will go thru almost everything, i shot thru a 1/4" metal target at 100 yards, found the pellets in a tree behind it about an inch and in a half deep. I thought it was quite impressive. This guns scope is quite accurate right out of the box, and looks amazing as well. This gun is serious, feels and performs like the real deal, its exceeded my expectations so far, a definate buy for the person who wants power accuracy and the satisfaction of having your pellets accurately hitting the target almost every time. Overall, AWESOME!!!

Things I liked:The fit and finish is incredible, great looking rifle. This gun is big and heavy, and feels very much like a real rifle! It is quite loud for an airgun, which is a plus to me because once again it feels and sounds more like a real rifle. The gun is very accurate, and powerful.
Things I would have changed:Nothing at all. The scope didn't really adjust, because even after moving elevation dial as low as i could, it still needs to be lower. I guess I will just have to aim a little higher, or remount the scope.
What others should know:These pellets are great for penetration.

Things I would have changed:Weight, this gun, is ENORMOUS. I'm 5'8" and it comes to my neck when standing up. As a weight comparison, the M1 Garand we own is lighter than this rifle, and shorter too. We can't fit it into our rifle safe.
Accuracy varies greatly from pellet to pellet. I like to shoot long ranges, and with 8.2gr RWS Meisterkrugens, this has about an inch spread at 50 yards. I'm still sighting the scope in though. Accuracy with gamo PBA raptors is, nothing short of horrible at 50 yards.
What others should know:Beware with any light pellets if you're in a residential area. Anything under 7.5gr WILL break the sound barrier, and sound just like a .22 rimfire. At first, you may think there's a problem with the rifle, as it is VERY hard to break the barrel at first, especially with constant force. You'll need to grab it by the thumb piece next to the scope, and by the end of the barrel, and give it a swift knee right at the break point.

Things I liked:Mine is .177 cal. This is an absolutely beautiful looking large rifle. The fit and finish is way beyond what I'd hoped for. I want to hang this one on the wall. Not just a looker- this gun can SHOOT!!! Easy sight in of the excellent Centerpoint scope with very impressive accuracy right out of the box (about 3/8 ctc @ 25yd) with cph. This will only get better as it gets broken in/dialed in and I become more familiar with it! Very powerful. Recoil is noticeable but not bothersome with very little buzz from the spring. Other things I like-
1> An extra spare battery, nice lint free cloth, spare screws, and allen wrenches are included for the scope.
2> Instructions for the scope and rifle are excellent.
3> 50 free hollow point alloy pellets, with pouch, is a nice touch.
4> Packaging is good. This rifle is boxed inside one large solid piece of styrofoam.
5> Did I mention this rifle is beautiful?
Things I would have changed:NOTHING. Absolutely nothing.
What others should know:The Super Streak is a massive air rifle. If you like rifles that are over four feet long and over 10 lbs, as I do, than this one is for you. I'm a 6'3" tall linebacker size man and I find it big. Cocking effort isn't bad but I can see that it might be a challenge for a smaller person due to the large and long stature of this "Big Ben". Tom Gaylord's review of this rifle, found in the Blog on this site, is spot on.
