Shipping restrictions for
airguns, airsoft guns, blank guns & slingshots

It's up to YOU to know the laws in your state, county and city and to fully comply with them. The following are examples of some state and local restrictions governing airguns and airsoft guns:

No airguns or BB guns can be shipped to addresses in Washington, DC.

No airguns or BB guns can be shipped to addresses in New York City and its boroughs: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens and Staten Island. The NYC zip codes affected are: 100xx-104xx, 111xx, 112xx-114xx, 116xx.

Residents of Chicago, IL, cannot buy any airgun directly from us.

Residents of IL cannot buy airguns from us that are 700 fps or higher or airguns that are over .18 caliber.

Residents of New Jersey can buy BB guns from us through a designated local gun store after acquiring an Airgun Permit. Airsoft guns are not restricted.

Cite from New Jersey law: "A 'firearm' means any handgun, rifle, shotgun, air gun, gas gun, machine gun, or 'any gun.'"

Residents of Michigan may purchase anything on our site except for pellet guns measuring 30 inches or less (overall length). These guns are regulated by Michigan as firearms and require a concealed gun permit or a Michigan state license to purchase a pistol. Blank guns, guns with unrifled barrels and airsoft guns are NOT included in this restriction regardless of length. They may be purchased without any permit or license.

Michigan residents may purchase airguns that require state permits or licenses by following these steps:

1. Inform Pyramyd Air of the item you want to purchase.
2. The item will be shipped to the designated dealer/retailer in your area. You must find a participating dealer/retailer and let us know where to ship your gun.
3. Go to your local police department and obtain a permit to purchase the airgun. Each airgun purchase must have a separate permit.
4. After the permit is issued to you by the police, take it to the gun store where your gun was shipped.
5. After the permit is presented to the store and their fee is paid, they will give you the airgun.
6. Take the airgun back to the police department for a safety check and ballistics test.
7. After the tests are conducted and they determine that the airgun is safe, you can take the airgun home.

Johnson City, Tennessee: No airguns, airsoft guns or slingshots can be shipped.

Blank guns

Blank guns cannot be shipped to addresses in Chicago, IL; Virginia; and New York City and its boroughs: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens and Staten Island. The NYC zip codes affected are: 100xx-104xx, 111xx, 112xx-114xx, 116xx.

Slingshots

Slingshots, slingshot ammo and slingshot supplies cannot be shipped to the following states, counties or cities:

Delaware: Dover & Wilmington
Florida: St. Augustine
Illinois: Evergreen Park
New Jersey
New York: Only wrist-braced slingshots are illegal.
Massachusetts
Minnesota: Duluth
Rhode Island
South Carolina: Charleston
Tennessee: Knoxville & Johnson City
Utah: Salt Lake County
Virginia: Falls Church
